Chapter 1204: Wife, You've Been Wronged

Liu Chuxue carried the items straight to the logistics department.

Sister Jiang saw her approach: "Sister, I was just saying I'd go find you at noon to eat in the canteen together, yet you've come first."

Liu Chuxue took one of the items from her hands and handed it to her: "Dried seafood I brought back; take it home and cook it for the children to try."

Sister Jiang didn't expect Liu Chuxue to bring her specialty goods: "All that way, and you still thought of me. I'll thank you, Auntie, on behalf of those rascals."

She didn't yet know what had happened at the office building earlier: "Sister, you've accomplished such a great feat this time; shouldn't the factory be promoting you?"

Liu Chuxue glanced around, pulled her aside, leaned close to Sister Jiang, and whispered a few words.

After she finished speaking, Sister Jiang's face looked very grim: "Have they gone mad?"

Liu Chuxue patted Sister Jiang's hand reassuringly and continued whispering her next plan: "I was still hesitating, but this has made the decision for me, which is quite good."

Even so, Sister Jiang still wore an expression of anger: "They actually forced someone with your abilities to leave; I'll just wait and see their downfall."

She didn't stay long: "Sister Jiang, I won't stay long; I still need to go to the Propaganda Section to deliver a portion to Duan Ruirui. From now on, you'll have to look after her for me; she's my cousin's fiancée, my future cousin-in-law."

Sister Jiang only knew the two got along well and didn't expect this additional relationship: "No problem. On my patch of ground, I guarantee I'll take excellent care of her."

Leaving the logistics department, she walked toward the Propaganda Section.

She happened to see Duan Ruirui drawing a bulletin board ahead: "Duan Ruirui."

The earlier incident hadn't spread yet: "Liu Chuxue, I was just saying I'd come find you after finishing my work."

Seeing the items she carried: "Did you bring me something delicious?"

Liu Chuxue held up the items in her hand: "I brought you local chicken cakes; you'll surely like them. I also brought some dried seafood; you'll need someone to cook it for you."

Duan Ruirui jumped down from the table, raised her chalk-dusted hands, and hugged Liu Chuxue with her arms: "I knew you were the best."

After the two lingered together for a while, Liu Chuxue finally said: "I still have things to do; please take this portion of dried seafood over to Ning Xiaoyu for me."

Duan Ruirui playfully saluted: "Mission accomplished."

Seeing that Ning Xiaoyu had no chicken cakes, her heart felt even happier: she was special in Liu Chuxue's heart.

Liu Chuxue exited the factory gate again forty minutes later.

The security section's patrol guard saw Liu Chuxue come out: "Accountant Xiao, I haven't seen your husband arrive yet."

Liu Chuxue smiled and thanked him first: "He might arrive a bit later; please just pass the message to him for me."

What she didn't expect was that, not long after she left the factory gate, Fu Yan Cheng drove up: "Wife, where are you going?"

Speaking, he opened the door, got out, and helped her into the passenger seat.

Liu Chuxue didn't hide what had happened that morning; she recounted the entire incident to Fu Yan Cheng in full detail.

Fu Yan Cheng's face immediately darkened upon hearing it: "Wife, you've been wronged. Rest assured, I certainly won't let that Qin Ruoyun have a good time."

Liu Chuxue didn't say anything about not needing help; even if Fu Yan Cheng didn't act, she wouldn't let Qin Ruoyun have a good time either.

The car slowly started moving: "Wife, do you have any other arrangements? Should we go there now, or is there somewhere else we need to go?"

Liu Chuxue leaned back: "Let's go home first to pick up the gifts for my eldest uncle and my youngest aunt; since the car is delivering today, we might as well take them along."

Fu Yan Cheng, thinking about how to avenge his wife, showed no trace of it on his face: "Alright, I'll follow my wife's lead; let's go now."
