Chapter 140: Uncle is a smart man
Chuxue went to look at the sand on the truck; there was much more than what she had borrowed from Uncle Liangzi: "Isn't this too much?"
Fu Yancheng looked at the slopes in front of and behind the house: "Aren't you still going to reinforce the slopes? It will come in handy then."
Chuxue didn't expect him to have thought of this too, but she still asked: "How did you know?"
A smile curled at the corner of his mouth: "On the way to the brick factory that day, I asked your Uncle Liangzi’s youngest son."
Since he was so attentive, she couldn't help but appreciate it: "You really went to a lot of trouble, thank you."
"It’s not a big deal. My life was saved by you, so isn't it only right to share some of the burden for you?"
Why did this sound so awkward?
But before she could figure it out, someone came over: "Young man, why are you here?"
Fu Yancheng smiled and handed the man a cigarette: "Uncle, I’m here to deliver river sand, and by the way, help train that puppy."
The man looked at Fu Yancheng, then at Chuxue, and not knowing what he thought of, suddenly laughed: "I understand, I understand."
Fu Yancheng replied: "Uncle is a smart man."
Chuxue had just greeted someone on the side, and when she turned around, she saw Fu Yancheng and the man huddled together talking about something.
But seeing her look over, the two smiled and stopped talking.
The man asked with a smile: "Where should I unload this sand? I’ll call some people over."
Uncle Liangzi also walked over at this time: "What sand?"
Chuxue explained quickly: "Uncle, Comrade Fu sent some sand over. Can that big truck fit into the place where you stored the sand before?"
Liangzi understood her meaning as soon as he heard this. He looked at Fu Yancheng and then said: "The place is still a bit narrow, but it should be possible to back in. It just depends on how his driving skills are."
Fu Yancheng smiled: "Just have Uncle find someone to lead the way."
This "Uncle" made Liangzi scan him up and down for a long time: "Fine, I’ll have my youngest son, Cunyi, lead you."
After saying this, he turned and beckoned to his youngest son who was working: "Cunyi, come here."
Liu Cunyi was working, but his eyes had been fixed on this side; he really liked this big truck: "Dad, what’s the matter?"
Even though he said that, his eyes were still fixed on the truck. Uncle Liangzi slapped his youngest son on the head: "What are you looking at?"
"Looking at that big truck."
After saying this, Liu Cunyi reacted and looked embarrassed: "Dad, what did you say?"
Uncle Liangzi was amused: "You like the truck that much?"
Liu Cunyi looked envious: "If only I could drive this big thing, it would be really cool to sit inside."
Uncle Liangzi rolled his eyes at his son: "What kind of daydream are you having?"
Liu Cunyi smiled and touched his head: "I was just saying."
Seeing his son like this, Uncle Liangzi laughed: "Alright, you lead Comrade Fu to unload the sand at the place where we stored it before. Remember, don't unload too much; just unload as much as we pulled away before, understand?"
Liu Cunyi nodded. He was so happy; he could sit in the driver’s seat again.
Chuxue didn't follow. She had heard from an aunt in the village yesterday that her sister-in-law had strawberry seedlings, so she entrusted her to ask if she could spare a few for her.
And just now, the aunt’s young daughter came to pass the message, asking her to go get the seedlings when she had time.
She didn't follow, and Fu Yancheng was a bit disappointed, but this guy immediately thought of a way: "Fine, you go busy yourself. By the way, where should I unload the rest of the sand later?"
