Chapter 379: Don't Let Me Go
Mu Xianqi responded: "Yes, she'll return to Y Guo in a few days; we'll leave first."
He had temporarily handed Mu Xianyan's affairs to Ruo Ya; compared to investigating the heartless parents who abandoned her years ago, he was still more worried about his sister's matters.
Qing An gave a light "cough", then spoke again to shoo them: "You go back now, I'm leaving."
"Don't rush." Qing Wei's gaze shifted to Mu Xin beside him, his expression turning more solemn as he said in a low voice, "This time Qing An is going over, please keep an eye on him and don't let him cause trouble everywhere."
Mu Xin's face was calm, his tone showing no emotion: "Hasn't he caused enough trouble already?"
Qing An immediately objected, "When have I ever caused trouble!"
Everyone remained silent.
Qing An slumped his head, dejected, and muttered, "Fine, I won't speak."
After Qing Wei's words were not yet finished, Ruo Ya reached out and patted her brother's shoulder, saying solemnly, "When you get to Y Guo, don't cause them trouble."
Being nagged by his brothers and sisters, Qing An frowned, his face full of discontent: "Why do I feel like you all treat me like a child?"
Ruo Ya raised an eyebrow and retorted, "Otherwise? Who just told me, this sister, that he's a child and wants candy?"
Qing An was left speechless.
Song Lujing tapped the ground with his toe, wearing a look of watching the fun, while Song Yan chimed in from the side with an exaggerated tone: "Wow, a twenty-year-old giant baby."
Qing An didn't bother to argue with someone younger than him.
Mu Youyu had seen enough, she hooked Jiang Liangjin's fingertip and said, "Let's go, let's go, we should board the plane."
Those words drew everyone's attention back; Qing Wei showed reluctance but didn't linger further, saying, "Go, have a safe journey."
Ruo Ya stepped forward, hugged Qing An, and said, "Take care of yourself; contact me anytime if anything comes up."
Qing An, unusually, didn't object and gave a soft "hmm."
Song Yusui raised an eyebrow: "Don't be clingy; it's not like there's no one to look after him over there."
Qing An had nothing to say.
Mu Xianqi gave Ruo Ya a brief hand signal and said, "We're leaving."
"Alright, next time let me know in advance when you come."
Qing Wei reminded helplessly, "Hurry up, if you delay any longer, once our parents chase after you, you won't be able to leave even if you want to."
Qing An let out a "humph" and followed his sister onto the plane.
Behind them, Qing Wei and Ruo Ya stood in place, seeing off the group as they walked toward the convoy.
Ruo Ya sighed wistfully, "How long has Qing An just been back? And Mingxi also rarely stays long; I really hate to see them go."
Qing Wei stood beside her, his gaze on the distance, tone flat: "It's not like they won't come back."
"That's true." Ruo Ya withdrew her gaze, tilted her head toward him, and said, "You say this time Qing An goes to Y Guo, will he cause trouble again?"
"With Ah Xin around, it should be fine."
Ruo Ya chuckled charmingly, "You say that as if Ah Xin were his nanny."
Qing Wei didn't respond.
Ruo Ya looked at his tense side profile, then shook her head, "Alright, stop pretending; you're also reluctant in your heart."
Qing Wei didn't deny it, turned and walked away, saying, "We're leaving; we still need to comfort our parents when we get back."
A few hours later, the plane landed at the Y Kingdom Royal Family's dedicated apron.
Outside the porthole, the sky was dull and overcast, the clouds hanging low, as if it were about to snow.
Mu Youyu was awakened by Jiang Liangjin, she opened her eyes and met his gentle gaze.
"Have we arrived?" she asked, her voice a little muffled.
"Yeah, we're here." Jiang Liangjin reached out and put a small hat on her.
Mu Youyu had already changed out of her formal attire into everyday clothes; she sat up straight, rubbed her eyes, and looked out the porthole.
