Chapter 31: They are the three older brothers
Several people had finished eating; it was already 6:30.
They sat in the restaurant for a while before getting up to leave.
Mu Youyu stood with Jiang Liangjin on her left and Liu Wanwan on her right, while Yu Ci and Gu Xingnan followed closely behind.
Not long after they went out, Yu Ci received a call; after everyone waited for him to finish, they saw a hint of helplessness on his face.
"I have something at home, I need to go back first." Yu Ci apologetically glanced at everyone, though his eyes showed some annoyance.
Gu Xingnan frowned and said, "Yu Cheng is bothering you again?"
Few people annoy A Ci, but recently Yu Cheng has become one of them.
Yu Cheng is an illegitimate son of the Yu Family and is one year younger than Yu Ci.
After Yu Ci's biological mother passed away, Yu Cheng was taken back to the Yu Family; he now bears the title of Young Master of the Yu Family and is called Young Master Yu Cheng.
Why isn't he the Young Master Two? Because Yu Ci refuses, thinking he is unworthy, and Father Yu naturally goes along with it.
However, Yu Cheng believes the Yu Family's property belongs to him, so he contests everything with Yu Ci.
Now Father Yu has just returned to the country; Gu Xingnan guesses that Yu Cheng said something, which is why Yu Ci received a call from Father Yu.
Gu Xingnan, Jiang Liangjin, and Mu Youyu have known each other for a while, so they naturally know about this matter concerning the Yu Family.
Yu Ci snorted derisively, his tone mocking: "Exactly."
Considering there was an outsider present, Gu Xingnan didn't say more, only: "I'll go with you."
Yu Ci lifted his eyes: "That works."
"We two will leave first! See you tomorrow!" He said that and then left with Gu Xingnan.
Jiang Liangjin and Mu Youyu responded.
Not long after, Jiang Liangjin returned to the Jiang Family, and Mu Youyu took Liu Wanwan back to the Mu Family.
Mu Family.
Jingxi Manor.
A pink sports car sped along the manor's roads.
The road was wide, with neatly trimmed hedges on both sides, dotted with colorful flowers around.
As the car moved forward, exquisite buildings appeared like precious works of art, gradually coming into view.
These buildings varied in style—some simple and elegant, others luxurious and magnificent—all displaying the owner's refined taste and substantial wealth.
As night fell, looking through the car window, one could see the huge castle of the noble manor encircled by warm, soft lighting.
The light made the car's high-end glittering rhinestones sparkle, looking extremely beautiful.
Although Liu Wanwan is a young lady from A City, A City ultimately lacks the prosperity of C Shi.
So, as she gazed through the car window at the castle inside the manor, she stared a bit and asked, "Youyou, is this your home?"
The castle's princess?
Mu Youyu calmly replied: "Yes."
Liu Wanwan's curiosity was fully aroused, and she pressed on, asking, "Youyou, are you really the legendary eldest daughter of the Mu Family?"
Although she had already confirmed it.
The driver up front looked a bit like a gang boss; at first he called her "Youyou, Young Lady!"
With so many rhinestones surrounding her in the car, she must have status!
And she lives in such a huge manor! Such a huge castle!
And she grew up with the young master of C Shi, especially Young Master Jiang!
Given this status, plus her surname Mu, she can only be the eldest daughter of the Mu Family.
Mu Youyu nodded, narrowing her eyes; she wasn't surprised that her friend had guessed correctly, after all she had also seen Jiang Liangjin and the others today: "Yes."
Liu Wanwan asked somewhat nervously, "Are there people at your home?"
Mu Youyu said cheerfully, "My parents are traveling outside, my brothers aren't home today; feel free to stay with me for a while."
The driver up front drove slowly, and eventually the car stopped in front of the castle.
The driver opened the car door and calmly said, "Young Lady, please get out."
Mu Youyu got out of the car naturally, and Liu Wanwan followed closely beside her.
The two walked toward the central castle.
The castle's main gate slowly opened; inside, lights blazed, magnificent and splendid.
After entering the hall, Liu Wanwan was stunned by the sight: dozens of huge crystal diamond chandeliers hung from the ceiling, illuminating the entire space.
The living room held many vases that looked aged, yet there was no dust.
Several servants were busy, but upon seeing Mu Youyu, they stepped forward, their faces breaking into standard smiles as they greeted her and Liu Wanwan.
It was obvious they had been trained.
At that moment, a butler in uniform stepped forward, slightly bowed, and said, "Welcome home, Young Lady. Who is this?"
Saying that, he looked toward Liu Wanwan.
"Uncle Yun, this is my friend, surnamed Liu," Mu Youyu introduced.
"Oh, you're the Young Lady's friend. Hello, Miss Liu," the butler said with a smile.
"Hello," Liu Wanwan replied politely, and then they had nothing more to say.
Qing Ma stepped forward and said honestly, "Young Lady, the Eldest Young Master and the Second Young Master are not here today."
Mu Youyu wasn't surprised; Mu Nian is always busy, and the Mu Family has recently been occupied with overseas business collaborations, so he's probably on another business trip.
Mu Xi is usually out.
Moreover, the two of them would even talk to themselves.
"Okay, Qing Ma, I understand."
Butler respectfully said, "Miss, Miss Liu, rest a moment; dinner is ready, I'll come call the miss."
Mu Youyu nodded, pulling Liu Wanwan to sit on the sofa.
Some fruit was placed on the table in front.
Now there are no outsiders, Liu Wanwan's eyes brightened, losing a bit of the arrogance she had outside, "You and Jiang Liangjin aren't something like an engaged couple, are you?"
The voice was full of curiosity.
Mu Youyu heard this, first startled, then raised her voice to retort: "What are you saying! We're still young!"
She doesn't have a fiancé, although when she was young the elders in the family indeed betrothed her and Jiang Liangjin as childhood sweethearts.
But... so many years have passed, no one has mentioned it anymore.
She paused, then explained softly: "We're just family friends, and I and he are nothing more than childhood sweethearts!"
Mu Family's servants heard it, were startled, and all lowered their heads.
Aren't the miss and Young Master Jiang having a falling out?
Also because of this she went to A City to study, and as a result Young Master Two rarely returns home.
They also count as getting the highest pay for the easiest work!
However, now hearing what the miss's friend says, the two seem to have reconciled.
So, the miss and Young Master Jiang will soon have something going on.
Liu Wanwan covered her mouth and laughed, "I was just asking casually, why such a big reaction from Miss Mu?"
After saying that, Liu Wanwan also stopped teasing her, somewhat enviously saying: "Youyou, your two brothers both dote on you, right?"
The Mu Family's only miss, with two older brothers above her, who wouldn't envy this status?
Mu Youyu extended her index finger and swayed it left and right: "There are three older brothers."
Liu Wanwan:?
Does the Mu Family have three young masters?
She won't have misremembered, right?
Mu Youyu spoke conservatively: "Well, speaking of older brothers, there's also my twin brother."
Liu Wanwan reacted, eyes bright: "Twins, you guys look exactly alike, right?"
Mu Youyu smiled: "Quite alike."
Liu Wanwan wailed: "Ahhh, I'm so envious, what to do, three older brothers!"
Now there's material for daydreams!
