Chapter 166: It Will Only Make Her Worse

~4 min read 638 words

Si Jiuyin gave Xie Zian a cold glance, "You can drown yourself in drunken fantasies, but don't drag me along."

Xie Zian didn't leave right away; instead, he paced over to where Cai Weiwei, Yun Ruojin, and Jing Jing'er were.

"Miss Yun really played a good hand; I almost fell for your trick."

After speaking, Xie Zian led a group of young gentlemen out, and together with Yun Ruojin's party they were taken to the Police Station for a statement.

No one noticed that the thug who had been standing behind Huang Mao slipped a handful of something into Yun Ruojin's hand as he passed by.

Huang Mao carefully took Lu Xiwán out, thinking he had escaped, and even flipped the middle finger at the nightclub.

Lu Xiwán, caught at his weak point, dared not move at all.

Yet such childish behavior left Lu Xiwán speechless inside.

"If you let me go now, my sentence could be reduced."

"Shut up, you stinky bitch! If I hadn't let you go, would I still be out? Do you really think those police can do anything to me?"

Huang Mao was smug, but Lu Xiwán caught a fleeting silhouette and dared not even breathe.

"Right now it's fine, but are you sure they can let you roam free?" Lu Xiwán steadied herself, trying to stay calm while discussing with Huang Mao.

Huang Mao snorted lightly, ignored Lu Xiwán's words, and roughly shoved a key with his left hand into her hand.

Xie Zian's flamboyant red Ferrari made his eyes bloodshot.

They all only know how to eat, drink, and have fun—how do some people manage to live so well?

"Stop the chatter, drive already!"

Lu Xiwán shifted uneasily, "You're tying me so tightly now; if I move even a bit, I'll die…"

Huang Mao looked around warily, and once he was sure there was no danger, he loosened Lu Xiwán.

"Get moving and drive!"

In the blink of an eye, a figure lunged forward and, while Huang Mao was distracted, knocked the glass shard from his hand and sent it flying.

Fu Sijue's expression was cold, a weight of force in his brows and eyes, and with a single kick he knocked the wind‑weak Huang Mao onto the ground.

Lu Xiwán let out a gasp, covering her neck, and felt a wet hand.

Fu Sijue, venting his anger, kicked him a few more times, and only then Si Jiuyin arrived with her men.

Seeing Huang Mao's dust‑covered, mud‑splattered face, Si Jiuyin almost laughed.

But she kept a serious expression as she looked at Fu Sijue, "You didn't do anything to him just now, right?"

Fu Sijue shook his head innocently, "I only pressed him to the ground; he was the dishonest one, that's why he rolled in the dust."

Si Jiuyin, already hating Huang Mao for injuring Lu Xiwán, said little and ordered her subordinates to seize him.

"Take Wanwan to the hospital first and have her examined."

As a witness on the scene, Si Jiuyin couldn't leave either; she tossed that line and left.

"Let me see what's wrong first," Fu Sijue frowned, looking at Lu Xiwán.

Lu Xiwán just covered her neck and shook her head, "I'm fine; I can go home and bandage myself."

Fu Sijue wasn't going to settle it that way; he forced her into Xie Zian's car.

"The wound on your neck isn't a trifle," he said, buckling her in, and slammed the accelerator, driving off.

"I'm not being pretentious; if we rush to the hospital now, the wound will probably have already scabbed."

Lu Xiwán still had to thank that Huang Mao was holding a glass shard, not a knife.

Otherwise her life would truly have been at stake today.

"Stop babbling; I'm taking you to the hospital to see Zhong Yun right now."
