Chapter 1: Pressing His Arm
"Little beauty, come quickly and let brother kiss you~"
A greasy, hurried male voice rang out nearby, accompanied by a sickening gasp.
Su Ruan's vision was hazy, but even with the blurred sight she could tell this wasn't the world she belonged to.
The dilapidated warehouse reeked of gasoline; the wall's surface flaked slightly, and above the vast space a lone tungsten filament bulb swayed.
It couldn't be said to have any relation to her 800‑square‑meter mansion; it could only be described as worlds apart!
"Anyway, the wedding's coming soon; doing this first or later is the same, right? Come let brother kiss you…"
Su Ruan's face flushed; as the heroine of a Restriction Novel she was intimately familiar with her body's reactions.
Clearly someone had drugged this body!
She watched the stumbling man lunge toward her, a slight curl at his mouth, and without hesitation she bit her own tongue.
The moment the taste of blood filled her mouth, her drowsy mind snapped into brief clarity.
She rose, barely steadying her limp body.
"Hard and hurting? Fine… I'm not afraid of you being hard, I'm afraid of you being soft…"
The man hadn't yet grasped Su Ruan's meaning, assuming she had resigned herself, and reached out to embrace her.
But the next second—
"Ahhh—"
The man clutched his crotch, his face contorted, and with a "bang" he knelt on the ground.
"Hard hits feel better underfoot; they're far more decisive than a limp one!"
Su Ruan sneered, her pale little face drenched in sweat; realizing she couldn't stay, she turned and staggered toward the warehouse exit.
Damn it, wasn't she just in her original world caught in a massive battlefield? How did she open her eyes and get dragged to this god‑forsaken, barren place!
Su Ruan cursed herself inwardly; she had been a cannon‑fodder side character in a Restriction Novel, but after awakening a golden‑finger system she leapt to become its heroine.
Just as she was about to launch her Commercial Empire, she inexplicably transmigrated at this critical moment!
Moreover, according to this body's memories, she had transmigrated into an Era Novel she had once read.
Unfortunately the drug's effect struck again; Su Ruan's vision blurred anew, her steps grew weaker, and she couldn't smooth out the unfolding plot.
Just as she was about to collapse, her footing gave way and she crashed straight into a solid chest.
"Ugh!"
The impact made her nose sting, and the dizziness in her head intensified.
The person she hit seemed startled for a moment, then a warm hand wrapped in a thin sheath steadied her near‑falling shoulder, its grip strong and carrying an unmistakable aura.
"Hey! What are you running from, in a hurry to be reborn? Do you know you just ran into little master!"
The man's voice rang out, a fresh low rasp from a recent voice change, lazy yet unrefined, sounding youthful but with a wild vigor.
Su Ruan struggled to lift her head.
Moonlight and the faint distant streetlamp outlined the figure before her.
He was a tall young man, wearing a trendy leather jacket, leaning against the wall, apparently still holding a cigarette between his lips, the ember flickering.
His brows and eyes were sharp, jawline sleek and tense, exuding a defiant, bratty "little wolf‑dog" aura.
He initially seemed displeased at being knocked into, his brows slightly furrowed as he lowered his head.
But when his gaze landed on Su Ruan's face, that irritation froze instantly, then vanished, replaced by an unabashed astonishment.
The girl before him was pitifully thin, her oversized clothes hanging empty, barefoot and in a sorry state.
Yet that face was simply stunning!
Her pale, delicate skin flushed with an unnaturally alluring crimson; her eyes, clouded by the drug and fear, had watery rims tinged red, as if bearing a massive grievance.
Her lips, bitten raw and swollen, were slightly open as she breathed, fragile yet dazzlingly beautiful, like a night‑blooming, dew‑kissed tǔmí flower, exuding a near‑fragile, ultimate beauty.
He stared blankly, unaware that the cigarette in his mouth had gone out.
Su Ruan seized the moment of his distraction, using her last ounce of strength to push him away, still intending to run.
But as she took a step, the youth's hand seized her wrist.
His palm was scorching, the grip immense, squeezing her until it hurt.
"Wait."
His voice lowered, the brash vigor fading, adding a hint of curiosity and a barely perceptible tension.
"You… what's going on?"
His gaze swept over the direction she came from, catching the faint wail, then fell on her unusually flushed face; his brows furrowed again, this time with a different implication.
"Who drugged you?"
"None of your—" Su Ruan's impatient words halted; the little wolf‑dog before her seemed outwardly tough but hollow inside, likely still a youngster in this era.
And that leather jacket wasn't cheap; although the little wolf‑dog appeared brash, his upbringing was evident.
Otherwise he would have lunged at her like the disgusting man in the warehouse already did.
Su Ruan changed her mind and made a decision.
She flopped onto the man's body, instantly feeling his torso stiffen, as if an acupoint had been struck.
Su Ruan smirked inwardly but made no further move.
Jiang Ran subconsciously extended his hand to steady her, his palm landing on her waist, so slender it could barely be grasped.
Through a thin layer of clothing, the delicate sensation and scorching heat tingled his palm, nearly making it recoil, yet an inexplicable compulsion kept it still.
"Hey! You…"
His throat tightened, his voice hoarse compared to before, trying to keep the brash tone but betraying a barely noticeable panic.
Su Ruan's consciousness gradually faded; instinctively she extended her feeble hand, clutching the collar of his jacket, her fingertips whitening from the strain, a helpless reliance.
She lifted her face, her misty eyes straining to focus as they looked at him.
Her long eyelashes were wet with tears, clumped together in tiny bunches, trembling with her faint, quivering breath.
The emotions in those eyes were so complicated that Jiang Ran's breath caught.
Dazed, fragile, and a hint of pure lust sparked by the drug's effect intertwined into an astonishing allure.
Jiang Ran only felt his mouth dry and tongue parched, yet his gaze could not look away.
"Some—someone drugged me, please—please save me…"
Her voice was soft and syrupy, tinged with sobs.
Every word sounded like the most seductive mutterings.
Jiang Ran's breathing suddenly grew heavier, the hand that clasped her waist tightening unconsciously, his Adam's apple rolling violently.
When had he ever seen such a scene?
He was a master of fighting ruthlessly and spouting hot talk, but being pressed tightly by a woman so exquisitely beautiful yet fragile, pleading helplessly, was an entirely unfamiliar realm.
His heart pounded as if it would burst out of his chest, and a flush spread to the base of his ears.
Jiang Ran felt relieved that it was already dark night, the darkness deep enough to conceal what had happened.
He cleared his throat, even trying to sound a bit impatient to mask the turmoil inside.
"Alright, alright, that's enough trouble!"
The next second, Jiang Ran, like cradling a child, lifted Su Ruan with one hand.
It wasn't a princess carry; his arm slipped through Su Ruan's knee bend, letting her sit directly on his forearm.
Su Ruan's muddled mind was startled into clarity for a moment by the posture, and she instinctively lowered her eyes toward Jiang Ran.
"Sit properly; no one has ever sat on this arm of mine, little master."
