Chapter 20: Chapter Nineteen: Memories and No More Fighting

~9 min read 1,611 words

At four in the morning, Su Qing just opened his eyes and saw Selinna wrapped in a towel walking out of the bathroom, sitting at the vanity to fix her hair.

Eight hours earlier, after disposing of the corpses and covering their tracks, the two returned to the hotel.

Su Qing closed the door, then claimed he needed a big hug to heal the great physical and mental trauma from fighting the werewolf, and after coaxing Selinna, they underwent a physiological therapy.

How to put it!

The physiological therapy worked like a charm.

Before finishing a single session, Su Qing's injuries were completely healed; now he can walk ten li on the ground without panting.

While fixing her hair, Selinna saw Su Qing's refreshed look in the vanity mirror, couldn't help turning and saying impatiently, "Hurry up and get ready; we're leaving right away."

As she turned, her large motion caused the towel on her chest to jiggle twice like something frozen, very titillating.

Su Qing watched the whole thing, recalling a movie review he'd seen; if he could return to his original world, he would angrily tell those who called Selinna flat-chested: "You know nothing!"

Su Qing has seen it, played with it, and even eaten it.

I can say responsibly that Selinna is definitely not an A but a C.

Women, after all, cannot change their innate bodily structure.

In daily life it doesn't matter much, but on the battlefield it becomes a big problem.

A little carelessness would hinder her, so for convenience in hunting werewolves, Selinna almost always wraps her chest with cloth, leading others to mistake her for an airport.

Actually, she is not only well-endowed but also very firm.

More importantly, Selinna has a slim waist, and with that pair of ample fruits, she perfectly matches the legendary term "slim branch bearing abundant fruit."

Such a legendary sight—if it weren't for needing to leave tonight, Su Qing couldn't possibly stop admiring it.

Is this lust?

No!

It's just that the flowers are in full bloom; if he doesn't repeatedly appreciate them, it shows he doesn't understand romance.

Su Qing thus walked naked from the bed toward the bathroom, and as he passed Selinna she threw a pair of colored balls at him.

"Click!"

He closed the bathroom door and stepped under the showerhead.

Su Qing turned on the cold tap; icy water poured down, instantly soaking his medium-length hair and extinguishing the ardent desire in his heart, calming his active mind.

"Damn."

"Does this count as a petty person achieving his ambitions?"

Su Qing wiped water from his face, lifted his head, closed his eyes, and let the stream strike his face—cool to the bone, very refreshing.

Now thinking it over, going to Mount Hua was indeed the right choice.

Not only did he turn misfortune into fortune, obtain a golden finger, cure his cancer, but also end up with a woman like Selinna, making the transmigration worthwhile.

He was originally an ordinary college student from the countryside—average school, major, grades, and luck with women—but decent-looking; yet he ultimately couldn't escape a curse, and even after college he never found a girlfriend.

After graduating, he was immediately unemployed.

He had no choice but to bring his virginity into society's big dye vat, becoming an honest drudge; after years of such life, not only were his edges smoothed, but his vigor was worn away.

His hope for the future was simply to marry in his lifetime, preferably a young, beautiful wife.

But life is unpredictable—like intestines wrapping intestines.

For some reasons, his demands gradually dropped year by year, eventually approaching: female, alive.

If luck struck and he became an honest man who married a widow, he'd skip the middle steps and a few months later would joyfully have a son or daughter, etc.

That would truly be a one-step solution.

Where else could one hold the moon goddess, gain extraordinary powers, and embark on the path to longevity as now?

Speaking of which, in less than a month he directly realized the ultimate dream of countless cultivators.

Thinking about it, he really feels a little excited.

But he feels a bit sorry to his parents, who raised him with great effort, training his account to perfection, only to have it suddenly deleted.

Fortunately, there's still a low-level alt developing in the wilds at home; little brother, I'm basically done, so from now on the family will rely on you.

You must strive; don't follow your older brother's life as a drudge, ending with neither person nor wealth.

Speaking of which, remember when I first entered society, a school senior seduced me into buying accident insurance, and I don't know if it covers falling off a cliff.

If it does, the family could at least get 500,000 in compensation…

As he thought, the water stopped.

Su Qing opened his eyes to see Selinna, fully dressed, standing beside him looking at him with concern: "Is your injury still not healed?"

