Chapter 139: Dongzi Learns the Truth

~7 min read 1,315 words

When Su Xiyan arrived at the Su family's private club, the outside was tightly surrounded by bodyguards, and security was extremely tight.

But inside the private club it was utterly silent, so quiet it made one's heart pound.

Seeing that the front defense was impossible to breach, Su Xiyan had no choice but to enter through a ventilation duct at the side door.

After making sure no one was around in the darkness, Su Xiyan elegantly tucked her dress at the waist, then leapt up agilely and began climbing up the ventilation duct.

She did not realize that her every move was being watched by a remote surveillance camera.

Watching their mother's graceful yet agile figure, Tangtang and Tiantian exchanged a glance and looked toward their father beside them.

Tangtang whispered, "Tiantian, what do you think Dad is trying to do?"

Tiantian glanced sideways at Yan Moci, and after being precisely noticed, she turned her head and lowered her voice:

"I think he might be trying to stimulate Mom to regain her memory."

Tangtang glared, "But Mom lost her memory because she hit her head in an injury back then—does she really want Mom to suffer that kind of injury again?"

She absolutely would not allow it!

Tiantian shook her head, "I don't think so; he might be trying to deliberately reenact what happened that day."

And from the way he looks at Mom, I don't think he would let her get hurt, right?"

Tangtang tilted her head oddly, "Then how would he reenact it?"

Yan Moci watched the two little radish heads discussing while poking their heads in, and he tapped the table with his distinct knuckles.

"First, little ones should be polite—it's not him, it's Dad."

"Second, with me here, your mother will never be hurt again."

Regarding Yan Moci's persistent insistence on correcting their address, Tangtang and Tiantian couldn't help but exchange a glance and secretly roll their eyes cutely.

Seeing that Tangtang and Tiantian resembled Su Xiyan in every way, Yan Moci couldn't help but curl the corner of his mouth.

This was the first time Tangtang and Tiantian had seen Yan Moci smile like that, and they both froze for a moment.

Looking at him, they thought their dad looked really handsome!

However, as Su Xiyan climbed halfway up the ventilation duct, Yan Moci stood up arrogantly and said, "Stay here and wait; Uncle Dongzi will come to get you shortly."

After saying that, Yan Moci walked toward another room; although he appeared calm on the surface, Tangtang and Tiantian still sensed his urgency in his movements.

Tangtang reached out her little hand to touch her chin, "I think this dad seems quite formidable."

Tiantian looked a little worried, "Should we tell Mom?"

Tangtang shook her head; this time she stood by her dad.

"He could kill Su Yimeng without hesitation, which shows he is definitely not in league with that wicked woman."

"If what Su Yimeng said is true—that Yan Fanqing kidnapped Mom back then—then he and Mom should both be victims."

"No matter how I look at it, I see no reason for him to deceive us."

Tiantian nodded, her beautiful big eyes fixed on the screen, "Then let's just watch for now; if he really intends to harm Mom, we'll step in."

Tangtang nodded, "Mm!"

Su Xiyan finally managed to crawl up to a balcony of a room from the ventilation duct; as soon as she stepped in, she saw Yan Moci bound to a chair inside, being beaten.

Su Xiyan gasped, quickly turned sideways, and hid behind the wall of the balcony window.

She carefully observed the situation inside, hearing the man inside as he beat Yan Moci while speaking triumphantly:

"Hahaha! I never expected the esteemed president of the Yan Group to end up like this today!"

"Being beaten by someone as lowly and despicable as me—how does it feel? Ah!"

Then came the thudding sound of fist to flesh; even hearing it, Su Xiyan felt her teeth ache.

Su Xiyan frowned; she was now anxious to rescue Tangtang and Tiantian, and Yan Moci's situation had nothing to do with her.

Although she hesitated inside, Su Xiyan still prepared to leave.

But the words she heard next made her stop in her tracks.

"Yan President, I never thought you'd go this far to save your two daughters!"

"It's just a shame that your wife knows nothing about these matters—she doesn't even remember you!"

"Hahaha."

Yan Moci curled his lip disdainfully, his voice slightly unsteady, "Shut up—where are those two kids?"

The man went crazy, "Where? Hahaha, Yan President, as long as you obediently listen to Miss Su and serve her happily,"

"we'll soon let you see your two beloved daughters!"

Having never suffered such insult, the corner of Yan Moci's mouth snapped up in anger.

"No one is allowed to hurt them!"

Meanwhile, Su Xiyan, hiding behind the wall, was clearly shaken to her core; she even felt her breath falter for a moment, as if she might fall off the wall.

The man's words stirred up a great wave in her heart, and Yan Moci did not refute them; indeed, his seemingly acquiescent attitude made Su Xiyan even more doubtful.

"How could this be? How could he be the father of Tangtang and Tiantian!!"

"How could she possibly be involved with the head of the Yan family in Jingcheng? Moreover, when she looked at his medical records before, she saw that he had just awakened when she was pregnant—how could she be connected to a man who had been in a vegetative state for five years?"

Just as Su Xiyan thought that, the man's wicked voice sounded again from inside the room,

"Yan President, do you really want to know how we found out about what happened back then?"

"Heh, that kidnapping case back then caused such a commotion; investigating it is not difficult at all."

"Moreover, Su Xiyan is your lawfully wedded eldest daughter-in-law, having attended various banquets."

"Obtaining her photo would be easy; perhaps the only person in the world still kept in the dark is Su Xiyan, who has been overseas for many years."

"Yan President, have you decided? Do you really want to act as the nameless hero who saves people while Su Xiyan knows nothing about it?"

Yan Moci sneered, "You're talking too much."

"Anyone I, Yan Moci, intend to save—even if the heavenly king himself came—could not be taken away."

Whoa~ Seeing this, Tangtang and Tiantian glanced at each other.

However,

Tangtang couldn't help but complain, "Dad, where on earth did you find this little brother? Your acting is really too exaggerated."

When delivering his lines, his facial features were flying all over the place.

Tiantian nodded coldly, "Huh, you didn't see Dad's forehead veins popping several times from sheer frustration?"

After saying that, they couldn't help but glance at each other and started giggling.

They simultaneously called Yan Moci "Dad," as if finally acknowledging his identity.

Dongzi, kept in the dark by Yan Moci, was originally sulking, his mind full of thoughts about whether the boss didn't trust him, and he was actually the last to find out about such a big matter!

But when he had just walked in the door and heard the two young ladies simultaneously call Yan Moci "Dad,"

Dongzi suddenly couldn't help but tear up, and his tiny dissatisfaction with Yan Moci vanished instantly.

He finally understood Yan Moci's intention.

Five years, exactly five years, he really couldn't afford to gamble anymore.

He would not allow any mistake in this matter whatsoever.

A strange sound came from behind; Tangtang and Tiantian turned around simultaneously, and upon seeing Dongzi, such a big uncle, with his eye sockets completely red as he wiped away tears, they suddenly gave him a sweet smile.

Then they simultaneously turned their heads back to look at the screen.
