Indeed, the bowl of sauce meant for Mo Ruhua was in the little one's hands.

His little action made everyone laugh.

Tao Saozi took the bowl from her son's hands: "Let me carry it; it's truly frightening."

Fu Yan Cheng had already poured the sauce into his own bowl and was washing Tao Saozi's bowl.

Hearing Tao Saozi's voice from next door, Liu Chuxue patted Fu Yan Cheng's arm: "I'll go deliver the bowl; there's hot water in the thermos, so wash up and get ready for dinner."

Hearing this, Fu Yan Cheng smiled: "I smelled the fragrance as soon as I entered the courtyard; what delicious food did you make?"

Fu Yan Cheng didn't wash up first; instead, he followed Liu Chuxue out of the courtyard, waited until she handed the bowl to Tao Saozi and exchanged a few pleasantries, then half-embraced her and returned to the kitchen.

Seeing the food on the stove: "Wife, you've worked hard these past few days; from now on, whenever I'm not on a mission, I'll handle all the big and small chores at home."

Fu Yan Cheng settled her in the rocking chair at the kitchen doorway, then took the thermos to the courtyard's water basin to wash up, glancing back from time to time.

The young couple exchanged glances across the space from time to time, making the air feel sweet and cloying.

Liu Chuxue waved her hand: "I just ate before you returned."
