Chapter 72: I shouldn't be getting a divorce in the short term
Du Linze did not wait for her response, and then asked in a low, probing voice, "You want to find out about the female student Mo Shu, right?"
"You know again?"
"I just saw you follow her out, and you must have diagnosed something; I don't trust others, but your pulse reading is absolutely never wrong." Du Linze's tone was certain.
When he went to seek medical treatment back then, he was only seven, but she, at ten, was already helping her grandfather treat patients.
Qin Yan pointed at Mo Shu's name on the student roster and asked in a low voice, "Can you help me check what men this girl has been in contact with, and also her family environment?"
"Is she pregnant?" Du Linze asked in a low voice.
"..." Qin Yan did not answer, but instead used a book to block his head and pushed him away. "Do your job well; I can help you correct the issues with your acupuncture technique."
"Alright, leave it to me. Then can I add your account?" Du Linze took out his phone.
Qin Yan did not refuse either; she took out her phone and scanned the code to add him.
After class, the class finished collecting the students' workbooks, and Du Linze said he would help, carrying the workbooks to the office for her.
"I heard you married Gu He'an?"
"Just hearsay, not very credible." Qin Yan retorted.
"What's so good about Gu He'an? A waste of space, a pretentious guy who wears glasses. If you like men who wear glasses, my brother can do it too!" Du Linze said.
Qin Yan was between laughter and tears and reminded him, "Who I am with is my private business, you should stop worrying about it."
"That won't do, you are the sister-in-law I've chosen. You can list the standards you like in a man and let my brother learn." Du Linze's tone was serious, which gave Qin Yan an even worse headache.
"Student Du, you are an adult now, can you do something normal? Choosing a sister-in-law for your brother, you really have the nerve to say that. You have no right to interfere in your brother's life, understand?"
"Why can't I? He owes me!"
Qin Yan rubbed her brow; she didn't know about the matters between the brothers, and she was too lazy to waste any more breath.
"Qin Yan!"
Suddenly hearing Madam Qin's voice, Qin Yan stopped in her tracks and saw Madam Qin running toward her.
"Qin Yan, I have something to find you for!" Madam Qin ran to her side, panting, and said with an anxious expression.
Qin Yan looked at her expression; it certainly wasn't anything good.
She stepped back two paces to keep a distance from Madam Qin.
"What is it? Say it directly."
"Qin Yan, I am your mother, what kind of attitude is this?" Madam Qin scolded coldly. "Do you want your scandals to be known by the whole school?"
Qin Yan sneered and retorted, "My scandals? Aren't they just having a mother like you?"
"You—" Madam Qin gritted her teeth in anger. "How can you throw a tantrum at your husband and even block him? You are truly too ignorant!"
As Madam Qin spoke, she wore a sorrowful face again. "It's all Mom's fault. I shouldn't have left you with your grandparents back then; otherwise, you wouldn't have been raised to be so unreasonable. You have a bad temper, and it was a blessing cultivated over three lifetimes that you managed to marry into the Gu Family.
Qin Yan, Mom won't harm you. Listen to Mom and go find your husband. I heard his old injury has flared up and his leg hurts terribly. Hurry and buy medicine to send to him to please him; he will definitely forgive you!"
Qin Yan stared at her with cold eyes and finally understood.
It was because she didn't answer Gu He'an's calls, which annoyed him, so he went to find the Qin family and had them come to persuade her.
Unfortunately, his plan was miscalculated.
He knew full well that she had a bad relationship with her parents, yet he still used this method to probe her—ridiculous!
"You are indeed wrong, but where you are wrong is coming to bother me. I won't listen to you, you'd better stop pestering me!"
Madam Qin was truly at her wit's end; she gritted her teeth and warned, "Qin Yan, you wouldn't want your students to know that you not only caused your own family to go bankrupt, but also raised a hand against your father, abused your sister, and even caused your brother to be disfigured, would you? A rotten person like you, to be able to marry—ah!"
Bang!
Madam Qin had originally intended to use the Qin family's affairs to threaten her, to ruin her reputation and make her reviled by others, hoping she would lose this job so she would obediently go apologize to Gu He'an.
But before she could finish her sentence, a book smashed into her face. Her forehead and nose were struck with pain, and she felt liquid flowing out. She raised her hand to touch under her nose—it was actually fresh blood.
She wailed while clutching her face.
Then she saw a young man with dyed hair rushing toward her with a fierce expression, crouching down to pick up the book.
He was tall, and standing in front of her, he was extremely oppressive.
He patted the book in his hand, sneered, and said, "Who do you think you are, daring to talk about her like that!"
"Qin Yan, you dare let someone hit your own biological mother! You will be struck by lightning sooner or later!" She was too scared to look the man in the eye and could only shout at Qin Yan.
"Still blathering!"
Du Linze's eyes were filled with malice. She was Qin Yan's mother; not only did she not love her, but she still hurt her like this—truly detestable.
"Believe it or not, I'll smash your brains out!"
Du Linze held the book and raised his arm, but was stopped by Qin Yan.
"So young, yet so much malice." Qin Yan pushed Du Linze away and looked coldly at Madam Qin. "If you don't want to die, why aren't you rolling away? Waiting for me to collect your corpse?"
Madam Qin retreated in terror, glaring at Qin Yan. "Qin Yan, I advise you to hurry and find Gu He'an. If the Qin family goes bankrupt because of you, I will absolutely not let you off!"
Qin Yan didn't even give her a glance and dragged Du Linze toward the faculty building.
Annoying flies that couldn't stir up any waves, just disgusting!
"Student Du, laying hands on someone in public—what if you get caught on camera? Aren't you afraid of bringing trouble upon yourself!"
If Madam Qin had really been injured, she would have had even more reason to come and cause trouble.
Du Linze, however, was completely unconcerned and even asked with curiosity, "Are you going to divorce Gu He'an? Do you need a lawyer? I can help you find someone; I will definitely help you secure the maximum benefits."
"I shouldn't be getting a divorce in the short term, so there's no need to trouble you." Qin Yan refused his good intentions.
Du Linze was a little disappointed, but he wouldn't give up. "Then I'll wait for you. Teacher Qin, I'll go take care of that matter for you first."
Walking outside the office, Du Linze was a bit afraid of Shi Laoshi, so he didn't go in; he returned the workbooks to her and ran off in a hurry.
"..." Qin Yan was between laughter and tears.
She knocked on the office door, heard a sound from inside, and pushed the door open. She didn't see Shi Laoshi, but instead saw Shi Yuanhong sitting in the teacher's seat.
"Qin Yan, good afternoon."
"..." Qin Yan pursed her lips, not wanting to pay him any mind.
She watched him stand up, walk past her, and prepare to leave, placing the workbook on the office desk.
But then she heard a bang; she turned around in surprise to see that Shi Yuanhong had closed the door and even locked it.
She furrowed her brows, feeling a bit guarded.
"Qin Yan, it seems you understood some of what I said to you before, but you didn't grasp the meaning." Shi Yuanhong looked at her and said with a smile, "You handed the project over to Lu Corporation; what's the matter, can't hold onto the golden thigh of Gu Corporation anymore, so now you need to switch targets?"
"Does that have anything to do with you?"
"Qin Yan, your fake-pure act also has a unique flavor to it." Shi Yuanhong walked up to her, staring at her face with a lecherous gaze.
Years ago, he had done even more excessive things to her; he had previously worried she would cause a scene, but he hadn't expected her to leave the school without a word, which convinced him that even if he went too far, this woman would definitely suffer in silence.
