Liu Chuxue, holding Xia Qiu's arm, looked at Xiao Fu: "Didn't I say Yan Cheng has been discharged and is resting at home? I told you not to worry, yet you all took leave to come over."

Xiao Fu, however, wore a disapproving expression: "That is not right of you. Yan Cheng was injured and hospitalized; you should have informed the family."

Perhaps feeling his tone was somewhat inappropriate, he quickly added an explanation: "You are pregnant now; if we had known from the start, we could have come to help you."

The reason Fu Yanwan had not come out to greet them was that she was busy at home.

Fu Yan Cheng, seeing her ask, felt like smiling: "Naturally, I had someone procure it. With this electric fan, your sister-in-law will be able to sleep soundly from now on."

As he spoke, his gaze remained fixed on Liu Chuxue; anyone could see the doting affection in his eyes.

Fu Yan Cheng nodded: "Dad, you are right; I will keep an eye on her."

Fu Yan Cheng led the people inside, and Fu Yanwan followed shortly after, carrying tea and sliced watermelon into the room: "Uncle, Sister Xia Qiu, Brother-in-law, please sit for a moment; I will go prepare something delicious for you."

After she went out, they asked about Fu Yan Cheng's injuries, and only then did they begin chatting about other things.

Xia Qiu pulled Liu Chuxue aside to whisper: "Your brother-in-law has finally established himself in the factory; Director Zheng even assigned a skilled old master to the workshop director to guide your brother-in-law. He has been very caring toward him, hiding nothing. In just these few days, your brother-in-law can already cut materials independently. Liu Chuxue, sister is truly grateful to you."

Liu Chuxue smiled and patted her hand: "We are sisters; we are meant to watch out for and help each other. Besides, didn't I say before that I am your backbone? If you are doing well, then I am at ease."
