Chapter 103: You Must Heal Me

~4 min read 626 words

Overcome by intense drowsiness, Lu Xiwán collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep.

She woke up to find it was already the next day.

Lu Xiwán pressed her throbbing forehead and, just after stepping out, saw Zhong Yun standing right outside the door.

"I just made some congee; have a bite," he said, holding a large tray that also bore several small dishes.

Lu Xiwán took the tray and peered toward the open room opposite.

"Is the person still not awake?"

Before she could finish speaking, Lu Xiwán was pushed into the room, and Zhong Yun, unable to bear it any longer, said, "Finish your meal before you speak."

Lu Xiwán ate under his stare, and only after finishing was she let out.

"He should be awake; you saw it last night, the medicine he took isn't ordinary, and it hasn't been fully resolved yet."

Without testing, Zhong Yun didn't know the exact drug either, so he could only handle it this way for now.

Zhong Yun suddenly reached out and dabbed at Lu Xiwán's corner of the mouth, then, feeling her gaze, awkwardly explained, "Your mouth corner isn't clean."

Lu Xiwán nodded thoughtfully, and out of the corner of her eye saw Zhong Yun's ear tips reddened as if about to bleed.

Fu Sijue sat on the bed, quietly watching the scene at the doorway, his expression solemn, a layer of frost covering his face.

A vague pain throbbed in his chest, and Fu Sijue clutched his heart, furrowing his brows.

He feels discomfort because of Yao Yao…

Fu Sijue strives to ignore the strange feeling inside, maintaining a calm facade.

"I'm no longer a little girl; Senior Brother, why do you look at me as if I'm a child…" Lu Xiwán said, a hint of helplessness curling at the corner of her mouth.

Bang!

A muffled thud came from behind, and Lu Xiwán instinctively turned to look.

Only then did she realize Fu Sijue had already woken, and when he reached for the water cup he accidentally knocked the chair.

"Since Mr. Fu is already awake, Senior Brother, you should first check on him, okay?"

Lu Xiwán plopped onto the sofa chair by the bedside, pursing her lips to signal Zhong Yun to examine.

Fu Sijue subtly evaded Zhong Yun's hand, his gaze cold as he met his eyes.

"What does that mean?" Zhong Yun, not used to him, stood aside, looking at Fu Sijue with displeasure.

"I don't need you to come."

Zhong Yun sneered, "Mr. Fu wouldn't be picky at a time like this, would he?"

"If it weren't for me last night, Mr. Fu would already be on the brink of death now. Why didn't you say anything then?"

The two's dispute erupted inexplicably, and Lu Xiwán only felt a throbbing headache.

"You needn't doubt Senior Brother's ability, Mr. Fu, you…"

"I want you to heal me," Fu Sijue said, his voice firm and unrefusable.

Zhong Yun, in a huff, was about to pack up and leave, but his peripheral vision caught the cramped figure outside the door.

"Now Mr. Fu doesn't need to be picky; your antidote has arrived."

Lu Xiwán could easily pick up the sarcasm in the words; following Zhong Yun's gaze, she saw Yun Ruojin.

"A Jue, you're finally okay; I was so worried," Yun Ruojin rushed to Fu Sijue's bedside, performing as if acting, her tearful power no less than Gu Qingmeng's.

Lu Xiwán thought that last night, when she boldly scolded others, she couldn't show how much she was worried about Fu Sijue.

Fu Sijue, however, was not as calm as Lu Xiwán imagined; his gaze clearly held a few more degrees of disgust.

"The drug I was given last night is related to you."
