Chapter 221: He Doesn't Love You At All
Xie Zian, who was beside him, inhaled a sharp breath of cool air.
And then he felt fortunate.
He was glad he hadn't fallen into love yet, so he wouldn't have to wait in anguish and ruin himself into this state.
"Stop thinking about that. Come with me to a place; I guarantee it'll make you forget all the troubles right now."
Gu Zian swore solemnly, and Fu Sijue, in a moment of heat, surprisingly believed Xie Zian's words.
Half an hour later, he stared at the bar's sign, lost in thought.
"Is this the kind of place you brought me to?"
Fu Sijue had never objected to Xie Zian going out to have fun, but while standing here, he inexplicably felt a wave of disgust.
Both mentally and physically, Fu Sijue could not accept a place like this.
Xie Zian gave him a push. "What are you thinking? This is a respectable place; it's not excessive to go in and have a drink, right? Don't tell me you stopped drinking just to chase Lu Xiwán!"
Fu Sijue hesitated briefly, then Xie Zian dragged him inside.
Inside the bar, deafening music mixed with cheers, and the constantly flashing neon lights made the men and women swaying on the dance floor look even more frantic.
Fu Sijue frowned in incomprehension, watching these people as if he were looking at another world.
Xie Zian had seen scenes like this many times, so he wasn't surprised at all; he smoothly led Fu Sijue up to a private room upstairs.
"It's because they endure so much during the day that they choose to come out at night here to vent their excess energy."
Xie Zian poured himself a drink and, through the floor-to-ceiling window, watched the revelers below.
Alcohol is the most numbing, and in an atmosphere that easily stirs emotions, even the most steadfast person will be affected.
Xie Zian turned his head toward Fu Sijue, his gaze carrying a hint of curiosity.
"What are you trying to say by bringing me to a place like this?"
Regarding whatever provoked his aversion, Fu Sijue didn't even have the thought to understand.
"Your emotions are too tense; constantly dwelling on one thing only makes you more nervous."
The restless atmosphere, the heated setting, and Xie Zian's constant persuasion made Fu Sijue, as if by a ghostly impulse, abandon his intention to leave.
Xie Zian smiled contentedly, and the bar owner timely walked over, "The same ones as before?"
Xie Zian shook his head, "No need today; watching them dance is pointless. The two of us can just have a drink ourselves."
Xie Zian was also a regular here; the bar owner nodded and stepped out.
Fu Sijue looked at Xie Zian curiously, "Do you hang out here with that group every day?"
Xie Zian grew dissatisfied, lightly tapping his glass against the table.
"How can you call it hanging out? We just like watching girls dance; we never act recklessly."
According to the Xie family creed, Xie Zian could play however he wanted outside, but he must never leave affection everywhere.
Fu Sijue had always known that these pampered young masters, labeled as playboys, loved to have fun, so he had no objections.
"I ask how you can give up an entire forest for just one woman? After all these years, you haven't even touched Gu Qingmeng once."
Unfortunately, Fu Sijue could not tolerate the warm, fragrant softness; the jade was thrown into his embrace.
A hint of a smile curled at Xie Zian's mouth; under the bar's lights, his features appeared even more bewitching.
Knowing Fu Sijue's principles, Xie Zian still tried to tempt him verbally, but before he could finish, Fu Sijue's glance scared him into swallowing his words.
"Put away those thoughts; I'm not interested in the women here."
