Before Fu Yan Cheng could call his mother, she came to find him first.

Liu Chuxue hadn't expected her mother-in-law to come; seeing Fu Yan Cheng's mother enter with Mo Ruhua, Liu Chuxue was momentarily stunned: "Mom, how did you get here?"

Fu Yan Cheng's mother's face was full of smiles: "Work at the unit has been busy enough these past few days, so I thought I'd come see you."

Fu Yan Cheng's mother saw Liu Chuxue's belly: "You've really worked hard. Why don't I take leave early to come take care of you for a while?"

Seeing the sweater she was knitting in her hands: "Are you knitting this for Yan Cheng?"

Mo Ruhua pouted playfully: "It's not like he's a stranger; why be so polite? Alright, I've brought him, so I have to go back and get busy."

Liu Chuxue fetched a roasted sweet potato from the kitchen for her: "Take it back to eat; it's freshly roasted, eat it while it's hot."

Mo Ruhua smiled as soon as she saw the roasted sweet potato: "You really understand me; I was just craving this. I won't be polite then."

Mo Ruhua greeted Fu Yan Cheng's mother and then left.

With only the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law left, Fu Yan Cheng's mother helped Liu Chuxue back into the room: "See what Mom brought you?"

After letting Liu Chuxue sit down, she began pulling out the things she had brought: "This is beef jerky your eldest brother brought back from Inner Mongolia during his business trip a few days ago; he asked me to bring it to you."

Liu Chuxue smiled as she accepted it: "Mom, thank you for thanking my eldest brother and sister-in-law for me."

Fu Yan Cheng's mother's face was full of smiles: "These are diapers I made for the children; they've all been washed and dried. Rest assured, they're all new. I found an acquaintance and bought quite a bit of defective cotton fabric from the textile factory, along with some fabric scraps, which I used to make these."

Liu Chuxue hadn't expected her mother-in-law to have made so much: "Mom, thank you so much."

Fu Yan Cheng's mother's hands didn't stop moving: "You child, being polite with me. Making diapers for my grandson and granddaughter is what I should do."

After that came some supplements: malted milk powder, milk powder, pastries, and even White Rabbit milk candy: "Put these away safely; when you're hungry, they're just right to tide you over."

Liu Chuxue thought of her sister-in-law's matter: "Mom, since you came this time, has Xiao Wan's wedding date been set?"

Fu Yan Cheng's mother smiled: "Yes, it's set for the twenty-sixth of next month. Jiangfeng has already contacted his aunt's side, so he can make it in time. We won't hold a big celebration; just a few tables at the state-run hotel, and we'll buy some candies to distribute to colleagues at the unit."

Liu Chuxue nodded: "That's good; after all, the two of them haven't been at the unit for long."

Thinking of something: "We've prepared an electric rice cooker as a wedding gift for Xiao Wan. Please tell the other brothers and sisters-in-law later so they don't duplicate it."

Hearing Liu Chuxue's words, Fu Yan Cheng's mother couldn't help but smile inwardly: The fourth daughter-in-law has a good relationship with the younger sister-in-law; she's clearly thinking entirely of Xiao Wan. She's actually trying to pressure those few families, yet she says it so refreshingly and elegantly.

Thinking of the matter of the daughter getting a room, the eldest uncle of the Xiao family had also helped: "Xiao Wan and the others' housing application has been approved. This time, we must thank your eldest uncle; he put in a lot of effort in between."

"The two large rooms allocated to them will be spacious enough even after they have children. Once I finish these few days, I'll take them over to visit and thank the person properly."
