Chapter 1306: Chance Encounter with Guo Yueliang

They hadn't been at the platform long before the bus arrived; not many people were riding at this hour.

The two got on and found seats.

Fu Yan Cheng took Chuxue's hand in his again.

Chuxue glared at him to no avail, so she let him be; after all, there were no passengers behind them.

Thinking of going to her mother-in-law's tomorrow morning, she said, "I wonder if Mom has set a wedding date for Xiao Wan and the others yet?"

Fu Yan Cheng thought of his older brother's earlier call: "It should be chosen, but Brother said Mom picked several dates and let Xiao Wan and the others choose."

Remembering something, he added, "Didn't we say we, as older brother and sister-in-law, would prepare the big items for Xiao Wan? Mom said Aunt Jiangfeng had already prepared the money and coupons when we met before, so that plan probably won't work."

Chuxue didn't mind: "That's fine; we'll just prepare something else. We won't short the sister-in-law."

As she spoke, she was already thinking of what to switch to: "How about using the electric-fan coupon you had someone find for you before? We could just give them an electric fan."

Fu Yan Cheng disagreed: "I had someone find that because I hated seeing you too hot to sleep. That one won't do."

Seeing him refuse so seriously, she thought of the wool coat she'd bought in Guang City; only the item was in her space, and taking it out would require an excuse: "Alright then, I'll think of something else."

As they chatted, after the bus took on passengers again, someone suddenly called out, "Xiao Chuxue."

Seeing how upset Guo Yueliang was, Chuxue said, "Alright, this is my fault. I've been busy since coming back and haven't had time to go to the newspaper office to find you."

With that, she introduced her to Fu Yan Cheng: "This is Guo Yueliang, the friend I told you about from Guang City. She's a reporter at the Beijing newspaper office."

Then she introduced Guo Yueliang: "Liangliang, this is my husband, Fu Yan Cheng. He's a soldier."

After both nodded and asked her, Guo Yueliang spoke up: "Chuxue, why did you quit? Did they bully you?"

Chuxue could see she truly cared: "It's a long story. I'm getting off at the next stop soon. Once I'm done with these few days of work, I'll come to the newspaper office to find you."

As she spoke, the bus had already arrived at the stop.

Guo Yueliang could only swallow her words: "Alright, you absolutely must not forget."

Chuxue stood up and walked toward the bus door: "Got it. I'll come find you once I'm done with my current tasks in a few days."

After getting off, she waved goodbye to Guo Yueliang.

Fu Yan Cheng watched the bus pull away from the platform: "That girl has clear eyes; she's someone worth befriending. My wife has good taste."

He could tell that girl truly cared for his wife.

Chuxue said proudly, "Of course. We first met in Guangdong, then ran into each other again on the bus. Our fate is no small thing. Besides, I really like her personality; we get along very well. Naturally, we'll visit each other more often in the future."

They chatted until they reached home.

After Fu Yan Cheng helped her wash up and had her lie down on the bed first, he went out to take a cold shower to cool his inner fire, then entered the room.
