Chapter 570: Give Ding Li Courage

After Xiao Feng walked away, Ding Li and I walked slowly behind.

I took out a cigarette and handed it to Ding Li.

Ding Li put down his bag and took it,

"Zhao Ge, I'm really worried. I'm afraid I'll manage this mine poorly. Sorry for your trust in me."

"Ding Li, don't worry, I believe in you.

"I haven't finished what I was saying,

"A qualified manager,

"As long as you do the following, it will be enough,

"One is to be meticulous, the heart finer than a strand of hair, be good at capturing the minute changes in work, and foresee possible situations.

"And do preventive work.

"In this, you can communicate more with ordinary workers, definitely make friends with ordinary workers, and through them understand the front-line production situation,

"Don't sit in the office listening to reports from mid-level management staff. They only report good things.

"Management should comprehensively consider the actual situation in production and make up for some loopholes in production.

"Second, be ruthless; for workers or mid-level managers who violate production regulations, punishment must be strict.

"Orders must be carried out, otherwise it will affect your prestige.

"Our coal enterprise, our biggest work problem is coal mine accidents; minor ones cause personal injury or death, major ones could destroy the entire mine.

"The ruthlessness I speak of means in management, whoever violates safety production regulations will be fired outright.

"In this regard, Mine Director Chen has done well. He's also older; you can next let Mine Director Chen specialize as a safety production administrator."

Ding Li kept nodding his head at this time.

I then said.

"Besides the above, your magnanimity should also be greater.

"What does being magnanimous mean? In management, don't constantly calculate personal gains and losses.

"A person who is too calculating about personal gains and losses is not a good manager. Also, one must bravely take responsibility; when something happens at the mine, bravely step up, take the responsibility you should, and let workers see you are a responsible person.

"At the same time, give workers more money; how to give, how to reward, you figure it out yourself.

"As long as the money is paid in place, workers' enthusiasm will increase.

"You just manage the mine's production; coal sales are not your concern, as long as we produce coal here.

"The Zaocheng Mining Group over there can sign a contract with us, and it will be a long-term cooperation.

"So, you don't need to worry about money.

"Ding Li, I have high hopes for you; manage the Qi He Coal Mine well, don't let me worry about anything."

Ding Li immediately said: "Zhao Ge, just relax; I'll do everything you said today. These days I haven't been idle; I've been down the well. I feel that to be a qualified manager, I must be familiar with underground production. I'll first get familiar.

I had multiple exchanges with Mine Director Chen, who gave me many suggestions.

I'm considering how to implement these suggestions; I'll report to you.

I waved my hand,

"Ding Li, don't report to me. I don't want to micromanage; you consider these suggestions yourself, implement what you think is right, and ignore what you think is wrong.

"Zhao Ge, Zhao Jie also went down the well." Ding Li said.

"Letting him go down the well is right; otherwise you can't change the young master's bad habits. If you want people not to know him, just change him from the heart. As for him, don't ask about it; let him spend some time down the well first, then talk.

"After a while, promote him a bit.

Ding Li nodded again.

I glanced at Ding Li at this moment,

"Ding Li, how is your cooperation with Xiao Feng?

"This? Sister Xiao Feng is great; she knows a lot and can make decisions on critical matters. As for me, I listen to her on everything.

"My cooperation with Sister Xiao Feng is great." Ding Li took a puff of cigarette at this time.

I also took a puff of cigarette,

"Ding Li, Xiao Feng knows a lot about finance but understands little about other aspects. You are the legal person, the sole leader of the mine; you need to learn to make decisions on your own.

What I want to tell you is, a big man shouldn't always follow behind a woman.

"You need to conquer the woman. Do you understand? Let her listen to you."

After I finished speaking, Ding Li's face turned a bit red.

He smoked without speaking.

After a while, Ding Li softly said: "Zhao Ge, I really like Sister Xiao Feng, but I dare not face her. I want to get into her heart, but when facing her I'm always fierce. I'm a bit afraid of her."

"Hehe, Ding Li, you're a man, what's there to fear? No mountain is unpassable, no woman unconquerable. I support you; since you like Xiao Feng, this is good.

Xiao Feng, she's a very good woman. You must definitely get into her heart.

Sigh, she's really not easy.

Okay, Ding Li, be bolder.

Bring out the skill you used to flirt with waiters in Sijiucheng?

Don't overthink it; just flirt with her like ordinary men and women do. Know that Xiao Feng is a rich woman.

Once you've got her, there's something for you kid to enjoy.

Xiao Feng is a very kind woman; to gain her love is a lifelong happiness.

I can only say this much; what to do is up to you. I put you in the Qi He Kuang mine,

You should have a clear idea in your mind.

I laughed and said to Ding Li.

After Ding Li heard me finish speaking, he fell into deep thought.

After a while, he tossed the cigarette butt,

Then he said, "Right, Zhao Ge is right; it's no big deal, a man should take the initiative."

Since I, Ding Li, like her, I'll confess. What era is this, keeping this thing in my heart all day is driving me mad.

After Ding Li finished speaking and was about to carry his bag up to the office building, a quarrel suddenly came from the mine's Security Section.

I and Ding Li hurriedly looked toward the Security Section, only hearing Shi Yong shouting,

"You bunch of rabbit brats, I, Shi Yong, am now your Security Section Chief; you must obey me. Otherwise, I'll fire you all."

But I heard other people's opposing voices,

"Who are you? You claim to be our section chief, we already have a chief. This guy must be crazy."

"Get out quickly."

Many people shouted along with Shi Yong.

At this moment I said to Ding Li, "Forget it, Shi Yong went to the Security Section alone. This guy is crazy wanting to be chief. Come, let's go take a look."

"Zhao Ge, I forgot to tell you, I've just promoted a new chief. Oh dear, how do I handle this?" Ding Li was suddenly at a loss.

I and Ding Li hurriedly ran to the Security Section,

At this moment Shi Yong was having several senior workers surround him, and Shi Yong was about to strip his clothes.

I quickly stepped into the crowd,

"Big guys, calm down; your Mine Director Ding Li is here, let him tell us what to do."

I'll leave this matter to Ding Li to handle,

First to establish his authority, second to see his ability to handle affairs.

If he can't even handle this, it shows his management level is truly limited.

When Shi Yong saw us arrive, he became even more spirited,

"You little brats, look who's here, Ding Li, your Mine Director, my good buddy.

I say, if you want a Security Section Chief, be a Security Section Chief; your so‑called chief is nothing.

From now on you can only stick with me, Shi Yong.

This one, you see him, Zhao Jianqiang, my good big brother, is now the chairman of your mine.

All are people with real authority.

Just in time, you've arrived,

Let's announce it: I, Shi Yong, am the Security Section Chief." Shi Yong said shamelessly.

I said nothing; I wanted to see how Ding Li would handle it.
