Chapter 70: Diana
At the beginning of creation, the God King Zeus created upright and kind humans.
This act, however, aroused the jealousy of his son, the war god Ares, who in his view saw humanity as pests of this world that must be utterly destroyed.
Thus, he corrupted humanity's hearts with jealousy and suspicion, causing humans to begin slaughtering each other, and war ravaged the land.
To quell this turmoil, the gods created the Amazons and had them use love to influence humanity, restoring peace to the world.
But the good times did not last; Ares soon deceived humanity, causing humans to enslave the Amazons.
Afterward, under the leadership of Diana's mother, Hippolyta, the Amazons launched an uprising, resisting human enslavement.
At the same time, Zeus also dispatched the gods to help them.
But the gods who came to the mortal world were a bunch of nobodies; Ares, buffed to the max, single-handedly took them all out.
Seeing this, the angry Zeus had no choice but to step in himself, and only by exhausting all his divine power could he barely repel Ares.
But he knew this rebellious son would sooner or later make a comeback and take revenge.
Thus, to protect the Amazons, Zeus created Paradise Island, set up a Barrier, isolating it from the world, and left them a powerful god-slaying weapon.
And this god-slaying weapon is actually the illegitimate daughter born from Zeus's union with the Amazon Queen, Diana.
Well, that's her right here in front of us.
Seeing Diana standing one meter away, examining him like a curious baby, Su Qing couldn't help but tease: "Aren't we both just two noses and one mouth? What's there to look at?"
"Are you a man?" Diana asked curiously, staring with her pure eyes.
Su Qing nodded affirmatively and admitted: "Of course I'm a man."
Hearing his reply, Diana felt both excited and thrilled; this was the first time in her life she had seen a man.
Thus, unable to resist, she stepped forward and reached out her hand to Su Qing, wanting to feel what a man's hand was like.
Su Qing watched without stopping, instead staring at Diana and examining her bloodline abilities.
Four or five seconds later, a familiar information panel appeared: Zeus half‑god bloodline, God‑Eater divinity (unawakened), Amazon bloodline, Martial Arts (Master)……
As expected, the first entry was Zeus's bloodline; befitting a God King, the bloodline even contains the character 'god' in the middle, and although there is a 'half' prefix, its prestige is still far above that of perfect source blood.
Moreover, the God‑Eater divinity remains unawakened, which is also as expected.
I recall that during World War I, Diana unintentionally triggered the divinity in a sparring match with her teacher, initially awakening it, after which she could strike her wrist guards together to release an energy blast, and also gained stronger dynamic vision, movement speed, and strength.
Calculating the time, World War I began in July 1914.
Now it is only December 1912, leaving one year and seven months.
Suddenly, a strange feeling interrupted his thoughts.
Su Qing lowered his gaze and saw that Diana had already come up close, her hand placed on his chest, moving back and forth as if wondering why his chest was so flat while her own pectorals were so developed.
Su Qing was somewhat speechless; this era's Diana is truly too innocent and too bold.
Thus he couldn't help but ask: "Hey, have you felt enough?"
"Ah! What?" Diana jumped, looking up instinctively and asking.
Then she realized the man before her was looking at her with a strange gaze.
At that moment she came to her senses, her face flushed, she quickly withdrew her hand and hurriedly changed the subject, asking: "What's your name? Where are you from? Why did you come to Paradise Island? What is the outside world like?"
Faced with Diana's myriad questions, Su Qing did not answer right away; instead, he tidied his clothes and tossed out: "Wait! I need to take care of my boat."
Thereafter, under Diana's gaze and suggestion, he pulled the lifeboat ashore and hid it in a cave.
After taking care of everything, Su Qing then picked a coconut, sipping its juice while answering Diana's questions.
Listening to his account, Diana's curiosity was piqued; she pulled Su Qing, urging him to tell more about the outside world.
Faced with the curious Diana, Su Qing also did not refuse to continue his narration.
That day, they talked for a long, long time.
They also deeply remembered each other's names; at that moment, the gears of fate began to tightly bind them together.
The next day, to express gratitude and continue hearing novel things, Diana brought some fruit, intending to go to the seaside to find Su Qing.
When she arrived at the cave where Su Qing was temporarily staying, she was astonished by what she saw.
She saw that the originally dark, damp cave had now been cleaned very tidily, with several stone chairs and a table added, and even a stone-made pot.
At that moment, Su Qing was squatting by the campfire, holding a wooden spoon, stirring a milky liquid in the stone pot.
Before she even approached, Diana smelled a fresh milky fragrance.
Su Qing, who had been concentrating on making coconut milk, heard footsteps, turned his head, saw that the visitor was Diana, and smiled, saying: "You came at just the right time."
While speaking, he scooped several spoonfuls of coconut milk into a coconut shell he held and handed it over.
"Try the taste!"
"Good."
Diana curiously took it, lightly sipped a mouthful, found the taste unexpectedly good, and couldn't help but drink a few more sips.
Seeing her demeanor, Su Qing smiled, poured himself a coconut shell of the milk, and began to savor it slowly.
In this coconut milk, he added ground coconut flesh and also the milk he had borrowed yesterday from Amazon City; it was truly hard to come by!
Having properly treated his stomach, Su Qing, upon learning Diana's purpose, did not refuse to resume his narration.
Meanwhile, Diana moved a chair to sit aside, facing the morning sunshine, enjoying the cool sea breeze, drinking the warming coconut milk, quietly watching Su Qing and listening to his talk.
As an Amazon princess who had lived on Paradise Island and never encountered the human world, Diana felt for the first time that life could be this wonderful.
She listened with full concentration, and the new world made her forget time.
Until the sun set behind the mountains, Su Qing reminded her, and only then did she realize, rushing out in a hurry.
But just as she reached the cave entrance, Diana stopped, turned, and asked eagerly: "Can I come see you again tomorrow?"
"Of course, you can come anytime." Su Qing gave a light smile and nodded.
"Good, then it's settled." Diana's face lit up, she waved and ran off happily.
Su Qing stood at the cave mouth watching her retreating figure until he could no longer see her, then he returned to the cave, slumped into the chair, and complained:
Heaven's secret, Heaven's secret, ah, how...
The ten-meter range limit of the Golden Finger is very inconvenient for him to download Zeus's bloodline; once Diana leaves, the download mission will fail.
Yesterday and today he kept thinking of ways to solve this problem.
But the Amazons are numerous and mighty, each brave and skilled in battle; he couldn't think of a good solution for a while.
Having experienced the dark era of human enslavement, the Amazon tribe harbors great hatred toward humans; if I were discovered, there would certainly be nothing good to eat.
Forget it, we can only make the best of it.
Shaking his head, Su Qing walked out of the cave, preparing to go out to sea to catch a fish for dinner.
However, what he didn't expect was that early the next morning Diana came and, as a side note, brought a group of uninvited guests.
"Teacher, you're following me." Diana said angrily to the female general on horseback.
"Diana, I didn't expect you to also deceive me." Antiepo stared fixedly at Su Qing, saying through gritted teeth.
"I..." Diana was at a loss for words, turned her head and apologized to Su Qing: "Sorry!"
Su Qing laughed and shook his head, secretly sighing that as expected of a general, he had noticed Diana's change in just two days and even followed the clues to find this place.
Can only say that old ginger is still spicy.
