Extra: Childhood 11

After staying in Class 1 for a month, Mu Youyu gradually figured out the class's operating rhythm.

The homeroom teacher's language class was the most honest time for the whole class.

Class monitor Gu Xingnan had little authority in this class, always quiet, relying entirely on Yu Ci to shout back and forth.

Lin Ning didn't like attending any of the classes.

Mu Youyu didn't want to spend too much effort on socializing; in class she only played with Jiang Liangjin and Lin Ning, and remained indifferent to others.

Her after-school time was packed with various courses, weekends basically filled too, all because she signed up for what she liked, but the schedule was chaotic, entirely depending on her mood that day to decide which course to take.

That Saturday afternoon, the lessons ended much earlier than usual, and Mu Youyu still had plenty of energy.

She drove out of the garage in her own children's car, pink-white body, with a matching-color bow tied on the steering wheel.

The front of the car was painted with a chubby cartoon cat, just enough to fit her and Jiang Liangjin; it was specially ordered by Song Ningsheng for her birthday this year.

She tapped the passenger seat, "A Jin, come up, I'll take you for a drive."

"Okay!" Jiang Liangjin opened the car door, got in, and obediently buckled the seat belt.

The bodyguard followed not too far, not too close behind.

Jiang Liangjin asked, "Where are we going?"

Mu Youyu looked at the Future Path, "We're going to find Song Lujing, my big brother, and also, big brother said, when driving we can't talk."

"Got it." Jiang Liangjin thoughtfully.

The car wound along the estate's small path for ten minutes before entering the gate of the neighboring secondary estate.

Song Lujing lived in this secondary estate; he was seven this year, in second grade, his parents were often away, and only a nanny and a butler stayed at home.

The nanny kept changing; he found them annoying and drove them away. Last month he came to Jingxi Estate on his own for a visit and refused to go back.

Song's grandmother finally decided to let him stay at the Mu Family for a while; Song LuXiao also lived here, but he was in fifth grade, usually leaving early and returning late, so more often only Song Lujing was at home.

When they arrived, Song Lujing was sitting on the sofa eating starfruit; upon seeing his little sister, he exclaimed delightedly, "Little sister! How did you come?"

Mu Youyu pulled Jiang Liangjin over and ran, "Song Lujing, my big brother, I was afraid you'd be bored, I came to play with you!"

Song Lujing was moved, "Little sister, you're really good!"

"Yes." Mu Youyu had a clear self-awareness; she was a very good little sister.

She tilted her head to look at him, "Big Brother Lujing, why don't I have a little sister?"

Song Lujing was puzzled, "You are the little sister."

Jiang Liangjin also nodded repeatedly in agreement.

"That's different; I still don't have a little sister!" Mu Youyu shook her head. "I want a little sister! I want someone I can dress up, braid her hair, put her in little dresses, and have her call me big sister!"

Song Lujing didn't know how to answer this question, looking to Jiang Liangjin for help.

Unfortunately, the other party was sitting upright and had no intention of joining the conversation.

Song Lujing could only say awkwardly, "But… you're already the little sister; you can't be the big sister anymore."

"Then you can be the little sister." Mu Youyu came up with a good idea, "You're older than me, but I can treat you as my little sister."

Song Lujing:?

At that moment, a warm voice came from the doorway: "Wait, I'll lure one over for you."

Song LuXiao held his schoolbag, obviously just returned from school; he was a head taller than Song Lujing, with a handsome appearance and a gentle demeanor.

Song Lujing looked up, "Big brother, why did you come back?"

"It's Friday today." Song LuXiao walked over, his tone indulgent when facing the little sister, "Youbao wants a little sister?"

Mu Youyu let out an "Mm!" and began stating her requirements: "Pretty, obedient, and will call me big sister."

Song LuXiao's gaze slowly slid onto Jiang Liangjin, who warily shifted to the side.

He chuckled, crouched, and lowered his voice: "Look at that one over there, he's pretty handsome; want him to be the little sister?"

Mu Youyu followed his gaze to Jiang Liangjin, tilted her head, and examined him seriously.

Jiang Liangjin instinctively sensed a hint of danger.

Mu Youyu hammered it out, "Can do!"

Under Mu Youyu's soft and hard persuasion, Jiang Liangjin was eventually lured into the room.

Half an hour later, Jiang Liangjin walked out of the room.

A light gold wig, wavy curls, was placed over his originally neat short hair; Mu Youyu tugged left and right to adjust it for a while, finally securing it barely.

The little crown was a gift Mu Youyu received on her birthday; she rarely wore it, but now she generously clipped it onto his head.

She also changed him into a lace princess dress, the hem falling below his knees, making his small face look even more delicate; paired with his pursed‑lips, unsure what Expression to make, it added a touch of pitiful charm.

Song Lujing covered his mouth, shoulders trembling, but didn't dare laugh too loudly.

Song LuXiao held up his phone, aimed the camera at the sofa where Jiang Liangjin sat, and took a photo openly.

Mu Youyu clapped her hands, admired him for a while, and thought her childhood friend was really handsome.

Jiang Liangjin saw the two big brothers' Expressions, couldn't take it, reached up and snatched off the crown, hesitating, "Does this crown have to be worn?"

"Must!" Mu Youyu hurriedly snatched the crown back and put it on again, "A princess must wear a crown!! You can't take it off; if you do, you're not a princess!!"

Hearing her shout so loudly, Jiang Liangjin swallowed the "no" back down.

Song Lujing finally burst out laughing, then hid behind his big brother.

After Song LuXiao finished taking the last photo, even Jiang Liangjin looked much more pleasing to the eye; "I'll keep this photo well."

Jiang Liangjin gazed at him with an unchanging expression, and Song LuXiao smiled even more brightly.

Mu Youyu circled around him a few times, quite satisfied, waved her small hand, "From now on, you are the princess of Jiang State, and I am the king!"

At that moment, Jiang Liangjin felt an unprecedented pressure, "But…"

Mu Youyu covered his lips, "You can't speak, or else you'll expose that you're a fake princess!"

Song Lujing immediately took over the act: "Right, we can't expose ourselves—pretending to be a princess will get us arrested!"

Song LuXiao threatened: "You have to listen to my sister now, or else she won't like you."

Jiang Liangjin kept quiet, playing the mute princess for the whole afternoon.

The midterm exam results were posted Monday morning, the report cards went up on the bulletin board, and the students swarmed forward.

Mu Youyu and Jiang Liangjin sat in the back row, not rushing to get up.

After the crowd in front thinned out, Mu Youyu also learned her score from her classmates.

She was first place, with perfect scores in all major subjects.

Second was Jiang Liangjin, ten points lower than her.

Gu Xingnan came in third, six points below Jiang Liangjin.

Lin Ning's name appeared at the bottom of the score sheet, exactly fourth from last.

Lin Ning herself didn't mind much; she was lying on the desk folding paper airplanes, heard her sisters announce her score, didn't lift her head, and said, "Not bad—ten points higher than I expected, Mom will probably praise me."

Mu Youyu took the paper airplane from her hand, unfolded and refolded it, then put it back on her desk, saying, "I praise you too, Ningning is awesome—if you don't understand something, you can ask me."

Lin Ning let out an "oh," not sure if she'd heard it at all.

Gu Xingnan saw his score, his expression calm, giving no hint of joy or worry.

Yu Ci was half-studying, half-playing, his grades in the middle range, "When you go back, Uncle Gu will definitely be pleased."

Gu Xingnan just grunted "uh," with no intention of saying more.

After school that day, most of the students in the class had already left.

Mu Youyu was detained by the teacher, who said there was a competition registration form to fill out.
