Chapter 515

~5 min read 955 words

Mu Youyu turned her face sideways; Jiang Liangjin was already standing behind her.

He placed one hand lightly on her shoulder, his gaze sinking onto the boy ahead, exuding an oppressive presence.

The boy saw that this person shared a distinctive hair color with the pretty junior, his smile froze for a moment, "This is……"

His words trailed off, but the meaning in his eyes was already clear.

Jiang Liangjin didn't answer, merely tilted his head to glance at Mu Youyu, voice gentle: "Are you okay?"

Mu Youyu shook her head, handed him the sketchbook, and said lightly: "He bumped into me and even called me blind."

Jiang Liangjin put his arm around her shoulder, then turned his gaze back to the boy's face.

Seeing the situation, the boy, fearing he might rush over and beat him, instinctively stepped back half a pace: "I'm blind, I'm blind—I was running too fast and didn't watch where I was going; it wasn't intentional, I already apologized."

"Is an apology useful?" Jiang Liangjin retorted.

The boy choked a little, his smile finally slipping, the corners of his mouth turning down: "Then you want to call the police?"

Mu Youyu reached out and tugged at Jiang Liangjin's sleeve: "Forget it, forget it, it's not a big deal."

Just after the school term began, they stirred up controversy that hit campus gossip—not a dignified matter.

Jiang Liangjin swallowed the words he had been about to say: "Next time, watch where you're going."

"Got it, got it, see you later, junior!" the boy said, walking ahead, his steps much slower than when he came, and after a few steps he glanced back once.

Mu Youyu frowned: "What is he looking at?"

Jiang Liangjin turned his body to block that gaze: "Maybe he's taking one last look."

Mu Youyu didn't understand that remark, she tilted her head slightly.

Jiang Liangjin didn't explain: "Let's go, Second Brother is waiting."

Mu Youyu was led forward by him: "Didn't you say you didn't need to come pick me up? Why are you here again?"

Jiang Liangjin, who had just swung by the company: "If I didn't come, you'd get harassed."

"There's nothing that exaggerated."

The two walked out of the side path; there were noticeably more students on the main road than before.

Mu Xi saw the two at the music school gate; noticing Jiang Liangjin's poor state, she, who was already in a foul mood, glanced over and asked: "What's up? Who bothered you?"

What expression are you putting on? It's an eyesore.

Seeing him ask, Mu Youyu's mouth corners twitched slightly.

Mu Xi's heart softened, she turned her gaze: "Who made the baby unhappy?"

Mu Youyu linked her arm with his: "No one, where's Brother Lujing?"

Song Lujing and Gu Xingnan both enrolled in the computer science major.

Mu Xi patted her head: "He went back to the villa to sleep."

He owns a villa less than two kilometers from C University, located in a residential community; before the semester started, a few of them had already planned to stay there.

Mu Youyu had originally planned to sleep in the dorm last night, but on the way she compared the villa and immediately abandoned that idea.

Jiang Liangjin and the other family members, upon learning this, all breathed a sigh of relief.

Mu Youyu: "How is he sleeping again? He just woke up."

Jiang Liangjin was also puzzled; Song Lujing wasn't like this in high school either.

Mu Xi relayed: "He said that after eating, one should sleep."

Mu Youyu resigned: "All right, then let's go; A Ci and A Nan said they're going shopping."

"Okay, get in the car."

On the other side, the boy who had been watching the pretty little girl walk away clutched his chest half‑covered: "Ah! His true love."

A palm suddenly slapped his back; he turned his head to see his roommate holding two drinks, handing one over: "Yo, little Xiaozhi, what are you staring at? You've lost your soul."

Jiang Xiaozhi took the milk tea, his gaze still glued in that direction: "Just now I ran into a junior girl, she was extraordinarily pretty."

His roommate followed his line of sight and glanced over, seeing only the flowing crowd, nothing special: "Which one?"

Jiang Xiaozhi recounted what had just happened.

Hearing the girl's traits, the roommate hesitated: "Is the junior you're talking about the one wearing a diamond necklace around her neck, exceptionally fair‑skinned, like a fairy descended to earth?"

Jiang Xiaozhi nodded vigorously, becoming excited: "Do you know her?"

The roommate looked at him as if he were an idiot: "Mu Youyu, the eldest daughter of the Mu family, who scored full marks on this year's college entrance exam."

Jiang Xiaozhi's expression turned priceless; he only plays games and doesn't go online, but that doesn't mean he completely doesn't know who Mu Youyu is.

The roommate added another sentence, not hard to detect the schadenfreude: "The guy who blocked you, Jiang Liangjin, is your childhood fiancé arranged by the two families; provoke him and he can make you disappear from C City with a flick of his finger."

He didn't care whether he provoked him, and still went on to curse his fiancée as blind!

Jiang Xiaozhi's mouth twitched, he forced a retort: "What childhood engagement? What era is this?"

The roommate slapped his shoulder hard, half‑smiling: "If you want to give it a try, I won't stop you—good luck."

Jiang Xiaozhi fell silent for a moment, shoved the drink into his roommate's hand: "I'm not drinking, I'm leaving."

"Drink or not, I've indulged you."

Jiang Xiaozhi walked off without looking back, his roommate shouting from behind: "Where are you going?"

"Going back to sleep."
