Chapter 194: Celebrating Her Return
Xi Xi was making it clear she didn't want to miss any chance; Lu Xiwán saw it, but in front of Fu Sijue she couldn't say anything.
"No need to eat; from now on just don't be so courteous to me."
Fu Sijue patted Xi Xi's little head, but his gaze fell on Lu Xiwán.
Lu Xiwán gave an awkward smile, didn't answer Fu Sijue's question directly, and after a long pause spoke again.
"In public, the only times President Fu and I can meet are at the company, so it's natural not to discuss private matters; President Fu should understand my feelings."
Lu Xiwán thought that after saying that, Fu Sijue would have nothing more to say.
But he actually stopped, looking at her seriously.
"We're not at the company now, so you shouldn't call me President Fu."
The atmosphere grew tense, and Xi Xi, pulling Yao Yao, stared excitedly at the two.
Lu Xiwán didn't dodge, and she also looked back at him seriously.
"If I don't call you President Fu, what should I call you? Yao Yao's dad?"
Clearly determined to cut ties with Fu Sijue, Lu Xiwán pretended not to understand each of his probes.
Fu Sijue pursed his lips, took Yao Yao's small hand, and walked forward without a word.
Finally he turned his head toward Lu Xiwán, a faint smile curling his lips, "Then could Miss Xi look after Yao Yao for me? I'll be busy for a while."
He was clearly smiling, yet Lu Xiwán saw no mirth in his eyes.
Instead she sensed a hint of anger.
But she hadn't offended him, except for that earlier remark.
In response, Lu Xiwán fell silent and, with Xi Xi, got into the car after a sudden argument.
No one knew that their whole day's experience had been fully reported to Yun Ruojin without any omission.
Yun Ruojin stared wide‑eyed at the private detective, her mind buzzing.
"You say A Jue took Xi Wan to the beach? She even went after Xi Wan?"
Yun Ruojin's heart felt as if someone were gripping it hard, the pain making her frown.
"Yes, Miss, do you still have to keep enduring it?" the man, his brow lowered and head bowed, said to Yun Ruojin with utmost respect.
Yun Ruojin's eyes seemed ready to burst into flame, full of anger as she stared at the man.
"What did Father say?" Yun Ruojin suddenly recalled something, suppressing the anger on her face, giving a half‑smile as she looked at the man.
Right now, the one who should be anxious isn't her, but the Yun family.
The man lowered his head even further, "Sir said you've already wasted a long time; he hopes you can resolve this matter quickly. Otherwise…"
Yun Ruojin gave a sarcastic smile, her fingertip lightly touching the flower on the table, "Who doesn't know what they're thinking?"
They only think that because they're holding her mother in their hands, they truly have her under control.
"The Fu Family is a piece of fat meat they've never been willing to let go of; could they possibly let me go back?"
Yun Ruojin raised an eyebrow, then hooked the man's jaw, forcing him to lift his head and look at her.
"Go back now and tell him, don't even think of using this excuse to force me to do anything."
Saying that, Yun Ruojin felt a sudden lightness in her heart.
"Miss, even if you don't think of yourself, you must think of the madam… Miss Two has no intention of giving in."
Yun Ruojin kept pressing, crushing the man's jaw until a deep imprint formed, then she let go.
Her eyes were full of red veins, and a blood mark was bitten onto her lips.
