Chapter 55

All of this is my imagination, or my speculation.

I can't state it plainly, nor can I ask.

Kong Shi

When everyone reaches this point, they like to beat around the bush in speech.

none.

I still have to thank them; how could I doubt them?

What should I do next, I look at the torn pieces of paper at my feet,

I can't pick them up one by one, reassemble them, and personally send them up.

I've already refused this matter, so don't think about it.

Kong Shi

He

none.

Group Company

Zaocheng Bank

none.

Faking this through is truly a high difficulty.

none.

Manager Qi, Group Company

Director Feng

This Qi isn't a good person either; I also want to fire him, but can't find a reason.

Can we do something with him?

none.

Provincial Capital

These whistleblowing documents need someone to go in my place,

Right, let Qi go in my place.

none.

Xiao Long

After Xiao Long came in and saw the floor covered with shredded paper, he asked me, "Sir, why are these papers torn."

I said, "No need, just clean it up, then find a few sheets of blank paper and a file folder. Seal it well."

Xiao Long did as I said and quickly prepared a sealed file folder.

I looked at the sealed file folder and said to Xiao Long, "Go find Uncle Xiao Hua, in an hour have him arrange for Qi to come to my office. I have business with him."

Xiao Long replied, "Okay, I'll go find Uncle Xiao Hua right away."

Xiao Long

Xiao Wu

Xiao Wu

Xiao Wu, Jianqiang, Zaocheng, Provincial Capital

I said, "I truly miss you, and there's another matter that needs you to handle."

Xiao Wu

"You don't know anyone who can do a two‑handed grip, I want him to help me steal something," I said.

Xiao Wu said, "I know, there are plenty of such friends. What kind do you need, one who cracks safes, or one who breaks into houses?"

"None of those are needed, just an ordinary thief will do. I have a file folder here, and later I'll hand it to Qi of our Group Company,"

Manager Qi, Provincial Capital

"you arrange for someone on the road to steal the file folder, that's all."

Xiao Wu asked, "Your file folder, your people take it to the Provincial Capital, then you have me arrange for someone to steal it—what's this for? I don't understand."

I asked, "You don't need to understand; you just need to get the file folder in hand before Qi arrives at the Provincial Capital. Then hand it to me. The mission will be complete. Tell me, can you accomplish it?"

Xiao Wu said, "Jianqiang, this is child's play for me. Just tell me what Qi looks like, what car he drives, and what time he departs; the rest is up to me. We agreed, I can't let my subordinates work in vain, you must shed some blood."

"Ten thousand yuan, okay. Deduct it directly from the hotel profit share. If you ask for too much, I'll have Shi Yong do it," I said with a smile.

"Ten thousand is ten thousand; you're being stingy, even the big chairman is still calculating. I promised you," Xiao Wu said with a smile.

"Alright, Xiao Wu, actually five thousand will do; ten thousand was extra. Later you contact Shi Yong, and Shi Yong will tell Qi the details—what time he departs, what car he drives, what he looks like," I said.

Xiao Wu said, "Okay, Jianqiang, that's what we'll say."

After hanging up Xiao Wu's call, I called Shi Yong again and asked him to come to my office.

Shi Yong

I said to Shi Yong, "In a moment, I will arrange for Qi to go to the Provincial Capital. You arrange a car for Qi, set his departure time, tell me what vehicle he takes, what Qi looks like, and let Xiao Wu know."

Shi Yong was startled for a moment, then whispered, "Brother, are you having someone ambush Qi on the road and cripple him?"

Shi Yong

"Brother, it can only be understood, not spoken."

Shi Yong laughed happily, "Alright, brother, I won't pry. That kid, huh, relying on someone behind him, is running amok in the company."

"Shi Yong, say less. At present we speak less and act more," I said to Shi Yong.

Shi Yong

Brother, you're right, talk less, do more, and get all the things that have piled up over the years done.

Damn it, none of them can get away.

Shi Yong gritted his teeth and cursed, then walked out. It seems he has suffered quite a bit of bullying from them over the years.

An hour later,

Someone knocked on the door,

I shouted from inside the room, "Come in."

Qi pushed the door open and came in.

Qi was not tall, somewhat overweight, well-groomed, with a fair face and neatly combed hair.

Like a noble living in luxury.

He saw me and immediately gave a flirtatious smile.

"Chairman, I don't know what business you have with me."

I waved at him, gesturing for him to come sit by me.

He hurried over and sat down beside me.

I looked closely at Qi, my eyes full of admiration.

I said softly, "In the whole Group Company, only you handle things steadily; you're the one I trust most."

Qi immediately replied, "Thank you, Chairman, for the praise."

"Qi, I originally wanted Director Feng to handle some personal matters for me, but Director Feng ran into trouble, as you know."

Qi directly cursed, "Director Feng, you little bastard, you've really embarrassed the company—actually going to Shanghu to do that kind of thing. You say Zaocheng can't handle him anymore. If I saw him, I'd really want to slap him hard."

I waved my hand, telling Qi not to keep cursing Director Feng.

Then I took out a cigarette and asked, "Want a smoke, Qi?"

Qi shook his head.

"Chairman, I never smoke. Just tell me what you need."

I lit a cigarette and took a puff.

I sighed and said, "There are too few usable people in the company. Qi, work well at the company and your future will be bright. Your uncle-in-law Kong Shi came to see me a few days ago and spoke about you."

"I also need to thank the Chairman for his support. Don't worry, I will work hard for the Chairman." Qi said, standing up.

At this moment I took out a file folder.

Then I handed it to Qi.

"This contains something very important; you need to deliver it to 457 Shun Plow Road, Provincial Capital. I was going to go myself, but my leg is injured and I can't travel by vehicle."

"Having someone else go, I still wouldn't feel at ease."

"Because the contents are too important,"

"Besides, this is the task your uncle-in-law Kong Shi entrusted to me,"

After thinking it over, I feel that entrusting it to you is the most suitable.

"In a moment, find Shi Yong and ask the company for a vehicle, then complete this task."
