Qin Yan looked at the photo of her and Gu He'an that had fallen to the floor.

She was momentarily dazed.

That was the first day Gu He'an could discard his crutches and walk independently; to celebrate, she had taken a few photos of the two of them with an instant camera to keep as a memento.

She had tucked it into a book and forgotten to throw it away.

Lu Qianchuan, standing to the side, watched the woman pick up the photo, her eyes seemingly filled with nostalgia, his own gaze deep and inscrutable.

He said, "This should be a fond memory of yours; you should keep it."

He opened the book, signaling that she could put the photo back inside; he did not mind at all that she kept these photos.

Qin Yan, however, did not put the photo back, but instead walked over to the trash can and tossed it in without a hint of attachment.

"A dark history—should I keep it for penance?"

Looking at the photo in the trash, Lu Qianchuan curled the corners of his lips, then quickly reined in his emotions and asked in return, "Don't you find it a pity? After all, you had many expectations when you were with him."

Qin Yan continued organizing the books, her attitude indifferent, "All expectations were built on the premise that I was in a good mood; now, I just feel disgusted."

"It was my carelessness that brought these things out and put you in a bad mood." Lu Qianchuan apologized and handed the book to her.

"It has nothing to do with you." Qin Yan took the book and, still uneasy, gave it a shake; a sticky note actually fell out.

On it was written the Prescription for the medicine Gu He'an was taking, as well as a treatment plan.

She also disdainfully crumpled the sticky note into a ball and threw it into the trash can.

A change in shares is not something that can be done just by signing a contract; it requires going through the change of registration procedure at the Industry and Commerce Bureau for the share transfer to be successful and legally valid.

The reason Qin Yan and Lu Qianchuan had been so smooth before was that Gu He'an had made the preliminary preparations, so they only needed to sign the contract and take it to complete the change of registration.

Qin Yan turned to look at him and said thoughtfully, "Then, at what stage is your plan to acquire the Gu Corporation?"

"In the materials you gave me, I found a key person, Yu Ming; as long as he nods, the acquisition can be launched immediately," Lu Qianchuan said.

Qin Yan thought for a moment, "Then let's think of a way together and handle it as soon as possible."
