Chapter 169: Harvest

Medicinal Garden No. 11.

Gao De came to the medicinal field he claimed.

This medicinal field, which he had carefully cared for, had changed greatly from the beginning.

Looking up, yellow and purple flower buds were mixed in the lush green medicinal seedlings.

The medicinal field specifically opened by the academy, through the magic array and magic user operation regulation, and regularly supplying magic crystals to nourish the medicinal field, makes every inch of land in the medicinal field contain extremely rich magic power.

And under the supply of enough magic power, although it was only a month and a half since sowing, both the zero-rank magical plant Taro Fruit and the first-rank magical plant Thorn Fruit had flower buds now.

The branches of the Thorn Fruit medicinal seedlings were covered with dense sharp thorns.

The quality of Thorn Fruit can be predicted by the growth of the sharp thorns on the branches.

Obviously, these Thorn Fruit magical plants were growing very gratifyingly under Gao De's careful care.

Thirty Taro Fruit seeds and ten Thorn Fruit seeds all germinated, and not a single one was a dead seed.

Following this situation, it was obviously not a big problem for this "Magical Plant Cultivation" course to get a full score.

Gao De nodded with satisfaction, and at the same time, sprinkled different amounts of the medicinal liquid he had prepared according to the different varieties and growth of the medicinal seedlings.

He was happy in his heart.

It was not because of the good grades he was about to achieve—in fact, whether it was his previous life or this life, Gao De had become a bit numb to achieving good grades.

At this moment, a week had passed since his three course assessments all ended with full marks.

At the beginning of the Ice-Sealed Month, Cyrus Academy was stirred up by his sixteen courses.

At the beginning of the Winter Solstice Month, it was because his three full marks caused a small sensation.

The attendance rate of these three courses is among the best in the academy.

It can be said that more than 90% of the students in the academy have at least chosen one of the courses and participated in the assessment of one of the courses.

Only after experiencing it will you understand.

Therefore, almost every student can understand how difficult it is to get full marks in the course completion assessment of these three courses.

Some people admire, some are shocked, some are jealous... all kinds of emotions can be summarized in five words:

"Is this still a human?"

For Gao De, who was the person involved, he was the calmest.

In the world of "top students," in fact, often when "answering questions," they basically know their grades.

Three full marks, a little unexpected, but basically within Gao De's own prediction range.

So he was very calm after knowing the grades.

Three courses gone, there are still thirteen courses.

Credits have only accumulated to 15 points, and have not yet caught up to Yilan's starting line.

The revolution has not yet succeeded, and comrades still need to continue to work hard.

Gao De is still very busy, has no extra mind to show off, and there is nothing to show off.

This world is ultimately the world of magic users.

Cyrus Academy is also a magic user academy.

Therefore, the magic user level is the foundation of everything.

With this foundation, other things have added value.

Gao De sees it very clearly.

Just like why he is happy now, it is entirely because two-tenths of the harvest will belong to him after these medicinal materials mature.

This is a very reasonable price; after all, for the growth of magical plants, the most important medicinal field and seeds are provided by the academy.

What Gao De pays is his own labor and the preparation cost of some culture solutions.

And these two-tenths of the harvest, whether it is for his own use or sold to the academy, is fine.

The harvest of one first-rank magical plant in one period is worth about 12-15 gold in this range.

In the case of the most ideal harvest, the price given by the academy for Thorn Fruit can reach 15 gold.

Two-tenths is 3 gold.

Ten Thorn Fruits can bring Gao De an income of 30 gold.

Taro Fruit is a zero-rank magical plant, and the acquisition price given by the academy is only 3 gold, and two-tenths is 12 silver.

30 Taro Fruits, that is 360 silver. Adding the two magical plants together, it can bring Gao De an income of 48 gold.

Configuring the culture solution costs about 15 gold, and after deducting this part of the expenditure, there is still an income of 33 gold.

Two and a half months, which is the time when it was busy at the beginning of sowing and germination.

For the rest of the time, it is killing insects, watering, and fertilizing, and the average time spent every day is less than one hour.

Such labor intensity can bring 2 credits and an income of 33 gold.

Gao De still feels that this is very cost-effective.

