Chapter 481

~6 min read 1,052 words

When Mu Youyu and Jiang Liangjin arrived, the venue outside was already packed with people.

Banners and flags spread everywhere, and several layers of security could barely hold back the enthusiastic crowd.

Red fluorescence swayed continuously in the crowd, fans held up their phones and kept shooting at the entrance.

Several large fan-organized support vehicles were parked outside the venue, their bodies plastered with Song Yan's posters, and the LED screens rolled his photos and blessings.

Song Yusui stood a bit farther away, the corner of his mouth hooking a careless smile, "Usually he dislikes trouble, but today he's quite good at holding up the scene."

Lu Yuchu glanced at him indifferently, "He's only nineteen."

Song Yusui shrugged, "At nineteen I never had such a big scene."

Lu Yuchu: "At nineteen you were busy skipping class in M Guo, and that time you didn't come to my birthday, what could I do?"

Grandpa gave him a big birthday party last year, but Song Yusui wouldn't come no matter what.

"Where was I? At nineteen I wasn't busy running a small company to support my little brother~"

"Leave that line for grandma to say; one word from her and your small company would collapse."

Song Yusui clutched his chest, "No way, Yuchu, you're ruthless; you forgot how brother back then found resources for you…"

Mu Youyu and Jiang Liangjin sat in the center of the front row, with Mu Xi, Mu Xin, and Song Lujing to their left and right.

The rice was left at home by the servant; Qing An originally wanted to bring it to join the fun, but Mu Xin dissuaded him with one sentence: "Cats would be startled by the flash."

The stage lights came up, the host finished the opening, and Song Yan walked onto the stage in a red outfit.

The moment the boy took off his mask, the whole crowd shouted his name in unison, the momentum nearly lifting the roof.

He began to sing, choosing Lu Yuchu's debut song, and the fans' screams below were deafening.

Feng Cen, who had taken time off to watch the performance, was the most excited, waving his support sign continuously.

Mu Youyu sat in the guest section, looking at the radiant person on stage, naturally happy for him.

Song Yan's dream since childhood was to stand on the stage.

One segment followed another, Song Yan's words were modest and his sense of proportion just right.

After much waiting, it was finally time for the cake-cutting birthday segment, and Song Yan's gaze swept back and forth between Mu Youyu and Lu Yuchu.

Everyone held their breath, and Lu Yuchu's figure appeared on the big screen.

When Lu Yuchu appeared on stage, the fans' screams below surged in decibels: "Ah, Lu Yuchu is alive!"

Mu Youyu blinked, raised her phone, and seriously captured the frame of the two together on stage.

"……"

After the birthday party ended, Mu Youyu and Jiang Liangjin went backstage to greet him.

Song Yan was sitting at the makeup mirror removing his earrings when he saw them come in, the corner of his mouth curling slightly, "How's it going, baby?"

"Brother is too handsome." Mu Youyu handed over the gift.

Song Yan put it on the table, "Thank you, baby."

Mu Youyu smiled, and Jiang Liangjin answered for her, "You're welcome."

Mu Yichi truly couldn't stand the crowds, almost blocked from entering, simply put down his and his brother's gifts, then quickly slipped back to the lab.

The birthday party ended perfectly, and the next day several people went first to Y Guo.

The plane landed at the Duke's Mansion of Peiweika in Y Guo; Grandma had arrived two days earlier and was already staying at the mansion.

When Mu Youyu entered, she was sitting on the sofa holding a cup of clear tea, with a few plates of delicate snacks on the coffee table in front.

Hearing the commotion, Grandma looked up and said a lot of nice things.

Mu Youyu responded a few times, asking, "Grandpa?"

"He's handling affairs at the palace."

Mu Youyu nodded; behind her, Jiang Liangjin, Mu Xin, Mu Xi, and Qing An remained silent.

Jun Chenling popped out from somewhere, grabbed Mu Xin in a hug, "Ah Xin, long time no see!"

Grandma looked at the two with a gentle smile.

A few seconds later, Mu Xin pushed him away, "Be steadier."

Jun Chenling released his hold, "Alright."

Qing An gloated over the misfortune, and Jun Chenling couldn't be bothered to pay him any mind.

Not long after, Lin Ning also arrived; upon entering she grabbed Mu Youyu's hand, wanting to go see the school together.

Lin Ning had connections; all application requirements were met, so she could directly enroll in the international freshman program there when school started.

Mu Youyu was initially surprised to hear that she had chosen the Royal Drama Academy.

The academy was a half‑hour drive from the mansion; all the brothers stayed behind and didn't come along for the fun.

Arriving, Lin Ning flipped the school map over and over, asking, "Which way is the drama academy? My sister took me last time but I forgot to check the route."

"I've never been here, I don't know." Mu Youyu glanced up at the institute; the building wasn't new, having a touch of classical air.

Jiang Liangjin silently downloaded Tomato Navigation and quietly looked up the route.

Occasionally students came and went at the gate, hurrying, most wearing uniforms, likely the school's attire, which looked quite nice.

Lin Ning pulled her along as they walked in, pointing out things along the way, "My sister said she'd buy a place nearby for me to make schooling easier; uh, this area is still pretty……"

Mu Youyu followed behind her, occasionally responding, and that last bit of reluctance in her heart gradually faded.

After walking around, Lin Ning stopped at the doorway, glanced back at the gray‑white building, and said, "All right, we've seen it, let's go."

Jiang Liangjin stood off to the side holding an umbrella, pitifully quiet.

Mu Youyu got into the car behind her, asking, "Ningning, when will you officially come over?"

Lin Ning gave the date: early September, about the same as the domestic school start.

Having gotten the answer, Mu Youyu said nothing more.
