Chapter 238: It's His Husband
The Empire.
Yin Huaiyu accidentally scrolled past a post that was trending on an overseas website. The photo was taken in a classroom, and the young professor on the podium had a handsome face that one would never forget. The cuffs of his white shirt were rolled up to his elbows, and the shot was taken from a low angle, making the legs in the photo appear long and straight. He held a piece of chalk casually between two fingers.
He suddenly straightened his body up from the sofa.
Even if this person were reduced to ashes, Yin Huaiyu would not forget him. He used two fingers to zoom in on the screen, and after seeing the young professor's profile clearly, he felt a joy like recovering something lost: "Ling Wu... you really didn't die!"
He followed the comments section and read through them one by one.
Yin Huaiyu successfully captured the key information, "S University," and immediately dialed a call to his subordinate: "Arrange a private jet immediately; I am going to the Federation."
Ling Wu.
Ling Wu...
Just thinking of this name made his heart feel as if it were filled with honey.
Yin Huaiyu arrived in the Federation at three in the afternoon. Ling Wu's whereabouts were difficult to track; after all, they were in a foreign country, and he could not search for him in a massive, sweeping manner. He could only linger near S University. The students passing by saw him acting suspiciously, and if it weren't for his excessively handsome face, they would have suspected he was a terrorist.
When the Nth gaze was cast his way, Yin Huaiyu looked displeased: "What are you looking at?"
That male student asked: "You've been squatting at our school gate for the past few days; are you waiting for someone?"
Yin Huaiyu originally couldn't be bothered to deal with such a wet-behind-the-ears brat, but upon second thought, he was someone who had come out of S University, so his tone improved slightly: "I'm here to find Professor Ling Wu. Do you have his contact information?"
The student was surprised: "You're looking for the professor?"
"What are you to the professor?"
Yin Huaiyu leaned against a tree, his black Cuban-collar shirt unbuttoned a few times. He wore three silver earrings on his left ear and had a ripped denim jacket draped over him. The muscle lines of his calves became taut due to the way he was supporting his weight on one leg. The whole look made him appear young while also possessing an element of rebellion.
"Me?" His eyes were amorous, complementing the roguish smile at the corner of his mouth: "I am your professor's husband."
The male student's expression changed immediately.
He then crossed his arms over his chest, holding his books, and walked slowly around the tree, sizing Yin Huaiyu up from 360 degrees without any blind spots. His clear eyes were filled with the words "you're bragging."
He clicked his tongue: "You look like a street-roaming hoodlum to me."
Yin Huaiyu: "..."
The head of the Yin Family, who could summon wind and rain in the Empire and held the power of life and death over a major clan, was being called a hoodlum in the Federation. He was so angry he laughed.
But fortunately, heaven rewards the diligent, and Yin Huaiyu really did manage to wait until Ling Wu came to school.
Ling Wu had been transferred back to the Research Institute, but there was still work to hand over at S University. Pei Ziying had cleared the way in advance, and he could leave once he greeted the Principal.
Evening.
As Ling Wu came out of S University, he saw a man with blue hair sitting on the hood of his car with a dashing posture. The back of his denim jacket was printed with a skull, and he wore distressed, acid-washed jeans with frayed edges at the knees. He was wearing a pair of Martin boots, the metal buckles reflecting cold light from the streetlamps. As if he had grown impatient from waiting, he casually pulled a lighter from his jacket to light a cigarette.
His getup was quite young and spirited.
Ling Wu thought he was a student from S University and spoke up: "Student, you..."
The person sitting on the hood turned his head. It was a familiar face, yet Ling Wu did not look overly surprised. He called out: "Yin Huaiyu."
"It's me."
From that distant glance earlier, Yin Huaiyu hadn't seen him clearly, but now that the person he had been longing for day and night was standing right before him, his every gaze meticulously traced Ling Wu's skin. Thinking of the five years Ling Wu had been missing without a trace, he gritted his teeth: "It's good that you're not dead; we still have accounts to settle!"
He walked toward Ling Wu, the metal chains on his body clinking with a crisp sound.
Ling Wu looked at his aggressive demeanor: "What are you doing?"
Yin Huaiyu gripped the back of Ling Wu's neck and proactively pressed his face against him. Their breaths intertwined in an ambiguous and intimate posture. He swept a fierce, unruly gaze at the nearby students and said, half-enticing and half-coaxing: "Professor, open the car door, or I'm going to kiss you right in front of your students."
Ling Wu squinted at him.
Years had passed, and this person was still shameless.
Just as Ling Wu opened the car door, he was pushed into the passenger seat by Yin Huaiyu, who then climbed into the driver's seat.
A low pressure hung inside the car.
Yin Huaiyu rested his elbows on the seat, staring at Ling Wu with naked intensity: "Angry? I haven't even kissed you yet."
"Besides, shouldn't I be the one who's angry? You lied to me for so long, only to fake your death to escape the Empire and live a carefree life all by yourself."
Ling Wu shot him a cold, icy glance: "Do you know what place this is?"
"Fine, fine, fine... I'm truly afraid of you." Yin Huaiyu pressed his palms together as if praying piously for his forgiveness: "I apologize to our Ah Wu. It's my fault for almost polluting this sacred, pure land of the school. Is that enough?"
Ling Wu remained silent.
Compared to Jing Du and Yu Shixue, Yin Huaiyu, who had been the first to find him, was clearly the most troublesome one; after all, he was very difficult to shake off.
Yin Huaiyu was long used to his cold and indifferent attitude; after all, who told him to be such a bastard in the past?
This was the attitude one should have toward a bastard.
Yin Huaiyu loved that cold streak of Ling Wu's to death; he was determined to use all sorts of tricks to make this person respond to him.
He said: "Are you curious how I found you?"
Only then did Ling Wu turn his head to meet his gaze.
Yin Huaiyu understood his meaning and pointed to the location of his heart, answering very improperly: "Of course, it's because... we share a spiritual connection."
He deliberately enunciated the latter words with extreme flippancy.
Ling Wu twitched the corner of his mouth: "Boring."
Yin Huaiyu, who hadn't received the response he expected, was not discouraged. He just asked: "Ling Wu, it's been so long... you wouldn't still hate me, would you?"