It's a pity that the academy's medicinal field is the academy's asset, and unless it is a special situation like a course completion assessment, it is generally not contracted to students.

Otherwise, Gao De would have to be a local farmer at Cyrus Academy and contract a large area of medicinal fields.

If you can become the chief student of the Alchemy Department, as a benefit, you can claim a medicinal field from the academy every year.

Even because the growth of magical plants has extremely high requirements for magic power and fertility, the planting density is relatively low.

But with a medicinal field under the academy standard, you can also plant about fifty first-rank magical plants.

How much money can you earn in this academic year... Thinking of Shadi, the chief student of the Alchemy Department, who is likely also a local tyrant, Gao De felt a bit envious.

Should I choose "Pharmacology" next academic year? Subconsciously, Gao De began to ponder.

The Winter Solstice Month passed in a flash.

During this period, on the 20th, the Apprentice Guidance Method he cultivated ushered in another breakthrough after 53 days, and his total magic power officially reached the level of 12 cantrips.

And by the end of the month, the "Magical Plant Cultivation" course also ushered in the course completion assessment.

30 Taro Fruits in good condition and 10 Thorn Fruits made Gao De get another full score without any accident, and his credits reached 17 points.

And the full score of this course, which focuses on practical operation, also made the argument that "Gao De is only good at theoretical knowledge" that had been circulating for a while break down.

After the assessment scoring ended, the magical plants in the medicinal field were ready for harvest.

The step of harvesting and collecting is carried out by the Alchemy Department sending people.

It is both helping and preventing students from privately hiding part of the harvest.

"You wouldn't be farming in the countryside before, would you?" On the side of the medicinal field, Shadi, who was sent to be responsible for the acceptance of the harvest, said with emotion and ridicule.

Another month passed, and the Taro Fruit and Thorn Fruit that had completely matured in the medicinal field hung on the branches, hanging down naturally, full and tempting.

"Just a simple interest and talent in planting." Gao De said modestly.

His predecessor worked in the medicine garden for a long time. Although what he planted was not magical plants, but ordinary herbs, it was considered the same track as magical plant cultivation, and there were many common places.

Plus his theoretical knowledge is becoming more and more solid now, and he is very attentive to these magical plants on weekdays, so it is reasonable to have this harvest.

"You got a full score in "Magical Plant Cultivation," although I was also a full score in this course at the beginning... but you were also a full score in "General Knowledge of Medicinal Materials," this is Instructor Joseph's class, even if it was me, my grade was just over eighty at the beginning..."

"You should have entered our Alchemy Department!" Shadi sighed.

Although Gao De did have this thought, he finally felt that the Rune Department was more suitable for himself, so he had dismissed this idea.

Now facing Shadi's sigh, he just smiled and said: "This is just a branch of Pharmacology, it doesn't mean I can learn Pharmacology well."

"That's true." Shadi raised her eyebrows. Pharmacology also requires a certain talent to learn well.

As the chief student of the Alchemy Department, she is undoubtedly the person with a certain talent, and she is still a bit proud of this.

While talking, the Alchemy Department student responsible for Gao De's medicinal field had completed the harvesting and weighing work and reported the final result.

"Thorn Fruit harvested a total of 9 pounds and 8 ounces... you get two-tenths, I can make the decision to count it as 2 pounds, Taro Fruit harvested a total of 34 pounds and 3 ounces, count it as 7 pounds." Shadi looked at the harvest numbers reported by the student and calculated for Gao De.

She added a little bit of change to Gao De to make up a whole number, which can be considered as providing Gao De with a little small benefit.

Although it is not much, it just makes people feel very comfortable.

"According to this year's price, the acquisition price of Thorn Fruit is 15 gold per pound, and the acquisition price of Taro Fruit is

"Do you want to keep your share, or sell it to the academy?"

"Sell it to the academy." Gao De did some mental math; the final profit was almost exactly what he had estimated, and the extra 3 gold was mostly due to Shadi rounding up the total for him.

Gao De's decision did not surprise Shadi.

She nodded, took out a settlement sheet already stamped with the Potion Department's seal, and filled in the specific details and her own name.

She then handed it to Gao De, and after he signed his name and pressed his thumbprint on the sheet, she took out a money bag and counted out 51 gold coins to settle the payment with him.
