Chapter 72: It would look even better if you changed into women's clothing
He always looked at Wen Ling with infatuated eyes; when Wen Ling drew near and saw his gaze clearly, she directly straddled Zhou Yinhe's leg, swept her hair to one side, lowered her eyes and kissed him.
Zhou Yinhe bit her lip, grinding slowly with his teeth, unwilling to let go.
Wen Ling laughed softly, her slender fingers pinched the skin at the back of his neck, and only then did Zhou Yinhe release her.
"Every time you have to bite me." She bumped her chin against his shoulder, teasing: "Haven't you gone a while without meat? Want a taste of something meaty?"
"Yes." Zhou Yinhe's voice hoarse, he whispered: "But not the kind of meaty you mean."
Wen Ling understood instantly, she slapped his back hard, got up from his leg, and looked at the row of paper bags on the table.
Zhou Yinhe explained: "I bought these yesterday while waiting for you; I asked my older sister-in-law, they're all best-sellers, I don't know if you like them."
Wen Ling glanced at him in surprise, knelt on the carpet and opened the paper bags one by one, her eyes and brows lighting up with a smile.
"I like them."
Zhou Yinhe breathed a sigh of relief, sat cross-legged with her on the carpet, took the sandalwood box and handed it to her, whispering: "This is something my grandfather prepared for me when I was born, meant for me to give to my future wife; just now, when I returned home, my mother gave it to me."
Wen Ling froze for a moment, opened it and then paused.
She asked curiously: "Do you have many of these antiques at home? The one you gave me last time was like this, and this one is too."
Zhou Yinhe said: "The bracelet I gave you last time I bought at an auction, it's relatively recent; this one is much older."
Wen Ling blinked, hesitant: "This is something your grandfather wanted you to give to your future wife; giving it to me might not be appropriate, right?"
"Why not? You are my future wife." Zhou Yinhe gave a light snort.
Wen Ling bit her lip, then tentatively accepted it.
She ordered Zhou Yinhe to fetch a mirror, sat on the carpet and tried lipstick and other makeup on herself.
Zhou Yinhe sat cross-legged beside her, watching her try; he had merely been curious, but didn't expect Wen Ling to fix her gaze on him.
Wen Ling twisted her body, pinched his chin, turned it to examine him, then said: "May I try putting makeup on you?"
Zhou Yinhe opened his mouth to refuse, but Wen Ling gave him no chance; she shifted her position, they sat cross-legged facing each other, and she began with the base makeup.
He is naturally fair-skinned, already white enough without base makeup, but Wen Ling, to tease him, still took a powder puff and patted it on his face over and over.
As eyeshadow went on and lipstick was applied, Wen Ling drew him an extended eyeliner line, and curled and lifted his lashes with the curler.
The final effect left Wen Ling stunned; she held Zhou Yinhe still so he wouldn't move, then picked up her phone to take a close-up photo of his face.
Zhou Yinhe held her phone to stop her from taking the picture; Wen Ling pressed her red lips slightly, looking a bit aggrieved, whereupon Zhou Yinhe conceded.
"Go ahead and take it." He sighed.
Wen Ling got excited again; not only did she want to take the defiant-face photo, she also wanted him to cooperate with poses. After shooting, she regretted: "If you changed into women's clothing, it would look even better."
Zhou Yinhe hugged her, complaining aggrievedly: "You're going too far."
Wen Ling couldn't stop laughing; facing him, she clung to his body, flipped through the photos behind his back, and only after she had her fun did she pull Zhou Yinhe to the washroom to remove makeup.
After removing makeup, Wen Ling applied her own skincare to him; Zhou Yinhe smelled the faint fragrance in the skincare, his expression showed some resistance, yet he couldn't refuse.
After Wen Ling finished with him, she lowered her head and kissed his eyes.
Zhou Yinhe recalled the message Ke Chengyu had just sent, and asked her: "Ke Chengyu and the gang are inviting me to go racing at Xishan; will you come with me?"
Wen Ling lowered her eyes, thought for a moment, and agreed.
Zhou Yinhe then replied to Ke Chengyu's message, saying he would go and would also bring Wen Ling along, quite proudly.
Ke Chengyu wasn't surprised by this, replied with an OK emoji and said: 【We've already arrived; come early, let's have dinner together.】
Zhou Yinhe replied with an okay, and the two hugged for a while before Wen Ling pushed him away.
"I'll go change into the outfit we'll wear to play together." Wen Ling placed her finger against Zhou Yinhe, who was about to hug her again, refusing his excessive clinginess.
Zhou Yinhe had no choice but to let go; Wen Ling lightly patted his head like rewarding an obedient puppy, then turned and left.
She chose a Western-style outfit: a lace fishbone top and matching leather skirt, then added a short leather jacket; seeing this, Zhou Yinhe felt a surge of sourness.
Wen Ling tiptoed to hug him, softly asking: "Doesn't it look good? I specially picked it to match your car."
Before changing clothes, Wen Ling had asked him what color his car was.
Flattery works though it's deceitful; Zhou Yinhe indeed wasn't sour anymore, he lowered his head and imprinted his lips on her neck, where there remained the mark he had left the previous night.
Zhou Yinhe has his own dedicated race car and racing suit, both stored at the Xishan Club; so he didn't change clothes, directly drove and took Wen Ling to Xishan.
The Xishan racing club was built by this group of young masters chipping in money; its facilities are top-notch, they even hired a top-tier chef—not only to let these young masters have fun, but also to eat well; they're not after profit, just after enjoyment.
When they arrived, dusk had deepened; the club's restaurant has three glass-walled viewing windows, one of which faces the parking lot.
Inside, the lights were bright; one could see many people, and even some women in revealing outfits, at the moment leaning against men.
Wen Ling got out of the car, saw the scene and raised her eyebrows slightly; Zhou Yinhe felt a bit guilty, his frat-boy friends when they play often have a woman in the passenger seat, and sometimes vulgarly use their own passenger-seat woman as a betting stake.
Although Zhou Yinhe has never participated in that, his car refuses to let anyone else touch it—not even his childhood friends who grew up with him can borrow it for a lap, let alone have a strange woman sit in the passenger seat.
But birds of a feather flock together; he feared Wen Ling might think he's like that, and hastily explained: "I've never let them touch my car, not even the exterior; I swear."
Wen Ling today only wore a pair of ankle-high flat boots; at this moment she was noticeably shorter than Zhou Yinhe, she lifted her gaze to him, the corners of her eyes slightly lifted, she tugged at the corner of her mouth and said lightly: "Best that it be this way."
The two walked into the restaurant together; when the door was pushed open, an eerie silence fell inside, they both looked at the two people standing at the entrance, and couldn't help but exclaim in unison a "wow".
They had just heard Ke Chengyu say that tonight Zhou Yinhe would bring his girlfriend along—that girl who three years ago devastated him, whom he couldn't forget for three years, and three years later made him kneel as a simp, his white moonlight.
They all wanted to see her, so none of them went to play; instead they waited together in the restaurant.
At this moment, seeing the person herself, everyone present—except a small minority with complicated feelings—couldn't help but praise her; truly, she deserves to be the woman who makes this heavenly-favored prodigy willingly become a simp.
If it were them, they'd also want to be that!
Zhou Yinhe ignored them, took Wen Ling's hand and walked to the table where Ke Chengyu was seated, introducing: "You've met those few already, but you probably haven't met this one."
