Chapter 66: Launch Announcement! (Going live tomorrow at noon)

~5 min read 816 words

It goes live tomorrow at noon!

It's here, it's here—the "going live" that every book must go through is here. I remember the last time I went live was just the last time.

I want to thank my boss, Midsummer, for constantly urging me to start a new book since last year, using all sorts of temptations and saying how many people have taken off. Finally, I couldn't resist and started the book. I highly recommend Midsummer; he talks a lot, is easy to chat with, and easy to push over... wait, not that last part.

And now, let me answer the questions everyone is concerned about.

First is the update schedule that everyone cares about most. During the new book period, I was roasted by countless readers, calling me, Jiu Jian, a big water-poster who updates extremely slowly, and saying they wanted to delete the book and let it sit for a year before reading. I, Jiu Jian, begged desperately and finally managed to get everyone to keep reading so I could make it to the Sanjiang list. Actually, I, Jiu Jian, also know that this kind of book is truly best read in one go; if you stop in the middle, you'll want to kill someone. So, regarding the launch: after it goes live tomorrow at noon, I will start with ten chapters. Brothers who drink soda, get your soda ready. The specific rules for bonus chapters are as follows:

Just like other books, one thousand initial subscriptions equals one bonus chapter, with no upper limit.

A League Leader or cumulative League Leaders equals three bonus chapters. There definitely won't be a Silver League Leader, but if there really is, I'll name a number: fifty chapters. I won't even dream about a Gold League Leader; if that really happens, just don't treat me like a human being anymore. That's that.

Bonus chapters for monthly votes will be calculated starting from the number of monthly votes at the time of launch. Every two hundred additional votes equals one bonus chapter, with no upper limit. I'll have the operations team calculate it and let me know when the time comes.

Second is the issue of copycats. During the new book period, after I got on the new book list, many readers said this book would be copied to death by a Self-Media Studio, since I'm slow. I didn't take it seriously at first, but now people are already asking if I'm the one plagiarizing... I can only say, go check the publication date. I published this book on February 14th, and I was the first to write this subject matter. The reason the word count isn't high right now is because I'm slow... emmm, but it's fine, it will speed up once it goes live. I, Jiu Jian, have been a failure for many years and have gone a while without writing, but since I'm here, I'm going to fight for it!

Third is the issue of the plot in the book. Actually, as everyone has read along to this point, many readers who are in the system or related industries have commented that this book has loopholes in many procedural logics and the details don't hold up to scrutiny, but they still find it very satisfying to read. I, Jiu Jian, have actually been constantly modifying the loopholes based on comments, and the book is positioned as a "satisfying read"—it can turn some unpleasant things in life into something satisfying, making everyone happy while reading. That is the goal.

I, Jiu Jian, am reading everyone's comments, and I try to reply to as many as I can...

Lastly, I'm asking for initial subscriptions. Often, the initial subscription determines the fate of a book. It is your support that has brought this book to where it is now, and now, I still need everyone to continue supporting it. What I, Jiu Jian, need to do is write better stories. I understand that students don't have money; I, Lao Jiu, have also been a veteran bookworm for over ten years and have come from that era myself. If you really don't have the ability to subscribe to everything, then I, Jiu Jian, don't ask for much—just give me an initial subscription, and you can read the rest as you please. There's no need to talk about the price of a pack of cigarettes or anything like that; everyone reads many books at once, which is actually expensive. I, Jiu Jian, am not writing full-time, and I'm not selling misery. In short, just do what you can.

I will be giving out some red envelopes in the reader group; those interested can join. Anyway, it all depends on the mood of you, my dear audience.

I won't say any more unnecessary words. After tomorrow, everyone will be able to see the speed of Jiu Jian!
