Chapter 276: The Eve of Returning Home
After dinner, Shen Yan wandered through the clothing section with Wu Yue'er, buying himself a black wool coat paired with a gray hooded sweatshirt underneath—mature yet stylish.
He added a pair of straight-leg trousers and black leather shoes.
The whole set came to nearly five thousand yuan.
Afterwards, the two went to the women's clothing section. With Wu Yue'er there to advise him, Shen Yan also bought several well-fitting outfits for Shen Nainai.
Girls have almost no resistance to beautiful clothes. Looking at the various lovely garments hanging on the racks, Wu Yue'er's beautiful eyes sparkled as she asked Shen Yan which style looked good. Shen Yan, knowing his own aesthetic sense couldn't compare to hers, simply told her to pick whatever she liked.
He sat to one side and played on his phone.
Scrolling through his social feed, everyone was having such a great time during the winter break that they had forgotten to return home.
Tang Song shared quite a bit of the northern scenery from Caiyun Zhinan. After climbing Wangjiangling, the vast landscape was laid out before his eyes. There was also Santan Pubu; in the video, Tang Song stood before the waterfall with his arms spread wide, the water cascading down like a galaxy—infinitely spectacular.
Shen Yan commented below: "The scenery is nice. I heard Dali and Lijiang are especially beautiful. I'll go visit when I have time. (Thumbs up) (Thumbs up)"
Tang Song replied: "Come on over, it's definitely more fun than Hangzhou."
Chen Shanni replied: "Take me with you, I want to go too."
Yu Youwei replied: "Can you not be so flashy? (Pitiful)"
Lin Yang replied: "So rich and willful!"
Shen Yan replied to them one by one.
This clothing store had two changing rooms. Just then, Wu Yue'er poked her head out of one of them, waved at Shen Yan, and called out in a sweet, coquettish voice: "Hubby, come in and help me take a look."
In an instant, the gazes of every man in the store converged.
With the Spring Festival approaching and it being an evening lull, there were quite a few people out shopping for new clothes. This women's clothing store alone had gathered over a dozen people, including many who were accompanying their wives.
Wu Yue'er was tall with a sexy figure and was impeccably beautiful; she had captured the attention of every man the moment she entered the store.
But hindered by their wives' presence, they could only steal glances. Even so, those black-silk-clad legs made them feel parched and restless; it was hard to imagine what kind of wonderful scenery was hidden inside that changing room.
They were all thinking about how much incense Shen Yan must have burned in his past life to be able to marry such a peerless beauty in this one.
Shen Yan didn't care about the gazes of others and walked into the changing room openly. The space in the changing room wasn't large—just right for one person, but a bit crowded for two. Behind the door was a mirror.
At this moment, Wu Yue'er was wearing a gray sweatshirt, her chest looking plump and full, with black shorts on her lower body. The black silk perfectly accentuated the lines of her legs. She asked Shen Yan with a smile: "Hubby, do you think this outfit looks good on me?"
"You're a natural clothes hanger; everything looks good on you," Shen Yan praised her without reservation.
Wu Yue'er smiled sweetly and took off the sweatshirt, preparing to try on another piece. Only then did Shen Yan notice that underneath, Wu Yue'er was wearing a green camisole with thin straps that crossed over her back—the kind without underwire—leaving a large expanse of skin exposed to the air.
For some reason, even though he had seen it countless times, just those few thin straps made a fire ignite in Shen Yan's heart.
He didn't know which designer was such a genius.
He couldn't help but gently stroke her smooth, flawless back. Wu Yue'er's body trembled slightly, and when she turned around, she saw the burning heat in Shen Yan's eyes. She giggled and said: "What are you doing? It's not like you haven't seen it before."
Shen Yan stepped forward and kissed her lightly, his large hands occasionally tugging at the straps or wandering wantonly across her back.
The texture was soft, tender, and silky.
It made one linger and forget to leave.
Wu Yue'er had no resistance to Shen Yan; she opened her mouth to respond passionately, even more engrossed than he was. After their lips parted, Shen Yan had Wu Yue'er turn around again. He reached out to brush aside her dark, silky hair and touched his mouth lightly to her fragrant shoulder.
At the same time, his large hand wrapped around her lower abdomen, and he murmured: "This kind of camisole is quite nice. Let's buy a couple more later."
In the mirror, Shen Yan held Wu Yue'er just like that, kissing her nape, earlobes, and shoulders. Wu Yue'er loved such intimate gestures; her breathing became slightly rapid, and she took the initiative to lift her hands to tie up her troublesome hair.
A look of realization dawned on her face: "So, Hubby, you like this style. I'll go buy some new patterns later then."
"The lingerie is secondary; it's mainly because you, my treasure, look good," Shen Yan said.
Wu Yue'er giggled, turned around, and kissed Shen Yan again. The two kissed passionately in the cramped space.
Considering the inappropriate setting, the two didn't stay in the changing room long. After trying on the clothes, they walked out. Unsurprisingly, they were met with a wave of suggestive gazes.
The two didn't care at all and went straight to swipe their card and check out.
After buying the clothes, the two ran to the cinema on the fifth floor. When they were about to buy milk tea, there were a few couples queuing in front of them. Wu Yue'er pouted and complained: "Have to queue just to buy milk tea."
Shen Yan was also a bit helpless: "They're all young couples out on dates."
Wu Yue'er sighed. She saw the man and woman queuing in front of them; the man looked to be around forty, while the woman was only in her twenties.
So, Wu Yue'er leaned into his ear and whispered: "Hubby, do you believe that woman in front is a mistress?"
Shen Yan had already noticed their presence; they indeed didn't look like a match. The woman was dressed in flashy, gaudy clothes, while the man looked mature and steady, wearing a Longines watch and possessing a rather capable air.
However, Shen Yan had no interest in dealing with such things, so he said: "That's not necessarily true. Can't it be true love?"
"Pfft! Just look at that intimate, lovey-dovey vibe—which proper married couple acts like that?" Wu Yue'er curled her lips.
She pressed her body closer into Shen Yan's embrace, wrapping her arms around his sturdy waist.
Shen Yan found it amusing: "Aren't we just as intimate? It's not that rare."
Wu Yue'er giggled and said: "We aren't a married couple, and besides, our relationship isn't exactly 'proper' either."
Wu Yue'er didn't lower her voice, and the couple in front heard it clearly. They turned back to look at Wu Yue'er—one look was filled with amazement, the other with jealousy.
Wu Yue'er stuck out her tongue cutely and simply turned to bury herself in Shen Yan's arms, choosing to ignore them. The middle-aged man gave Shen Yan a thumbs-up, and Shen Yan returned a smile; everything was understood without a word.
Arriving at the screening hall, Wu Yue'er ate popcorn while feeding Shen Yan, kissing him from time to time and grabbing his hand to place it on her black-silk-clad legs.
This gave her a sense of security and made the two appear even more inseparable.
And so, the night passed.
At nine o'clock the next morning, the two were packed and ready, driving off on the road home.
