Chapter 1543: Misunderstood

After the Xiao family took their leave of Liu Chuxue, Zhang Yurong stared fixedly at the triplets, her face full of envy.

Seeing her like this, Fu's mother called her into the kitchen to help cook, fearing she might say something unpleasant again, which would make her, as the mother-in-law, lose all face.

Only Fu Yanwan remained in the room: "Sister-in-law, these three little ones are truly well-behaved; it's been so long, yet they haven't cried."

Liu Chuxue thought of the camera Fu Yan Cheng had brought back a few days ago: "Xiao Wan, let me take a photo of you aunt and niece."

Fu Yanwan's face lit up with surprise: "Fourth Sister-in-law, you have a camera?"

A smile curved Liu Chuxue's lips: "Mm, I thought it would be good to record the children's growth, so I bought one."

Fu Yanwan said excitedly: "Great, then what are we waiting for? Where is the camera? I'll go get it for you."

Liu Chuxue pointed to the cabinet: "It's in the drawer below; open it and you'll see."

After Fu Yanwan got the camera, she first asked Liu Chuxue to take a group photo of them aunt and niece, then she held the three little ones and took a separate photo of each: "Sister-in-law, when will these photos be developed?"

Liu Chuxue put the camera away: "They will certainly be developed by the time of the full-month celebration; I'll develop an extra set for you then."

Fu Yanwan smiled so widely her eyes disappeared: "Alright, then I'll just wait; I can show them off to others then."

After speaking, she laughed to herself.

Seeing her like this, Liu Chuxue said: "If you like them, you and your husband should hurry up and have one."

Fu Yanwan's face turned red immediately, and she unconsciously touched her own belly.

Liu Chuxue misunderstood at once: "Are you pregnant?"

Hearing the words "are you pregnant," Fu Yanwan suddenly came to her senses: "What pregnant?"

Liu Chuxue used her eyes to gesture for Fu Yanwan to look at her own hand: "With that gesture of yours, what else could it be but pregnant?"

Fu Yanwan hadn't blushed just now, but hearing this sentence, her face turned red instantly: "Fourth Sister-in-law, I'm not; I was just thinking that I've been married for some time now, and I don't know if I'll get pregnant."

Hearing her sister-in-law say this, Liu Chuxue knew she had misunderstood: "You are still young; just let nature take its course."

Hearing Fourth Sister-in-law say this, Fu Yanwan actually let out a "pfft" laugh: "Fourth Sister-in-law, how much older are you than me?"

The two sisters-in-law laughed together in a heap.

This made Zhang Yurong, who was helping in the kitchen, very envious; the sister-in-law was closest to the fourth daughter-in-law, who had entered the family last, and talk of sisters-in-law and sisters-in-law being natural enemies simply did not exist; the two were as close as if they wore the same pair of pants.

Seeing there was nothing much to do in the kitchen, she said: "Mom, there's nothing more to do; I'll go see the children."

Fu's mother didn't want to keep her there any longer: "Alright, go ahead."

As soon as Zhang Yurong entered the confinement room, she asked: "What are you laughing at? I heard it from outside."

Fu Yanwan smiled: "Third Sister-in-law, come sit quickly."

As soon as Zhang Yurong drew near, her eyes stuck to the triplets again, and somehow her mind went astray: "Fourth Sister-in-law, if you're too busy, maybe I can take one back to help you raise it."

After she said this, both Liu Chuxue and Yanwan were stunned for a moment.

Liu Chuxue reacted first: "Third Sister-in-law, that's not a funny joke; the three of them stayed in the same womb for so long; how could I possibly let them be separated?"

Zhang Yurong also realized she had said the wrong thing and quickly changed the subject: "Xiao Wan, did you see your second sister-in-law off?"

Fu Yanwan nodded: "Yes, I saw her flag down a military transport truck; she probably mentioned my fourth brother's name, and they agreed to give her a ride back to Huicheng."

After Fu Yanwan finished answering, Zhang Yurong finally realized she had mentioned someone she shouldn't have again.
