Chapter 854: Why Are You Here?

Liu Chuxue stood up directly: "Sister, the meat processing plant's truck has left the breeding farm; I must go. Remember what I said; if anything happens, have Brother-in-law call me."

Qiu Shaofeng had actually been waiting outside the door; hearing his sister-in-law was leaving, he quickly spoke out: "Chuxue, rest assured, I will take good care of your sister. You focus on your work; if your sister shows any signs, I will call you immediately."

Liu Chuxue knew this brother-in-law, though not particularly capable, truly treated her own sister well; furthermore, now that her family had been recognized by the Xiao family, he certainly dared not neglect her sister: "Alright, in case I don't come over beforehand, the moment my sister goes into labor, you must call and notify me immediately."

Qiu Shaofeng quickly agreed: "Okay."

Liu Chuxue did not dare stay long, after all, there was a troublemaker on the truck: "Sister, then I'm leaving; take care of yourself."

She came out of the house and saw Qiu Tai Nai standing at the main gate: "Tai Nai, it's cold today; it's better for you to stay inside."

Qiu Tai Nai took her hand: "Are you leaving?"

Liu Chuxue nodded: "Yes, I'm catching the ride on the truck coming from the breeding farm to haul live pigs; I just heard the horn honk, I must go out and wait."

Hearing these words, Qiu Tai Nai dared not hold the person back anymore: "I apologize to you regarding today's matter; rest assured, this will not happen again; trust me this once."

Liu Chuxue nodded with a smile: "I trust you; go back inside quickly, I am leaving right now."

She could already hear the rumble of the car; after speaking, she hurriedly ran outside.

Just arriving at the intersection, she saw the car coming this way: luckily she made it early.

The car stopped steadily; as she just climbed aboard, she saw her own brother-in-law rushing over, carrying a small basket in his hand: "Chuxue, take this along; it's homemade, take it back to taste."

Liu Chuxue did not even lift the cloth cover on the basket: "Thank you, Brother-in-law, I'm leaving; you go back quickly too."

The car slowly drove away; only then did Liu Chuxue open it; inside were frozen pears and sticky bean buns, warming her heart.

She slapped her forehead; she had just forgotten to say goodbye to Qiu Mu; presumably, these things should have been prepared by her.

Thinking about what happened today, it seems before her sister gives birth, it would be best to have her cousins come over for a visit, so as to prevent the villagers from always feeling her family has no one to back them up; even with her, the younger sister, present, they wouldn't take it too seriously.

However, she would not mention this matter to her own mother first, to avoid upsetting her while she is pregnant.

When preparing to get off the car, borrowing the basket handed by her brother-in-law, she took out three pears and handed two to Master Dou: "Master Dou, these were picked by my brother-in-law on the mountain; take them back for the children at home to taste."

Speaking, she also handed one to Little Song: "Miss Song, you taste it too."

Although this young lady was somewhat unlikable, she clearly looked like someone raised in luxury by her family; she didn't seem to have any bad intentions; whether she accepts it or not is her own business.

Little Song saw there was a portion for her; a trace of embarrassment flashed across her face, but she still took the pear and awkwardly said a word of 'Thank you'.

Liu Chuxue smiled and got off the car: "Thank you, Master Dou; drive slowly."

When bidding farewell to Master Dou and walking home, she unexpectedly saw Duan Ruirui at the alley entrance: "Why are you here?"

Duan Ruirui heard Liu Chuxue's voice: "Oh my, I was just preparing to go to your house to find you."

Duan Ruirui's face was wrapped tightly, so her expression could not be seen: "What happened?"

Hearing the question, she coughed lightly: "Um, your cousins' family is going to discuss the wedding date with my family at the State-run Hotel tonight; can you accompany me for a trip?"
