Chapter 105: Amusement Park
After leaving the Academy, Qi Yu and Ling Wu did not go to the amusement park immediately; instead, they wandered around a nearby shopping mall, grabbed a King of Lanling doll from a claw machine, and only headed toward the amusement park after finishing lunch.
The two of them, having never been to an amusement park before, were stumped: what should they play first?
Ten minutes later.
Qi Yu and Ling Wu pointed at the carousel simultaneously and said, "This one actually looks pretty good!"
They got on the carousel with many small children, and the staff member turned on the switch; Ling Wu sat on the back of a horse, gripping the handlebar in front with both hands.
Ling Wu heard a little girl with a topknot next to him say, "Handsome big brother, you're so grown up, why are you sitting on a carousel too?"
The other children nearby all chimed in.
"Yeah."
"Yeah."
"Why don't you go play on the roller coaster?"
Before Ling Wu could speak.
Qi Yu leaned over from the side, lowered his voice, and used the tone specifically reserved for talking to children: "I heard that the carousel is the favorite thing for kids to play at the amusement park, so this big brother is just like you."
"Is that so!" the little girl said sweetly: "Then we're all carefree little kids."
Ling Wu rested his head on the back of his hand and curved his eyes: "Mm."
Qi Yu: "That's right."
After the carousel ended, Ling Wu and Qi Yu followed the signs to the roller coaster area; there were many people in line, but since they had bought VIP tickets, they walked through the exclusive lane and got in very quickly.
Qi Yu: "Should we sit in the front?"
He raised his phone and said: "The guide I read online says sitting in the front is more thrilling."
Ling Wu walked to the front with him and fastened his seatbelt, then heard the staff member reminding them of safety precautions: "Please be sure to fasten your seatbelt, check the protective devices around you, such as the shoulder restraints, to see if they are fully lowered and locked, and ensure there is no looseness..."
Shortly after, a few girls walked in, discussing.
"I've never dared to ride this before, I heard it's very scary."
"The feeling of weightlessness is too strong."
"What should I do, I'm so nervous!"
The roller coaster started moving soon after, traveling slowly at first; reaching the high point, Qi Yu turned his face to look at him: "Are you nervous?"
"Mm," Ling Wu said: "A little."
The next second, the roller coaster dove downward, and screams rose and fell from the back rows; Ling Wu felt the intense sensation of weightlessness, the world spinning before his eyes, the nearby scenery twisting into unrecognizable shapes as they turned, the world becoming bizarre and surreal, and at this moment, he could cast aside all distracting thoughts.
【These two are monsters, they didn't even change their expressions!】
【Do they have giant hearts?】
【I'm scared to death just sitting on a pirate ship.】
Three minutes later, the speed of the roller coaster gradually slowed down; Qi Yu and Ling Wu unbuckled their seatbelts and then exited the roller coaster area.
The sunlight was a bit blinding; the two passed by a trendy doll shop, and Ling Wu saw a small sheep doll and couldn't help but stop; Qi Yu followed his gaze and looked over: "Do you want to go in and take a look?"
"Let's go."
The shopkeeper's gaze followed the two of them around, and seeing Ling Wu pick up the small sheep doll, he immediately walked over and said: "Our shop is running a promotion; as long as you wear these two headbands and help take a photo for publicity, you can get the doll for free."
"Would you like to consider it?"
Ling Wu's gaze lingered on the small bear headbands in the shopkeeper's hand, and when he turned around, he saw that Qi Yu had already very consciously put on one of the headbands.
Under the glow of the overhead incandescent light, Qi Yu's soft hair was pressed down by the brown bear, a few stray locks hanging down, his jawline smooth and handsome, his nose bridge high and straight; the school uniform he wore and the headband didn't look out of place at all, the visual effect was extremely strong, creating an ultimate contrast with his usual self.
Ling Wu replied: "Okay."
He took the other bear headband from the shopkeeper's hand, lowered his head slightly, put the headband on his head casually, then brushed aside the hair covering his eyes and asked: "Is this okay?"
The shopkeeper nodded: "Yes, yes!"
【Someone is going to say it now: Baby Ling Wu, why are you so good-looking!】
【Is there a matching set?】
【This little sheep looks so much like the one in Young Master Jin's room in the glass cabinet back at the Jin Family, it's practically identical...】
【Who would have thought that the future world-shaking villain would be in an amusement park doll shop, wearing a bear headband for a free little sheep!】
Qi Yu stared intently at Ling Wu's superior, handsome profile, watching his eyelashes flutter slightly as he blinked; the youth stood against the light, a small patch of shadow cast from his bangs, covering his smooth forehead and half of his clear, straight nose bridge.
His voice sounded inside the shop: "Ling Wu, don't move."
Ling Wu was puzzled: "What's wrong?"
Qi Yu placed his hand on top of Ling Wu's head, his slender fingers pinching the bear ears to lift the headband, his voice calm as he said: "Your headband is a bit crooked, let me adjust it for you."
Ling Wu lowered his head accordingly to make it easier for him to adjust.
Two seconds later.
Qi Yu said by his ear: "All done."
【No, Villain, are you looking at this pair?】
【I didn't see where the headband was crooked.】
【Everyone in this comic has 800 schemes in their hearts!】
【Thinking that you, Villain, get to take a photo with Ling Wu, my wife, makes me so envious and jealous, ahhhhhh... how come you get all the benefits!】
The shopkeeper raised the camera, chose a good angle, and prepared to take their photo.
The two of them couldn't be any more handsome!
If this photo is hung at the entrance for publicity, the effect will definitely be great.
Qi Yu and Ling Wu stood properly, their middle fingers pressed against the seams of their school trousers, looking at the lens with serious expressions, as upright as soldiers!
The shopkeeper poked his head out from behind the camera: "You two, don't be so stiff, your expressions are as serious as enemies; there's no need for a Great Wall of China between you, we can make the pose a bit more intimate."
"Just like friends."
What are friends like?
The shopkeeper, feeling frustrated that they weren't living up to expectations, walked over in two steps, first pushing the two of them until their arms were pressed against each other, then grabbing Qi Yu's sleeve to place his hand on Ling Wu's shoulder, only then nodding in satisfaction.
"Look at the camera, 3, 2, 1!"
The photo was taken.
The shopkeeper was in a very good mood and gave them a doll as a gift: "I'll just give you these two headbands as well. Do you want to keep a copy of the photo? It turned out quite well; you can take it home to keep as a memento."
Qi Yu spoke first, his tone a bit urgent: "Please send it to us, thank you."
"Alright."
The shopkeeper sent the photo to both of them. Qi Yu looked at the exceptionally high-definition and beautiful photo on his phone screen. In the photo, the two were very close; Qi Yu's arm was wrapped around Ling Wu's shoulder from behind, and perhaps due to nervousness, his fingers were slightly curled. Both of them had clear eyes and curved lips, and the little bear headbands on their heads and the wall of dolls behind them made the photo look very warm.
