Auntie Wei, hearing no sound from outside the kitchen, came out to see them still standing there: "Chuxue, hurry, eat the dumplings."

Chuxue smiled and replied: "Coming right away."

Fu Yan Cheng had already set out dipping sauce for her; his eyes were full of doting affection. He had naturally heard her conversation with Wenbin just now; his wife was truly very kind: "Wife, thank you."

Chuxue looked up: "Thank me for what?"

Fu Yan Cheng smiled instead: "For everything."

Chuxue patted him: "Stop being so mushy. Even such hot dumplings can't shut your mouth. Eat quickly; finish and leave early."

The reason Chuxue wanted Fu Yan Cheng to leave early was that the road back to the military district had been damaged by heavy rains a few days ago; one section was washed away entirely, and another half was washed away. The remaining half might barely allow vehicles to pass, but one careless move could send someone falling off.