At a glance she recognized this as the exclusive apron of the Y Kingdom Royal Palace, and standing in the center of the apron was Duke Leke La·Peiweika, her maternal grandfather.
Because the itinerary of this trip was kept secret, he had only two attendants behind him.
Seeing her grandfather, Mu Youyu's drowsiness vanished instantly as she ran over, shouting, "Grandfather!"
Jiang Liangjin followed behind her, watching her joyful back, the corners of his mouth lifting.
Qing An rose from the opposite side, stretched, and said, "Finally arrived."
Mu Xin closed his book, stood up, and followed behind his sister.
Mu Xi, Mu Xianqi, Song Lujing, Song Yusui, Song Yan, and Jun Chenling rose one after another, and the group filed out in single file.
The boarding ramp was lowered, a cold wind blew in; Y Guo's winter is milder than M Guo's, but only slightly.
As Mu Youyu just stepped out of the cabin door, the wind made her shrink her neck.
The next second, a warm coat was draped over her shoulders; she turned her head to meet Jiang Liangjin's smiling eyes.
Mu Youyu smiled sweetly, didn't refuse, and obediently wrapped herself in the large coat, stepping down the ramp step by step.
At the bottom of the ramp, Duke Leke La·Peiweika had already come forward to meet her.
"Grandfather!" Mu Youyu hurried down the last few steps and threw herself into his arms.
Duke Leke La·Peiweika steadied her, his aged hand gently patting her back, "Good child, you've returned."
Mu Youyu murmured against his chest, "Grandfather, I've missed you."
Duke Leke La·Peiweika's eyes held a touch of indulgence, "You've missed your grandfather? Then why did you stay in M Guo for so long?"
Mu Youyu lifted her head from his embrace, speaking with conviction, "It's because Brother Qing An wouldn't let me go!"
Qing An, who had just stepped down the ramp:?
He hadn't even had time to retort when Duke Leke La·Peiweika's gaze swept over him.
Qing An instinctively moved to hide behind Mu Xin.
Mu Xin expressionlessly shifted aside to make room.
Qing An: "……"
Jun Chenling laughed from behind.
Le Ke La withdrew their gaze, eyes falling on Jiang Liangjin, "A Jin!"
Jiang Liangjin stepped forward, bowed slightly, "Hello, Grandfather."
Le Ke La nodded, didn't say anything more, turned their gaze to Mu Xi and the others, "Everyone's here? You must have had a rough journey."
Mu Xi nodded, "Grandfather, it's not hard."
Mu Xianqi greeted as well, Song Lujing and Song Yan also politely called out, Song Yusui stood at the back and waved at the old gentleman.
Le Ke La responded to each in turn, finally looking at Mu Youyu, their tone softened a bit, "Let's go, we'll talk more at home, it's cold outside."
Mu Youyu nodded, was led forward by their grandfather with an arm around their shoulders.
After a few steps, she suddenly remembered something, turned to look at Qing An, "Qing An, big brother, you didn't say you'd take me to eat something good?"
Qing An's spirits lifted, he immediately stepped out from behind Mu Xin, "Yes yes yes! Grandfather, I'll take my sister out shopping tomorrow!"
Le Ke La glanced at him, their tone revealing no emotion: "We'll talk about it tomorrow."
Qing An always felt that his grandfather's attitude toward him was a bit subtle.
Jun Chenling walked up to his side, lowered their voice: "You're done for."
Qing An glared at him, "What do you mean I'm done for?"
Jun Chenling gave him a look that said 'suit yourself,' then said nothing more and walked on with the group.
Qing An stood in place, watching his sister being led away by their grandfather, then glanced around at the brothers passing by, each with different expressions.
He decisively stepped forward, moved to Jiang Liangjin's side, lowered his voice to ask for help: "Hey, A Jin, what's wrong with me? Why does Grandfather seem to dislike me?"
It's only been a few dozen days since we last saw each other!
Jiang Liangjin turned their head, showing him only an inscrutable expression: "I don't know."
