Chapter 341: The Abandoned Child

Lu Xiwan and Fu Sijue glanced at each other, both seeing surprise in the other's eyes.

"Did you remember wrong?"

"That day Leona had already been frightened into that state; to still choose to lie in that situation, unless all of this is just an act she put on."

Ke Lin Dun gave a bitter laugh, "I've kept this bottled up in my heart for so long; every day I think back to that scene, and whenever I close my eyes I regret my cowardice and inadequacy. Why would I lie to you again?"

Lu Xiwan then turned her gaze to the storage card, projecting the footage from that time onto the big screen with half belief and half doubt.

A woman sneaked out of the ward holding a child; although several years have passed, one can still tell at a glance that the person is Leona.

The video contains a long stretch of shaky footage with nothing visible, yet one can clearly sense that the cameraman was carefully following Leona, so much so that he dared not raise his phone.

"I know what you're doubting; when I filmed this video, my leg wasn't injured yet."
