Chapter 3: I'll See Whose Moans Are Louder

~7 min read 1,290 words

"I don't know, I'm not clear." Zhou Yinhe didn't want to say.

The two saw his state and also didn't continue asking.

The private room door was suddenly pushed open; everyone inside looked over and froze for a moment.

The girls were shocked by the beauty of the girl at the door, while the two men were even angrier.

"Wen Ling?"

Wen Ling stood at the door, raised her hand and waved at the two, greeting: "Hey, long time no see."

Upon hearing that, Zhou Yinhe straightened up abruptly and looked at the person standing at the door.

Qi Zhan, whose temper was always violent, sprang to his feet, furious, and was about to walk to the door when Jiang Jibai stopped him.

"Why are you stopping me? I never hit women before, but today I'll make an exception!"

"Can't you see Xiao Wu's expression? Does that really look like you don't love him anymore? You're about to beat Wen Ling—aren't you afraid Xiao Wu will turn against you?" Jiang Jibai advised, giving him a look to have him look at Zhou Yinhe.

Wen Ling didn't mind the two's displeasure toward her; she extended a slender finger, pointed at the man still on the sofa, and said: "I'm looking for him."

Zhou Yinhe frowned tightly and snapped: "What are you here for?"

Wen Ling walked over; the few steps gave her an alluring grace. She sidestepped the fiercely staring Qi Zhan, sat beside Zhou Yinhe, and cooed: "I just got back, heard this place is fun, knowing you're here I came over to say hello and chat."

Zhou Yinhe pulled the pretty girl standing close over, held her in his arms, and told Wen Ling: "You're disturbing me."

Wen Ling blinked, eyes smiling, and said: "No problem, I can keep you company together with her."

Zhou Yinhe stood up, looked at Wen Ling in disbelief, and said: "Say that again?"

Wen Ling lifted a leg, propped her chin with one hand, stared at him without changing expression, and repeated: "I said, I can keep you company together with her."

Zhou Yinhe snorted, pulled the pretty girl over, put his hand on her waist, and sneered: "I wouldn't dare let Miss Wen keep me company—I have Yanyan, that's enough."

Yanyan: My name is Ningning…

She didn't dare say it, but she could see Zhou Yinhe was deliberately angering this bright, flamboyant girl in front of him; having finally managed to get close to the Zhou family's young master, she gladly leaned in, wrapped her arms around Zhou Yinhe's waist, and softly said: "Fifth Young Master, let's go—Yanyan already booked a room in the next hotel."

Zhou Yinhe glanced at Wen Ling, put his arm around Yanyan, and left.

Wen Ling eased the sour feeling rising in her chest; she knew full well Zhou Yinhe was doing this on purpose to anger her—even if he really wanted to find someone, he wouldn't just grab anyone at random—but she still couldn't help feeling upset inside.

Seeing the two leave, Qi Zhan sneered: "Do you really think he can't live without you? Without you, he still has Ruan MiaoMiao, and countless girls lining up."

Wen Ling glanced at him, stood up and suddenly laughed, lightly jabbing with a soft remark: "Has Master Qi caught Zhao Xingtang yet?"

"You!" Qi Zhan was indeed angered by her, about to step forward when Jiang Jibai stopped him.

Jiang Jibai coldly warned Wen Ling: "Miss Wen, I don't know what you intend by coming back this time; please stay away from Xiao Wu, otherwise the Zhou family and we won't let you off."

Wen Ling tugged at the corner of her mouth, turned and chased after Zhou Yinhe, leaving behind the furious Qi Zhan whose hair seemed ready to explode, and Jiang Jibai staring at her like a venomous snake.

Zhou Yinhe, arm around Yanyan, had just reached the bar door; fearing Wen Ling might follow, he didn't let go of her hand. Yanyan laughed especially wantonly, and when she saw her sisters from the same group looking over, she returned a smug smile.

As expected, Wen Ling quickly caught up, extending her hand to block Zhou Yinhe's path.

"Zhou Yinhe! You can't just be with someone else to spite me!"

Zhou Yinhe had long since calmed his racing heart, smiling with a curled lip as he looked at her.

"How I want to be with others is none of your business, Miss Wen."

Wen Ling pressed her lips, stepped forward, softened her tone, and said: "Zhou Yinhe, let's talk properly, okay?"

Zhou Yinhe directly refused: "I have nothing to talk to you about, Wen Ling. I told you from the start that after breaking up we wouldn't be together again, and you said you had no regrets."

Wen Ling cursed the author in her heart, but on the surface she appeared aggrieved: "I had my reasons back then, I just couldn't tell you."

Zhou Yinhe just thought she was making excuses, put his arm around Yanyan, and left.

Wen Ling caught up again, stood behind him stubbornly, and said: "Zhou Yinhe, if you dare go to a hotel with her today, I'll go grab a guy off the street too! I'll book a room right next to yours—let's see whose moans are louder."

Hearing that, Zhou Yinhe's steps paused, and he tossed off lightly: "Suit yourself."

Wen Ling pouted, her eyes red-rimmed, looked resentfully at his back; the bodyguard hurried forward to comfort her: "Miss, don't be upset—he's definitely doing this on purpose to anger you."

"You, you go follow him—whatever hotel he wants to go to, book all its rooms!"

The bodyguard she designated wondered: "What if the Zhou family's Fifth Young Master brings a woman home—could I still buy their house?"

But seeing the miss's pitiful expression, he could only repeatedly agree: "Okay, okay, okay, I'm going now."

The others looked at him with sympathy; he glared at a few of them, then ran after Zhou Yinhe.

Wen Ling calmed the anger aroused by Zhou Yinhe's few words, got in the car, and called the man far away in M Country.

The man probably hadn't woken up yet; it took a while to answer, and as soon as he did, Wen Ling's tearful voice came through.

"How can he anger people like this! Why do I have to chase him back?"

The man reacted a moment, then spoke, his voice full of drowsiness: "What did you do again? Didn't I tell you to take it slow?"

Wen Ling pursed her lips: "I can't hold back."

The man said: "Even if you can't hold back, you still have to endure; you can't keep throwing yourself at him, or he'll develop reverse psychology. You went to Hua Guo not just for him—have you settled the Ruan MiaoMiao matter?"

"No..." Wen Ling then came to her senses, having been muddle-headed by Zhou Yinhe's anger, forgetting her other proper business.

"According to your memory's plot, Zhou Yinhe still thinks of you over there—take it slow with him; right now, Ruan MiaoMiao is the top priority."

Wen Ling softly sighed: "Addled by his anger." She finally remembered the important matter: "I had people check—there's a two-day anniversary celebration; Ruan MiaoMiao, feeling proud and pleased, will surely go, and I'll go too."

"Alright, done talking?" The man seemed to roll over, making a rustling sound, and drawled: "When you're done, I'll go back to sleep—I just fell asleep not long ago and you called, you've exhausted me."

Although the man couldn't see, Wen Ling still gave a small eye-roll and said speechlessly: "Watch out for kidney deficiency."

The man gave a humored chuckle: "You'd better worry more about Zhou Yinhe's kidneys."
