Chapter 367: I Won't Laugh at You
Fu's mother watched the brother and sister putting on a show: "Enough, you're not afraid Kong Yizhang will laugh at you."
Kong Yizhang chuckled as he watched them: "It's fine, I haven't seen this for the first time."
Upon hearing this, Fu Yanwan felt a bit embarrassed and glared at her fourth brother: "Hmph, since you didn't forget to bring me along today, I won't hold it against you."
Fu Yan Cheng's eyes held a smile: "Alright, alright, my sister is generous."
Fu Yanwan knew when to stop: "Let's go, I'll take you to see where I live."
Kong Yizhang was quick-witted and ran straight to the driver's seat: "I'll drive."
Fu Yanwan told her parents about her life after arriving at the farm while directing Kong Yizhang: "Brother Yizhang, turn right ahead, then go straight in, and the second row is there."
As the car entered the Ding Zhiqing Point, those Ding Zhiqing who hadn't gone to work due to illness or injury heard the noise and walked out of the rooms.
Seeing the car stop steadily, Fu Yanwan got out: "Mom, Dad, we're here. I live in the innermost room of this row."
The houses were brick and tile structures, but built very low to save materials, and each room wasn't very large either; six Ding Zhiqing lived in one room. To be honest, it was really crowded.
Seeing his daughter not complain to them, Fu's father couldn't help but look at his daughter with new respect; it seemed she had grown up since leaving her parents and was no longer that spoiled brat.
But for some reason, Fu's father felt quite uncomfortable in his heart.
After all, they were a couple who had lived together for most of their lives; Fu's mother glanced at him sideways: "What's wrong? You're not used to your daughter not clinging to you, acting spoiled, or complaining?"
Caught by his wife, Fu's father coughed lightly and lowered his voice: "Where did you get that idea? Don't talk nonsense."
Fu's mother laughed: "I wouldn't laugh at you."
Fu's father turned to look at her, his eyes full of accusation: You won't laugh at me, so what are you doing right now?
Fu Yanwan pointed to a bunk inside the room: "Mom, Dad, I live there."
The room was truly small; Fu Yan Cheng and Kong Yizhang only glanced at the doorway and didn't go in, after all, this was the female Ding Zhiqing dormitory.
Seeing his little sister still talking endlessly, Fu Yan Cheng signaled Kong Yizhang to follow, and the two walked towards the car.
They took out the items prepared for the little sister in advance, and also took some tomatoes, cucumbers, melons, and a large watermelon from the vegetables and fruits given by the Liu family.
Kong Yizhang directly picked up that watermelon: "You carry the rest."
Fu Yan Cheng found a mesh bag from the front, stuffed the tomatoes, cucumbers, and melons into it all at once, closed the car door properly, and then carried the things and followed.
Fu Yanwan had just about finished talking by then; seeing the things they carried over: "What a huge watermelon, where did it come from?"
Fu's mother smiled and replied: "This was grown by your fourth sister-in-law's family, it's very sweet."
Fu Yanwan saw the melons and fruits in her fourth brother's hands: "You went there today to propose, so why did you take so many things from them?"
Then she muttered quietly: "You're not afraid they'll have a bad impression of our family and be unwilling to let their daughter marry my fourth brother as a wife."
Except for Fu's mother, the other three had very good hearing and naturally heard her muttering.
Fu Yan Cheng handed the things to her: "Enough, if it's for you, just take it. Don't look at the things as ordinary; you'll understand once you taste them."
Fu Yanwan took the things and heard Fu's mother say: "The things in the bag are prepared for you; there are two cans of malted milk powder inside. Keep one can for yourself, and deliver the other can to your second sister-in-law."
Upon hearing this, Fu Yanwan's fur stood on end: "No way, once it's in my hands, it's mine. Last time you asked them to bring me salted fish, they didn't give it to me either."
