Chapter 105: Zhou Yinhe's Low Status
Wen Ling lay on his chest, watching the two people being helped away, and lifted her arm to hug Zhou Yinhe's neck.
"Carry me back to the room, I'm so sleepy, I didn't get enough sleep this afternoon, now I'm dazed and can barely keep my eyes open." She muttered, her mouth not stopping until Zhou Yinhe carried her back to the room and laid her down on the bed.
They chatted about many things and many people from all over, including the sister who does architectural interior design and Lu Zhaoye in Mountain City.
"I miss her so much, I haven't seen her in ages; even when she was renovating Lang Po Wan, she only gave me a design drawing."
"I hooked up with her for nothing, and she never contacted me."
"And Lu Zhaoye that bastard, actually holding a grudge to this day, no wonder his dad scolds him."
"You're the best, obedient, clingy, great figure, handsome." Wen Ling gazed dazedly at Zhou Yinhe sitting beside her, wiping her hands, her affection about to overflow.
Her eye sockets were wet, red, and sore; at the moment she closed her eyes, tears slid down the corners of her eyes and dripped into her hair.
She whispered, "I love you so much, yet I feel so sorry for you, always letting you get hurt because of me."
Zhou Yinhe's hand paused, he lifted his eyes to look at her aggrieved face.
"You haven't let me down; I know there's a reason for everything." He said softly, "Getting hurt is my own inadequacy."
"I love you too, even more than you love me." He put down the towel, bent over and leaned toward Wen Ling, his narrow eyes slightly closed, whispering, "Don't leave me."
Wen Ling didn't remember this incident, and she didn't even know when Chu Yao and Fu Huahua had left.
Zhou Yinhe woke up early, sitting boldly on the sofa outside the guest room in the living room, with a solemn gaze fixed on the two doors.
After waking up, Chu Yao stared at the unfamiliar room, unable to react at first; after a moment she realized this was Wen Ling's home, and her brother had called her many times, scolding her on WeChat for not coming home overnight, which instantly sobered her.
She hurriedly washed up and went out, intending to call Fu Huahua to wake up.
Who would have thought, as soon as she stepped out she bumped into Zhou Yinhe staring at her like she was an enemy.
"Can't you be a bit more self-aware? Don't you know she has a boyfriend?"
Chu Yao was startled by her, hearing this she furrowed her brows, puzzled: "What does this have to do with us coming to play with her?"
"You're disturbing us." Zhou Yinhe sneered: "Don't come again; if you want to go out and play, I can provide a venue and cover the expenses, but don't come to my house."
Fu Huahua also woke up; as soon as she opened the door she heard Zhou Yinhe's words, and the two stood at the doorway as if being punished.
Chu Yao, after all, is that arrogant young lady from Sijiucheng, reacting faster than Fu Huahua; she lifted her chin and demanded: "What do you mean 'your house'? This is A Ling's home."
Zhou Yinhe stood up, lowered his gaze at the two, and the chill he emitted could make them shiver even in this hot summer.
"Fine, see if you can still get her out later." He narrowed his eyes, turned and went back to the master bedroom, leaving the two feeling uneasy.
Chu Yao and Fu Huahua exchanged a glance, both seeing the speechlessness in each other's eyes.
They walked downstairs together, whispering as they went.
"Everyone outside says he has a bad temperament, and it turns out it's not false."
"Yeah, yeah, his older siblings have such good personalities, why is he like this? Could it be that Mrs. Zhou left her bad temper when giving birth to his older siblings, and it all ended up with Zhou Yinhe?"
"That makes sense, I think so too."
"I don't want to leave; I want to see A Ling."
"I don't want to either, but didn't you just hear what he said? If we don't leave, he won't let Wen Ling come see us anymore."
"Do you think Wen Ling will listen to him? His family status is pretty low, right?"
"……"
The two said they didn't believe it, but their steps didn't stop; they met Aunt Zhou at the gate, Aunt Zhou urged them to stay for breakfast, they politely declined, and their pace quickened as they walked away.
Zhou Yinhe returned to the room; Wen Ling was still asleep, unaware that her two close friends had been driven away by just a few words from Zhou Yinhe.
Zhou Yinhe lay beside her, hugged her into his arms, and let out a sigh.
"Why isn't she waking up yet? He misses her so much."
Wen Ling didn't comply with his wishes; she slept straight through until one in the afternoon before waking.
Zhou Yinhe was about to take a nap; seeing her awake, he complained gloomily: "Why did you wake up so late?"
Wen Ling blinked her eyes and mumbled, "Sleepy."
"Hug me, hug me." Zhou Yinhe pressed his lips, wanting her to return the embrace.
Upon hearing his tone that sounded both aggrieved and coquettish, Wen Ling couldn't stand it; she reached out and hugged his waist, and as she got close she sensed something was off.
"How...?"
Zhou Yinhe rubbed against her, aggrieved: "I miss you."
"……" Wen Ling retracted her arms to get up, but before she could fully pull them back, Zhou Yinhe yanked her back and pressed her beneath him.
"You don't feel sorry for me."
"I don't feel sorry for you? You forgot what happened last time at the hotel——"
Before Wen Ling could finish, Zhou Yinhe cut her off, acting shameless: "That time was an accident; this time I definitely won't be like that."
"I don't believe it." Wen Ling certainly didn't believe his nonsense.
"There's an old saying in Hua Guo, something like 'a man's word is reliable, a sow can climb a tree'—I think that's how it goes."
Wen Ling braced her hands against his front, firmly refusing: "Get up, you're crushing me to death; do you know how heavy you are?"
At that moment Zhou Yinhe relaxed, his whole weight pressing on her; a tall, sturdy man lying on Wen Ling made her feel she could barely breathe.
"I don't know, you weigh me." Zhou Yinhe just wouldn't get up.
Wen Ling bit her lip, amused by his shamelessness, suppressing a laugh: "If you won't get up, how can I weigh you?"
"I'm lying on you, you weigh me." Zhou Yinhe brazenly buried his face in front of her and let out a satisfied sigh.
"Ling Ling, soft."
Wen Ling's cheeks were flushed from his teasing; she gritted her teeth and pinched his ear tip, fiercely saying: "I'm about to get angry; if you really have energy to burn, the fitness room is right next door, hehe."
Zhou Yinhe pretended not to hear, kept rubbing, and Wen Ling had to say: "Fine, you don't have to get up; I'll call Uncle Zhou later and have him send you to Second Uncle Zhou tomorrow for a month of extra training."
"……" Zhou Yinhe swiftly sat up, while rising he complained: "You're just coaxing me; you said you loved me last night, and now you're bullying me."
Wen Ling didn't remember saying that; she sat up and lunged onto his back, asking: "When did I say I loved you?"
Last night, you said that while drunk.
"That was a lie, I don't love you at all." Wen Ling tilted her head and stared at his face. Sure enough, as soon as she finished speaking, his face darkened.
Wen Ling couldn't bear to tease him any longer, she rubbed her own ears and cheeks, and softly said, "I didn't lie to you; I love you; I love you the most."
"You say that now, I don't believe it anymore." Zhou Yinhe let out a soft snort.
