Chapter 1524: General General Wu Di pit

In the past, in front of so many princes and nobles, where was his turn to speak? But following He Xiao, after several times, others didn't feel abrupt.

Gu Xuan also said: "Yes, this internal flooding has been flooded for decades, it can't be changed! Once the flood season comes, river and lake water will backflow into people's homes."

He Lingchuan had long collected these intelligence, but at this time he pretended to be ignorant and surprised: "Then expand it, is there any taboo? The Yao Nation is strong and the treasury is full, isn't such a small matter as expanding the capital city easy?"

Zhang Zhan waved his hand: "Big has big difficulties, Island Master He, you don't know, our national treasury has been in deficit for years. The accounts of the past six years have not been positive."

This is not a secret, there is nothing that cannot be said.

He Lingchuan was startled: "Really? The Yao Nation is still in deficit, then other countries in the Shining Gold Plain can live?"

"Such a big country, there are too many places to use money. In the past six years, you ask them, and you know that the national treasury deficit does not necessarily mean that the people's livelihood is withered. However, many new big jobs cannot be done. Like the expansion of Tianshui City, such a big project is a bottomless pit that swallows money, and no matter how much you throw in, it won't be filled. You say, can the Royal Court not hesitate?"

When he said "bottomless pit", everyone present understood what it meant.

"Then it has to be expanded anyway, late expansion is not as good as early expansion." A few years later, the national treasury will be more deficit.

Of course, He Lingchuan didn't say his heart words, but smiled: "Since it has been discussed many times, is there a direction for the expansion plan?"

"There are several plans, roughly divided into west, north, and east directions, all of which have conditions for expansion."

Youhu is in the east of Tianshui City. He Lingchuan picked a bunch of grapes and washed them in the gold basin on the table: "The King tends to which plan?"

"Originally thought of going west, but recently we have been discussing the possibility of eastward expansion."

To the east? "Related to Youhu?"

Zhang Zhan scolded with a smile: "You are narcissistic!"

But he didn't deny it.

The south bank of Youhu is being developed, and now the popularity is very high, and it will become a place where officials and nobles gather in the future. If Tianshui City takes advantage of the trend to expand there, the foundation is good.

"Everyone agrees with eastward expansion?"

"Of those present, five-tenths agree, two-tenths oppose, and the rest don't express their views. Compared with previous meetings, this proportion is already amazing." Of course, the decision-making power is with the Yao King.

He Lingchuan laughed, very clear why the ministers suddenly changed their attitude:

Many of these people have already purchased refined residences in Youhu Villa.

In order to keep the value of the property they bought at a high price, they would also hope that Tianshui City would expand eastward and include the entire Youhu Lake.

This is the so-called XX determines the head.

"What about the Regent?" Important court discussions, Qingyang basically won't be absent.

"The Regent opposes, believing that it is labor-intensive and money-wasting, and it is not suitable for large-scale construction when the national treasury is empty. This is also the reason for other opponents."

He Lingchuan smiled, eating a grape, well, sour and sweet, very tasty.

What he thought in his heart was, why does Qingyang oppose the expansion of Tianshui City?

On the surface, this matter has no harm to Qingyang, and it even has no substantial relationship with her.

Is she opposing for the sake of opposition, just to add blockage to the Yao King?

Political struggle is like this, sometimes it doesn't necessarily benefit oneself, as long as the opponent is damaged.

After all, the struggle between Qingyang and the Yao King, or the tug-of-war between Beijia and the Yao Nation, should be in all aspects.

He Lingchuan smiled on the surface: "Labor-intensive and money-wasting? Do you believe it, if I handle the expansion of Tianshui City, I don't need to consider the problem of insufficient funds at all, and I can even fill the national treasury in reverse!"

Zhang Zhan didn't believe it at all, pointing at him and laughing: "Big talk! Island Master He, did you drink too much?"

"I'm serious." He Lingchuan pointed to the east, "You look at me building Youhu Villa, how much is the cost, and how much has this earned?"

The crowd knew the price he got the land, a mere 1,000 taels.

Even if the profit has to be handed over to the majority, there is still 30% left in the end!

He earned in one month what others earned in ten lifetimes, the process is equivalent to empty-handed white wolf.

Zhang Zhan whispered: "Brother He means, Tianshui City eastward expansion also uses this method?"

"Right," He Lingchuan smiled, "Isn't this what I am doing, collecting everyone's money first, and then building refined residences for everyone? No need to pay for it yourself! It doesn't matter how much silver I have in my pocket originally, even if it's only ten coins, I dare to take this project!"

He leaned forward: "If Tianshui City eastward expansion adopts this method, where does it need the national treasury's money? Whether the national treasury is in deficit or surplus, what does it have to do with the expansion of the capital city?"

Zhang Zhan and Gu Xuan's eyes flickered, and they almost said "The monarch also thinks so".

If the Yao King hadn't seen He Lingchuan's method of empty-handed white wolf, how could he plan to expand the city to the east? He Lingchuan smiled again: "The streets and alleys are discussing Youhu Villa, and the popularity is very high. If you take this opportunity to launch the eastward expansion plan, it will be known to everyone in a few days, saving a lot of trouble." Marketing is hard work, it just so happens that Youhu Villa still has popularity, rubbing against his own wave, isn't it good?

The Yao King pondered without speaking.
