Chapter 169: Give You One Chance (Abridged Version)
You will regret this...
Only half an hour later, Yin Huaiyu experienced what regret tasted like. Ling Wu was not a good person in the traditional sense; on the contrary, because of his childhood experiences, his expectations for the world were set too low. He did not get angry easily, which gave others the illusion that he had a naturally good temper.
In reality, that was not the case. He was someone who would return every grievance and was ruthless; his merciful side only existed when others had not touched his bottom line and when he had weighed the pros and cons.
In such a closed, isolated situation where Yin Huaiyu had walked right into the trap, Ling Wu could exact the greatest revenge on him within the extreme limits.
Yin Huaiyu had reached his limit. He was stiff as a board, his two hands bound behind his back; trying to struggle only brought more pain. His lips were a bit chapped, and he gritted his teeth and whispered: "Ling Wu... Ling Wu, I feel so terrible."
There was no extra sound in the bathroom, and Ling Wu ignored him entirely.
He just fiddled with his phone, leaving him to hang there for half an hour.
Even with Yin Huaiyu's astonishing endurance, he was nearly driven mad under the influence of such a potent aphrodisiac. His voice was so dry it could smoke, and he began to struggle violently, making the chair creak, the veins on his neck and the backs of his hands bulging, and the water in the bathtub splashed out...
The cloth strips were nearly torn apart by his struggling.
There were faint, drug-induced physiological tears in the corners of Yin Huaiyu's eyes, and he yielded: "Ling Wu, please pay attention to me, I know I was wrong."
Ling Wu took out a hypnotic pocket watch, placed it expressionlessly before his eyes, and said in a coaxing voice: "Knowing you were wrong, what should you say?"
"I will give you one chance."
The sound of the bathtub water overflowing and hitting the floor seemed to be filled with magic, making his feverish body become a little calmer.
Yin Huaiyu's chest heaved uncontrollably, his pupils unfocused, and he gradually went numb. Just as the hypnosis was about to succeed, his eyes instantly became much clearer, his spine pressed against the back of the chair, and he gritted his teeth: "You want to hypnotize me?"
"Hmm?" Ling Wu did not admit it: "I want to make you feel better."
An undisguised smile bloomed on his clear, aloof face, the corners of his brows and eyes curving into an arc.
Ling Wu watched him covered in sweat, stood up, and said: "Let me help you."
Yin Huaiyu did not understand what he wanted to do: "Really?"
"Of course."
Ling Wu removed the showerhead, took it in his hand, walked to the mirror, and struck it with force. The glass instantly shattered into pieces. He squatted down, picked up one of the sharp shards, and used the broken glass to cut a gash in his arm, asking as he cut: "Is it still hot?"
Yin Huaiyu endured the pain, cold sweat pouring down: "Baby, you are truly ruthless."
The stinging sensation effectively offset the desire.
But the drug's effect still remained, so Ling Wu, as if performing a routine task, used the broken glass to cut another gash in his arm.
Yin Huaiyu was nearing a breakdown, but just at this moment, Ling Wu untied the cloth strips binding him. He lost his balance and tumbled from the chair, crawled with difficulty out of the bathtub, and sat on the floor with his back against the tub. He had thought Ling Wu would pass a more cruel death sentence... yet the other party seemed to have let him go?
He groaned in pain: "Ugh..."
Ling Wu half-squatted down to look him in the eye, first petting his head like one would a pet, then stroking his burning cheek with his hand; the cold touch was like drinking poison to quench thirst.
Ling Wu was in complete control of him: "Do you have any feeling?"
Yin Huaiyu had lost too much blood and had long since run out of strength; if not for his good constitution, he would have been tortured into unconsciousness long ago. He lay on the floor, his body twitching incessantly, his feet stretched straight...
Ling Wu held up his phone, aiming it at him: "What should you say to me now?"
