Chapter 2473: Reflections
Reflections
The Mortal book has finally ended.
When I stopped writing after the last word, I felt both a sense of great relief and a sense of reluctance and emptiness in my heart.
I believe many readers who have followed along have similar feelings about this rather complex mood.
This is my first time writing a post-completion reflection, but I believe it will definitely not be the last.
I checked the records for Mortal;
First upload time: February 20, 2008
First time on shelves: August 1, 2008
Completion time: September 23, 2013
This book lasted five years and seven months in total, with a total word count of over seven million. Although it cannot be compared with some other monstrous authors on the website, it is indeed a novel that contains a great deal of heart and blood.
The conception of the Mortal book alone took nearly three years.
When I started writing, I also hesitated for a long time before finally deciding to step into the ranks of writers.
After all, as a first-time novelist, I cannot compare with some old authors who have written several books, and I encountered many difficulties and interference when I started creating.
Not to mention anything else, just the most basic task of typing on a computer almost scared me away back then.
Because before writing Mortal, I only knew some of the most basic computer operations and had never really typed before. I had always used the "one-finger Zen" method on the keyboard.
I remember when I typed the first chapter, it was only two thousand words, and the content was already well-rehearsed in my mind, but it took a full four hours.
But when I finished this chapter, I had a sense of achievement I had never had before.
This feeling is also one of the reasons that supported me to continue.
However, the motivation that truly kept me typing Mortal to completion day after day and night after night was the love and esteem of the many loyal Mortal readers for this book.
Five years of not giving up is enough for many readers to have formed a deep bond with Mortal, and it also allowed me to get to know many enthusiastic friends.
Here, I express my sincere thanks and gratitude to these readers and book friends again!
I believe this happy feeling of being recognized and acknowledged by others is what all authors desire most.
Compared with the original outline, the completed Mortal has added many things, but also reduced some elements and content.
These elements are what I think are unnecessary to appear in Mortal, and I am preparing to use them to set up another immortal cultivation world in the new book.
The name of the new book is announced here directly: "Demon Heaven Record," and it is planned to be uploaded in November.
This book has also been conceived for quite a while. Although I haven't started writing it yet, I believe it is also a very exciting novel, and I hope everyone will like it just as much when the time comes.
Hehe, I will also type out some stock during the month-long rest period so that everyone can read enough at once!
Alright, the reflections end here!
The next time I meet everyone, it should be in the book "Demon Heaven Record."
I wish everyone good health and a happy life! (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote for it; your support is my greatest motivation.)
