Chapter 886

Ding Li came back three days later,

The first thing he did after coming back was to find me and report the situation.

We held a detailed discussion in a room at the Zaocheng Grand Hotel.

I finally understood what had happened in Xianggang.

Ding Li said: "Zhao Ge, you don't know, after I followed Zhou Jie and smuggled into Xianggang,

we first, with Ruan Wei's help, stayed at a private guesthouse for a while, and finally waited for Zhou Jie's overseas agent, Jack, to arrive.

This guy is extremely fat, like a pig, and loves to eat a lot,

he can eat six meals a day in Xianggang,

really makes people unable to tolerate it.

After Jack arrived,

we started discussing how to get Zhou Jie's assets out.

Zhou Jie's father, overseas, had deposits in five banks.

These funds were all transferred out through Jack's hands.

Two of them are banks in Xianggang.

These two Xianggang banks are also foreign-funded banks.

All that's needed is Zhou Jie's identity to get the money out of these two banks.

The amount in these two banks is not much, around one hundred million.

The main part is the three overseas banks.

The three overseas banks need some time for verification.

Everything is being handled by Jack.

You also know what happened in the process: Zhou Jie no longer trusts me,

he wants to give me some money so I can quickly leave his side.

He gave me a total of one million.

I took the money and didn't leave; following your instructions, I contacted Tian Shi's friend again,

hoping to seek his help to together get all of Zhou Jie's money out.

His surname is Geng.

I call him Brother Geng.

Upon hearing this, Brother Geng warmly received me.

I believe Tian Shi also spoke to him.

I then brought Brother Geng and found Zhou Jie and Jack.

Brother Geng locked them up.

From interrogating them, we learned that Zhou Jie's father, together with him, had over 1.9 billion deposited overseas.

That is a huge sum.

Moreover, it is illegally obtained.

Controlling Zhou Jie is equivalent to holding the key to withdraw this huge sum.

At that time, Brother Geng, upon hearing so much money,

was stunned.

He had privately approached me before, asking me not to disclose the amount of money for the time being.

When I heard that, I thought, "How can that be?"

I immediately reported the money matter to Zhu Sheng's side.

For this, Brother Geng became angry with me.

He grabbed me out of the hotel." Ding Li said this and took a puff of a cigarette.

As Ding Li said these things, I suddenly realized that the environment he was in at that time was extremely dangerous.

Because Brother Geng had harbored ill intentions.

That is, he did not want Ding Li to expose the money matter.

The fewer people who know, the better for him.

But Ding Li did not listen to him; he revealed Zhou Jie's money. Brother Geng became very angry.

"Ding Li, that Brother Geng,

after he caught you, whether he would move against you—if he does, that would be trouble." I said.

"This is mainly thanks to Ruan Wei; actually, Ruan Wei has been sending people to protect me. After Brother Geng seized me, Ruan Wei sent people to rescue me and also declared that if Brother Geng dares to act against me, they will make a big deal out of it.

That Brother Geng, upon seeing that I know people from the gang, dared not act recklessly.

Turning against me like that would be bad for him, after all, the connection with Tian Shi is there.

So he then proactively apologized and joined me in thinking of ways to get Zhou Jie's money out.

Actually, getting money from Zhou Jie is simple—he is in our hands,

as long as we apply some pressure on Zhou Jie, believing he will sacrifice anything for his life.

Why hasn't this money been moved yet?

Mainly because Tian Shi and Brother Geng haven't reached an agreement.

That is, where this money should be brought to and kept.

Brother Geng's opinion is that keeping it in their company's overseas account is safest.

But Tian Shi disagrees,

If the money is deposited into Geng Ge's account, then it means it will be hard to get that money out.

For this, I heard Zhu Sheng say, you had Yang Tao set up an offshore company overseas.

I nodded.

"Ding Li, yes, I had Yang Tao set up an offshore company overseas, just to make it easy to get the money back."

"Fortunately, we have Tian Shi; otherwise, this money would really be troublesome."

I estimate that Tian Shi and Geng Ge had a big argument.

Those few days, Geng Ge never again asked about Zhou Jie.

I just looked at Zhou Jie.

Actually, Zhou Jie and I have developed feelings over this long time.

Zhou Jie expressed to me that as long as he can stay alive, he is willing to cooperate to get the money back.

I also explained to Zhou Jie the purpose of our money.

That is, we are preparing to develop a tourism project in Xue County.

Zhou Jie readily agreed.

At that time, he had no choice but to disagree.

After all, under Geng Ge's territory, a little carelessness could really cost lives.

Zhou Jie also told me,

He said that even after handing over the money, he still wants to return to your side.

"He doesn't want to stay outside anymore; outside is not safe at all."

"This Zhou Jie, I really want to beat him up; what has he been doing all this time?"

"If he weren't thinking of taking the money and sneaking out, just taking it out directly would save a lot of trouble. How much acting has he done?" I took a puff of cigarette.

"Zhou Jie, he just doesn't get it; with so much money on him, if people find out, they'll surely scheme against him, and besides, he has no one protecting him outside."

"He's just a piece of fat meat; everyone wants to eat him." Ding Li said at this moment.

"Hmph, only by letting him truly experience it will he understand the cruelty of this reality."

"After Tian Shi and Zhu Sheng went, what did that Geng Ge do?" I asked again.

"After Tian Shi and Zhu Sheng arrived,"

they tried to find a way to communicate with Geng Ge.

Too many things happened in between.

"Brother Zhao, you don't know, that Geng Ge is a very difficult person to deal with."

"Tian Shi and Zhu Sheng arrived in Xianggang, and Geng Ge arranged for them to stay in a big hotel, wining and dining them every day, but never mentioning Zhou Jie."

Because of this, Tian Shi got angry.

Only then did Geng Ge talk with them, but he refused to hand over Zhou Jie.

During this period, our phones were all being tapped.

The rooms of Tian Shi and Zhu Sheng were installed with surveillance, and there were specially assigned women to harass them.

Therefore, Zhu Sheng arranged for us to try not to contact you, mainly worried that some things might leak.

Tian Shi brought Xiao Long along, but Tian Shi didn't want Xiao Long to participate too much, fearing Xiao Long might be in danger.

In that situation, danger could happen at any time.

When you contact Xiao Long, Xiao Long has some matters, but he also doesn't know much about them.

This is Tian Shi's deliberate arrangement.

"You can't blame Xiao Long." Ding Li said, finishing with a sip of water.

"I don't blame Xiao Long,"

"Has this matter been resolved yet? Have we gotten the money in hand?" I asked anxiously.

"This matter isn't as simple as we thought."

The matter hasn't been resolved yet; Tian Shi and Geng Ge are still negotiating with each other.

Zhu Sheng's opinion is that if we can resolve it through negotiation, that would be best,

try to keep the matter as small as possible, because if this money matter leaks out,

it will cause more trouble, and then we might not be able to get the money.

"However, Geng Ge's opinion is that he wants half." Ding Li looked at me and said.

"What, he wants half, that much?" I said, somewhat disbelieving.

"Yeah, this condition, Zhu Sheng and Tian Shi would never agree to it."

"If they don't agree, then Geng Ge will deliberately drag this matter out and not handle it."

"Not only does he not handle it, he also transferred Zhou Jie and Jack both,"

"transferring them to a place we don't know." Ding Li said helplessly.
