Zhang Yurong had originally planned to settle Fu Jinyi's matters before school started, so she wouldn't need to return to the Fu family after leaving.

She never expected that someone at the local police station knew her former father-in-law and actually went to inform him.

Liu Chuxue spoke: "Stay at my place before school starts. My triplets and I have returned to the military dependents' courtyard. Only the spouses of Fu Yan Cheng's comrades are living in that courtyard for now."

Zhang Yurong did not expect the fourth brother's wife to be the first to offer help at this moment: "Is that allowed?"

Liu Chuxue nodded: "Once you finish packing, I'll have Fu Yan Cheng help you move there."

The reason she helped was that, as a fellow mother, she did not want Fu Jinyi to return to Tianjin hastily with her, fearing further mishaps.

Zhang Yurong did not refuse; after all, she still had many things to settle. If she returned to Tianjin, she would have to spend money on travel expenses to come back, and taking Fu Jinyi along would be inconvenient. Yet leaving a young child alone in the rented room in Tianjin carried the risk of an accident, the consequences of which she could not bear.

With a face full of gratitude, she said: "Liu Chuxue, I won't say too many words of thanks. I, Zhang Yurong, will remember this kindness."

Liu Chuxue said nothing more: "Then I'll go out first. Take your time packing."

After Liu Chuxue finished speaking, she left the room and walked toward her mother-in-law's room.

Zhang Yurong efficiently packed her own and her daughter's belongings, her heart filled with a wave of desolation.

I was thinking that since we are staying at the military dependents' courtyard for now, we might as well let her stay with us first. Once she settles her affairs, she can take Fu Jinyi back to Tianjin peacefully."

Hearing Liu Chuxue's words, Fu's mother felt another wave of emotion in her heart: "Liu Chuxue, Mom thanks you."

Liu Chuxue stepped forward and sat beside Fu's mother: "Mom, no matter what, Fu Jinyi is an innocent child. I cannot bear to see a child suffer."

Fu's father looked at the eldest and the fourth: "You two find someone and try to investigate. See where that rascal, the third son, is."

The two brothers exchanged a glance and replied helplessly: "Alright, we will go out and inquire right away."
