Chapter 150: Don't Let Me Get a Hold
Fu Sijue's words sounded familiar.
It was just like the nagging admonitions her mother gave her years ago.
Lu Xiwán felt a bit embarrassed by the remark, quickly broke free from his embrace, and sat down on the chair.
"I'm not busy every day; today is a special case."
Lu Xiwán hurried to explain herself, "This really is a special case. After the fashion show ended today, there was a banquet, and those things happened... My mind is a mess right now."
Lu Xiwán grabbed a handful of hair in panic; the thought of Luo Laoyezi still being in the hospital made her feel uneasy.
"You shouldn't joke with your own body either."
"I'm not joking; the situation is just urgent," Lu Xiwán thought she was right, so she wouldn't yield to Fu Sijue and kept her stance.
Fu Sijue gave Lu Xiwán a cold glance, "In your eyes, other people's matters are more important than your own."
"Grandpa Luo isn't someone else; when I was at my toughest, he and Luo Zhou helped me, and I'm grateful to them."
Lu Xiwán's words made Fu Sijue laugh in anger, and he stood up and left.
Lu Xixi was startled by the scene and whispered, "Uncle Fu seems angry; Mommy, aren't you going to coax him?"
Lu Xiwán: "I didn't do anything wrong!"
After saying that, she left as well; Lu Xixi and Yao Yao stared at each other.
"But why is Mommy scolding me..." Lu Xixi felt deeply aggrieved.
Yao Yao gently patted Xixi's shoulder, "Don't worry, sister Xixi; tomorrow morning they won't argue anymore."
Yao Yao looked composed, appearing not worried at all.
With his reassurance, Xixi gradually calmed down.
But by the next morning, the two still ignored each other, and even Lu Xiwán remained silent.
Xixi grew anxious, repeatedly giving Yao Yao meaningful looks.
Their little gestures didn't escape Fu Sijue's eyes; he merely frowned slightly and said nothing.
Yao Yao set the bread down, staring expressionlessly at Lu Xiwán.
"Mommy, why aren't you paying attention to Daddy?"
His gaze was pure, and such a blunt question left Lu Xiwán unable to respond.
She suddenly didn't know how to answer.
She cast a cautious glance at the equally indifferent Fu Sijue.
What on earth is he angry about?
Lu Xiwán's temper flared up instantly, "It wasn't me who stopped speaking first!"
After saying that, she tossed the bread aside and left.
Yao Yao and Xixi's heated gazes instantly fell on Fu Sijue.
"Uncle Fu, boys should take care of girls," Xixi said earnestly.
Yao Yao also echoed, nodding seriously.
The two little dumplings coordinated flawlessly.
But Fu Sijue turned a blind eye to it.
"Children shouldn't meddle in adult matters."
Fu Sijue's ungrateful attitude made Lu Xixi angry; she pouted with a puffed mouth.
It was so cute that anyone who saw it couldn't help but want to pinch it.
"Daddy, if you act like that you won't win over any girls," Yao Yao seriously helped Xixi speak.
Fu Sijue glanced at them and posed a soul‑crushing question, "When did I ever say I was going after girls?"
Lu Xixi was stunned, her mouth full of words suddenly unable to speak.
Fu Sijue nodded satisfactorily, finished his meal in silence, and left.
