That tone startled Fu's father at the kitchen door and the four brothers inside the kitchen; five grown men turned their heads in unison toward the main room.

The brothers didn't stop their work, but no one continued their previous conversation; each one perked up their ears, listening to the sounds from the main room.

Even Fu's father shifted his position, wanting to know what was happening inside the room.

They heard Hao Yanhong raise her voice shrilly: "How is that possible? You're lying through your teeth; where did you get the money to buy a house?"

Liu Chuxue, however, smiled: "Your hand is reaching far too long. How my money was obtained naturally doesn't require me to report it to you, but every single penny of my money comes from legitimate sources."

Hao Yanhong naturally still didn't believe it: "You, a country bumpkin, have only been in the city for how long? Buying that house isn't a small sum; you tell me every penny comes from legitimate sources? You really dare to say that?"

At this moment, Fu Yan Cheng, who was nearly finished washing the dishes outside, directly flung the rag onto the kitchen counter: "Second brother, what do you and your wife mean? You can't even sort out your own family matters, yet you're sticking your nose into our household? Did you get kicked in the head by a donkey?"

After speaking, he walked straight out of the kitchen: "Wife, the dishes are done; we should go. Don't let people without brains ruin our mood and affect the baby in your belly."

Hearing his voice, Liu Chuxue stood up as well: "You're right."

However, just as she prepared to walk out, Fu Yan Cheng entered the room; while reaching out to support her, he cast a cold glance at Hao Yanhong: "Second sister-in-law, if you want to live well, work hard yourself. Don't keep staring at other people's things. I reiterate: we will not lend the house. Do you understand?"

Hao Yanhong didn't expect this couple to give her no face at all: "I just wanted to borrow your house to stay for a while; is it necessary for you two to give me such a loss of face?"

Fu Yan Cheng looked at the second brother standing at the door, who had remained silent: "If I don't say it this way, you won't understand. We, as a couple, have no time to argue with you."

"You also know that my wife is very likely pregnant now; I certainly won't let you move in. With all your daily nonsense, how can my wife rest peacefully to nurture the fetus?"

After speaking, he looked at Fu Yanwei at the door again: "Second brother, I don't care whether it was your idea for the second sister-in-law to go ask people to borrow a house to stay, or her own idea; I am now clearly telling you: we will not lend it. We just want to live our small life in peace."

After speaking, he supported Liu Chuxue: "Mom and Dad, we are leaving first; we will notify you when we have news."

While speaking, he nodded to the eldest brother and sister-in-law, and the third brother and sister-in-law, then supported her and walked straight out of the courtyard gate.
