Chapter 11
Tang Yun roared and rushed toward the old woman.
The old woman sneered, and the silver needles in her hand shot toward Tang Yun like raindrops.
Tang Yun dodged left and right, while the dagger in his hand danced constantly, knocking down the incoming silver needles one by one.
"Not bad skills, worthy of being my grandson." The old woman laughed gloomily, "However, you are ultimately not my match."
As soon as the old woman finished speaking, countless poisonous insects suddenly surged out of the secret room, dense and creepy.
"Go to hell!" The old woman gave an order, and the poisonous insects rushed toward Tang Yun like a tide.
Tang Yun was shocked and hurriedly retreated.
"Asura Guards!" Tang Yun shouted.
As soon as the words fell, more than a dozen men in black entered the secret room one after another, surrounding Tang Yun.
"Protect the Young Master!"
The Asura Guards engaged in a fierce battle with the poisonous insects, the scene chaotic.
Beside the old woman stood a man in black, who was Han Xiaotian!
"Han Xiaotian, you actually..." Tang Yun looked at him.
Han Xiaotian sneered: "Tang Yun, you didn't expect it, did you? I am also a disciple of the Gu King."
"Why did you betray me?" Tang Yun roared.
"Betrayal? I have never been loyal to you." Cold light flashed in Han Xiaotian's eyes, "Everything I did was for the Gu King."
"You..." Tang Yun's heart was full of anger and disappointment.
"Now, let you see the true power of the Gu King!" The old man suddenly opened his eyes, two rays of essence shooting out.
He waved his hand suddenly, and the totem on the altar suddenly lit up, a powerful force surging from the totem, sweeping through the entire Ghost Cry Valley.
The Asura Guards were suddenly blown away by this force, one by one vomiting blood and falling to the ground.
Tang Yun also felt a powerful pressure, making him almost unable to breathe.
"Tang Yun, die!" Han Xiaotian grinned, a sharp dagger appearing in his hand, stabbing at Tang Yun's heart.
Lin Xiyue suddenly rushed out and blocked in front of Tang Yun.
"Puff!"
The dagger stabbed into Lin Xiyue's chest.
"Xiyue!" Tang Yun's eyes were about to split.
Lin Xiyue's face was pale, blood flowing from the corner of her mouth.
"Tang Yun... I... I'm fine..." Lin Xiyue said weakly.
"Xiyue, you..." Tang Yun hugged Lin Xiyue tightly, his heart aching like a knife.
Lin Xiyue's blood dripped to the ground, actually emitting a golden light.
The golden blood fell on the jade pendant worn on Lin Xiyue's neck, and the jade pendant emitted a dazzling light.
The light of the jade pendant became more and more intense, like a small sun, illuminating the entire dark Ghost Cry Valley. In the light, Lin Xiyue's wound actually healed at a speed visible to the naked eye.
"This... this how is it possible?!" Han Xiaotian's eyes widened, and the dagger in his hand fell to the ground with a "clatter."
The old woman was also shocked; she had lived for so long and had never seen such a strange thing.
"This jade pendant... could it be..." The old woman seemed to have thought of something, her face becoming even gloomier.
Lin Xiyue opened her eyes slowly, golden light flickering in her eyes. She felt a powerful force surging in her body, making her full of vitality.
"I... I feel..." Lin Xiyue said weakly.
"Xiyue, how do you feel?" Tang Yun asked anxiously.
Lin Xiyue shook her head, struggling to stand up, and looked at the old woman: "You... who are you?"
The old woman looked at Lin Xiyue, a trace of greed flashing in her eyes: "Who I am is not important. You can call me Granny."
"Grand... Granny?" Lin Xiyue was confused, "I... I don't remember having a Granny."
The old woman sneered: "It's normal that you don't remember, because you were hidden by your parents since you were a child."
"Hidden?" Lin Xiyue was even more confused.
"That's right, because your bloodline is special, once discovered by the Gu King, you would be used to sacrifice to the Blood Moon and open the Ten Thousand Gu Cave." The old woman explained.
"Blood Moon? Ten Thousand Gu Cave?" Lin Xiyue was confused.
Tang Yun's heart moved; he remembered his mother's diary, which seemed to have mentioned these words.
"Xiyue, this jade pendant..." Tang Yun pointed to the jade pendant on Lin Xiyue's neck.
Lin Xiyue looked down at the jade pendant; the light of the jade pendant had dimmed, but some strange patterns appeared on it.
"This... what is this?" Lin Xiyue asked confusedly.
Tang Yun didn't answer; he took out his mother's diary from his bosom and turned to one of the pages.
"This is... my mother's diary." Tang Yun said.
Tang Yun looked at the diary and said slowly: "Xiyue, this diary records that you possess a mysterious bloodline, which can activate the ancestral jade pendant you are wearing."
"My bloodline? This jade pendant?" Lin Xiyue looked at the diary in Tang Yun's hand, then at the jade pendant on her neck that had dimmed, confused.
Tang Yun continued: "Exactly, this bloodline can activate the jade pendant, thereby breaking the Blood Moon restriction and opening the Ten Thousand Gu Cave."
"But the Ten Thousand Gu Cave... what exactly is inside?" Tang Yun looked at the diary, full of doubts.
The old woman looked at the diary in Tang Yun's hand, a trace of fear flashing in her eyes: "Kid, you'd better hand over the diary, otherwise..."
Tang Yun sneered: "Otherwise what?"
"Otherwise, I will kill her!" The old woman pointed at Lin Xiyue, threatening.
Tang Yun's eyes flashed with murderous intent: "You dare!"
"See if I dare!" The old woman's murderous intent was awe-inspiring.
Just then, the totem on the altar suddenly lit up, and a powerful force sucked Tang Yun and Lin Xiyue in.
"Tang Yun! Xiyue!" Han Xiaotian exclaimed.
The old woman's face changed greatly: "Not good! They entered the Ten Thousand Gu Cave!"
The Ten Thousand Gu Cave was where the Gu King practiced and was also the forbidden ground of the Gu tribe.
It was full of all kinds of poisonous insects and beasts, as well as all kinds of deadly traps.
After Tang Yun and Lin Xiyue were sucked into the Ten Thousand Gu Cave, they lost consciousness.
When Tang Yun woke up again, he found himself in a dark and damp cave.
"Xiyue?" Tang Yun hurriedly shouted.
"I'm here." Lin Xiyue's voice came from the side.
Tang Yun turned to look, only to see Lin Xiyue leaning against the cave wall, her face pale.
"Are you okay?" Tang Yun asked with concern.
Lin Xiyue shook her head: "I'm fine, just a bit weak."
Tang Yun helped Lin Xiyue sit up and looked around.
The cave was dark and damp, and the air was filled with a fishy smell.
"What is this place?" Lin Xiyue asked.
"Don't know, it should be the Ten Thousand Gu Cave." Tang Yun said, patting the dust off his body and helping Lin Xiyue up.
Suddenly, a rustling sound came from the depths of the cave.
Tang Yun and Lin Xiyue's faces changed, and they hurriedly stood up, looking at the depths of the cave vigilantly.
Only to see a huge centipede crawling out from the depths of the cave, pitch black all over, emitting a nauseating fishy smell.
"Careful!" Tang Yun pulled Lin Xiyue behind him, and the dagger in his hand stabbed at the centipede fiercely.
The centipede was extremely fast, dodging Tang Yun's attack, and its huge body slammed into Tang Yun.
