Chapter 389: I Don

~4 min read 675 words

Mu Youyu's mind involuntarily flashed back to that sentence she had heard repeatedly from people around her since middle school——Nan Feng's management is comparatively looser than Lan Lin's.

After she collected herself, she typed four words: 【I'll think again.】

Jiang Liangjin replied just as quickly: 【Okay, take your time. But it's not early now; Youbao should rest, right? Aren't you going out tomorrow?】

Mu Youyu glanced at the time; it was clearly still early, but she was also tired, so she didn't send many messages, replied with 【Good night】, tossed her phone beside the pillow, and lay down again.

Mu Youyu was woken by her phone alarm; it was already 8:30 a. m.

After washing up and going downstairs, she found the elders weren't there, and didn't see Mu Xianqi either; he probably went to the company.

Mu Xi and Mu Xin were sitting together, whispering something; seeing their sister come down, they both looked up, their gazes falling on her.

Mu Xin arched a smile in praise: "Dear, you got up really early."

"I'm heading out," Mu Youyu replied, her voice soft and sleepy, with a just‑woken lazy drawl.

Mu Xi glanced sideways, "If you've decided about transferring schools, I'll handle the paperwork ahead of time."

Mu Youyu answered without hesitation, "I'll tell my second older brother tonight."

Mu Xi hadn't expected to get a definite time; she slightly lifted the corners of her eyes, "Then I'll be looking forward to your good news, little sister."

Song Lujing sat at the dining table, a bowl of porridge before him; seeing his sister enter, he immediately waved, "Sis, sit here!"

"Morning, sis," Song Yan said, turning sideways to whisper to the person beside him; hearing the voice, he lifted his eyes, curled his lips, and looked at his sister, his hand still resting on the other's shoulder, his posture affectionate and casual.

The other person's expression didn't change.

Following her gaze, Mu Youyu finally saw Lu Yuchu, whom she hadn't seen in weeks, looking much more spirited, "Yuchu brother, how did you come here?"

Lu Yuchu brushed aside Song Yan's hand, "Of course I came to see my sister—is M Guo fun?"

"Not bad," Mu Youyu said, seeing her brother after weeks apart; she still missed him, but didn't go to sit by the older brother, instead taking a seat beside him.

She didn't notice at all the subtle glances the brothers were throwing her way.

Song Lujing thoughtfully brought a bowl of porridge to his sister's front; Mu Youyu took the spoon, swallowed a mouthful of porridge, and softly asked, "Yuchu brother, aren't you busy today?"

Lu Yuchu lifted his eyes to her, "It's fine; I'll be going out later."

Mu Youyu's eyes filled with pity, "Brother, you work so hard."

"Then sweetheart, you can persuade your brother Yan more, let him share some of my burden." Lu Yuchu smoothly tossed the topic to Song Yan beside him.

Song Yan, who had been about to praise his brother, stopped speaking.

Song Lujing struggled to hold back his laughter.

Lu Yuchu shifted his target, adding, "Or little Jing would work too, as long as they're from the Song family—I don't mind."

Song Lujing put down his spoon and fell silent.

Mu Xi began lowering her head to play with her phone, trying to minimize her presence, putting on an act of "I didn't hear anything."

Besides his sister, Lu Yuchu had always doted on Mu Xi and Mu Xin, and hadn't dragged them into this matter.

"……"

A sound came from the doorway; Mu Youyu looked over and saw Jiang Liangjin walk in, stop beside her, and say in a warm tone, "Morning."

Mu Youyu lifted her plain face, the smile in her eyes growing richer, "A Jin, good morning—have you had breakfast?"

"I have," Jiang Liangjin glanced at the breakfast on the table, "take your time, no rush."

Song Lujing leaned in, "A Jin, are you going too?"

"Yes."

He let out an "oh," didn't ask further, and kept his head down, drinking his porridge.