Her tone was very gentle.

Su Qing shook his head, smiling: "It's fine, just lost in thought."

There was nothing else to think about; Su Qing quickly put on his clothes and left the hotel with Selinna.

On the way back after slaying the werewolf, they had already discussed leaving Dayingguo tonight under cover of darkness.

It's not fear of werewolf retaliation, since Su Qing is no longer what he used to be.

After the werewolf battle, his combat experience, though not much gained, still qualifies as minor fighting strength if careful; paired with Selinna the death walker, wiping out those six werewolves is no problem.

But Selinna is eager for revenge and has no time to play with werewolves.

So the best plan is to leave this place of right and wrong quickly.

As for this revenge?

Naturally it's to kill Weikeduo to avenge Selinna's family.

Last night, pulling an all-nighter, Su Qing wasn't just working with his kidneys; he didn't stop talking either, recounting all of Weikeduo's past misdeeds.

Therefore.

Selinna finally understood why Weikeduo killed her family and why he adopted her.

As for why she trusts Su Qing's words?

Then we need to talk about last night.

When Su Qing bluntly said "I have no regrets," Selinna already trusted him eighty percent.

The ensuing all-night brawl was purely a result of heightened emotions and atmosphere—there was no way around it.

Now they're sharing a bed; they've done everything they should—and everything they shouldn't have.

The remaining two tenths were naturally made up by Su Qing through special means.

Selinna now trusts Su Qing utterly; she's lost the cool aloofness of their first meeting and looks like an ordinary girl head over heels in love.

…………

By 4 a. m., Dover Port was already bustling.

Being close to the European mainland with convenient transport, it's a major hub for Dayingguo—even at night you can see many ships entering and leaving the port.

Su Qing and Selinna changed into plain clothes, put on a simple disguise, and mingled with the early-morning workers, thus not drawing much attention.

After walking with the crowd for a bit, they reached the docking area.

Su Qing stared at the ships at the berth, his vision swimming, and turned to Selinna: "What do we do next?"

Selinna had last entered Dayingguo from here; she isn't utterly familiar, but she knows her way around.

"We'll sneak over and find a chance to board that ship."

Selinia stared off for a moment, then pointed to a steel ship emblazoned with 'Ocean Goddess' and said: "I was on this ship last time."

"That's perfect." Su Qing rubbed his chin and muttered, "Damn it."

They said they'd do it and did at once, slipping carefully through the crowd into the shadows as they stealthily approached the ship.

Being vampires, their reflexes are inhumanly swift.

The infiltration went off without a hitch, and they boarded the ship smoothly.

"All right, now we just wait for the ship to depart."

Su Qing brushed dust from his hands, leaned against the rail, stared at the dark horizon, and turned to Selinna with a smile.

"Your wound's just healed; rest a moment." Selinna gently brushed the dust from Su Qing.

"No need, you rest—I'll keep watch."

"I..."

"You just exerted yourself..." Su Qing cut her off with a light chuckle.

"You." Selinna instantly got his meaning, her cheeks flushing as she turned away from Su Qing.

But Su Qing was shameless; a few moves and he had Selinna in his arms.

But just as they were flirting, a posse of pursuers showed up at Dover Port.

The dwarf among the six werewolves sniffed, closed his eyes, and shook his head: "Too many people, scents all mixed—I can't lock onto a spot, but it's roughly that way."

He then pointed toward the Ocean Goddess.

"Weixi's sense of smell is the best among us, and even he can't tell—so we're stuck." The slim woman spread her hands helplessly.

"How about we split up and search that direction?"

"That Blood Clan woman is dangerous; if we encounter her while split, we'd likely die."

"You scared?"

"Bo Te, you're the one who's scared shitless."

"Come on, let's fight."

"Come on, who's afraid of who..."

"..."

Werewolves are hotheads by nature—just a few disagreeable words and their tempers flare, ready to fight right away.

The dwarf nearby felt immensely relieved; thankfully his werewolf blood is diluted, so he hasn't been overly affected—otherwise he'd be as dumb and hot-tempered as these idiots.

Still, some things are best left unsaid; now he has to yell, trying to stop the fight: "Don't fight, don't fight—please, no more fighting..."
