Chapter 1789: I Was Wrong, Wife
The two had not seen each other for many days, so naturally it was another night of thunder striking the earth.
When Liu Chuxue woke the next day, the sun was already high in the sky.
No sooner had she opened her eyes than Fu Yan Cheng, as if sensing it, pushed the door open and walked in: "Wife, you're awake. Is there anywhere you feel unwell?"
Liu Chuxue immediately pulled the quilt over herself and gritted her teeth: "You still have the face to speak? If you hadn't been restless all night, could I still be in bed so late?"
Hearing this, Fu Yan Cheng laughed: "Yes, yes, yes, it's my fault."
Saying this, he pulled the quilt off Liu Chuxue's face, kissed her forehead, and said: "You get ready; I'll go bring the meal back."
Liu Chuxue quickly stopped him: "I'll go out to eat; you don't need to bring it into the room."
Hearing Liu Chuxue say this, Fu Yan Cheng replied: "Alright, then I'll go bring you water to wash your face."
Seeing him act this way, Liu Chuxue said: "Alright, then go ahead."
As soon as Fu Yan Cheng left, Liu Chuxue reached out and grabbed her clothes, but the moment she lifted the quilt, she saw the marks on her body and froze right there.
The body was simply too fair-skinned, covered entirely with the marks of their union.
She reached out, took a cup from the bedside table, secretly drew a cup of space spring water, drank it in one gulp, put the cup down, and quickly pulled her clothes on.
Just as she had finished getting ready, Fu Yan Cheng entered the room carrying a basin: "Wife, the water is here."
Thinking of the marks on her body, Liu Chuxue couldn't help but glare at him: "After I wash up, I'll go to the kitchen to eat myself; you go get on with your work."
Fu Yan Cheng thought of the work he had left half-done in the backyard: "Alright, when you're ready, call me, and we'll set off."
Liu Chuxue remembered her promise to him last night: "Understood."
She quickly got ready, went to the kitchen to eat the food kept warm on the stove, and only then went to the backyard and called out: "Let's go."
Hearing the call, Fu Yan Cheng stopped repairing the chicken coop halfway: "Coming."
When Fu Yan Cheng drew near, Liu Chuxue asked furtively: "Where are they?"
Fu Yan Cheng held back his laughter: "Alright, there's no one at home now; you don't need to act like a thief."
Liu Chuxue raised her hand and slapped him: "What are you saying? Who..."
She stopped halfway through, rolled her eyes at Fu Yan Cheng, and said: "It's all your fault; otherwise, would I need to act like this?"
Seeing her like this, Fu Yan Cheng leaned close to Liu Chuxue: "Who was the one last night who kept shouting not to stop? Now you want to turn the tables?"
Liu Chuxue raised her hand and threw a punch: "Still talking?"
Fu Yan Cheng laughed and dodged to the side: "I was wrong, Wife."
The two chatted and joked, play-fighting their way out the main gate.
Only then did Fu Yan Cheng say: "They went out to familiarize themselves with the surroundings here."
The two went to the First Machinery Department, submitted the documents, and Liu Chuxue specifically asked for extra ration coupons before heading straight for the Department Store with Fu Yan Cheng.
Seeing that the weather was getting cooler day by day, clothes for the three little ones naturally had to be prepared; after browsing around, she bought only one ready-made outfit for each of them, as she truly couldn't find anything else she liked.
She called Fu Yan Cheng and went directly to the fabric section, pulled out some brown corduroy, and also grabbed a piece of ginger-yellow; adding the ready-made outfits she had bought, that made three outfits.
Children grow fast; there's no need to make too many, just enough for changing is fine.
After walking forward for a while, she found some mountaineering jackets for children on sale; the styles were nice, and there were many colors, so she bought one for each of the three little ones to wear outside this winter for wind protection.
Fu Yan Cheng saw her constantly buying things for the children: "Wife, don't just focus on them; buy one for yourself too; I see there are adult-sized ones over there."
