Chapter 844: Chunxiao Gets Beaten

Liu Chuxue stayed in the courtyard compound, playing three full games of chess with Xiao Laoyezi Xiao, before finally departing.

Xiao Laoyezi Xiao had intended for her to stay the night at the compound, but Liu Chuxue, thinking she had to work the next day and worrying about her own heavily pregnant mother, still wanted to return home to sleep.

Worried, Xiao Laoyezi Xiao summoned his orderly: "Go and escort her back."

Liu Chuxue offered no further explanation, simply strode forward in a few steps, and yanked Chunxiao over: "You explain it."

Chunxiao had intended to argue, but seeing her second sister's face darken terrifyingly, she stammered: "Uh, Mom, earlier Second Sister called saying she'd be back later, and I forgot to pass on the message."

Come on, tell us, who do you feel has wronged you, or what exactly is going on, that you resort to these petty, shameful tricks every day?"

Chunxiao had not expected her second sister to discover her little schemes, let alone call them out directly, but what could she say? Could she admit she was jealous of her second sister?

She quickly squeezed out a few cat-like tears: "Second Sister, I just forgot to pass on a message; is there any need for you to say such things?"

This time, Liu Chuxue's face truly turned cold: "Don't play mind games with family, and especially don't use those little tricks on me."

Relying on her mother's presence, Chunxiao retorted: "What mind games did I play? I just didn't pass on a message; so what if I did it on purpose?"

Chunxiao could see her second sister was not joking: "Mom, why don't you control Second Sister? Look how she hit me; my face is all swollen."
