The executives lowered their heads to flip through documents, not a single person exposing the Special Assistant's explanation full of holes.

Jiang Liangjin actually found it a bit funny; he really wasn't anything, it's just that this Special Assistant reacted quickly and took the blame in passing.

The Finance Director cleared his throat, about to resume the topic just interrupted, but Jiang Liangjin raised a hand to stop him.

His voice returned to its steady meeting tone: "Continue, Director Liu, break down the quarterly budget shortfall a bit more and submit it in three proposals."

Director Liu's data charts on the projection screen started rolling again, and the meeting room's atmosphere returned to normal.

After the meeting adjourned, Jiang Liangjin was the last to walk out of the conference room.

The Special Assistant followed at his side, deliberately slowing half a step, preparing to choose his words carefully.

But he heard the company chairman speak in a flat tone: "This month's bonus will be doubled."

"Thank you, Chairman Jiang!" The Special Assistant almost couldn't keep his expression, thanked repeatedly, then quickly exited.

He felt relieved inside that his reaction this time was worth it.

When Jiang Liangjin pushed open the office door, the inside was livelier than expected.

Several boxes of delicately packaged snacks were already set out beside him.

"How did you get in?" Jiang Liangjin closed the door and spoke calmly.

Yu Ci didn't turn his head: "Your assistant opened the door, saying to let me wait for you in the lounge. I'm hungry, and you know how long your meeting runs; if I don't replenish some energy I'll pass out. By the way, why is everything here what Youbao likes to eat?"

He pulled the last box of strawberries from the fridge, waved it in his hand, and said, "I was wondering why I couldn't find a decent piece of meat after searching for so long."

Jiang Liangjin walked to the sofa and sat down, saying, "Why should I prepare what you like to eat? This is all prepared for her; if you're hungry, there's an employee cafeteria downstairs."

Yu Ci put the strawberries back in the fridge, seemingly dismissing them as not substantial enough.

He then grabbed a box of pudding from nearby, tore off the lid, and scooped out a big spoonful, saying, "Come on, my good buddy came all this way to see you, and you're making him eat cafeteria food? This pudding is pretty sweet."

"Who's like you, hungry first thing in the morning and specially running to my company to mooch meals?"

Jiang Liangjin picked up the tablet on the table, swiped with his fingertips, and casually retorted.

Gu Xingnan finally lifted his eyes and added gently, "He didn't eat breakfast this morning; he rushed out too quickly."

Jiang Liangjin glanced at Gu Xingnan, who returned an innocent look.

He realized, these two came as a package.

Yu Ci made a "tsk" sound, scooped another spoonful of pudding, leaned in a bit, blinked, and said, "Youbao didn't come with you today? I still wanted to ask her about that mineral."

Jiang Liangjin countered, "You're still interested in that?"

"A bit."

Gu Xingnan isn't interested in rocks; he's more concerned about the ensuing trouble: "How's the handling of that online matter going?"

Jiang Liangjin replied to the message, "Youbao went to A City to handle it; she's now on her way back."

"Why didn't you go with her?" Gu Xingnan exclaimed, given Jiang Liangjin's nature, he should personally oversee this sort of thing.

Jiang Liangjin also thought, "When I woke up, she had already arrived in A City."

Yu Ci actually hadn't fully understood the online incident himself; it was Gu Xingnan who recently sent him a condensed version.

He smacked his lips, scooped another spoonful of pudding, and said, "I think those people are just bored, but how would they know to put a mosaic on you? Their eyesight must be poor; didn't they see Youbao already sitting in the car?"

Jiang Liangjin snorted derisively, "They must have a grudge against Youbao's friends."

Yu Ci narrowed his eyes, "Alright, just remember to make your move clean, leave no loose ends."
