Chapter 506: Mountain-Sitting Guest: Now That's Interesting

"Demon Ancestor!"

Prison King bowed slightly in greeting, then asked, "I heard the Meng Yao Zu suffered a great loss at the hands of that human race?"

"That's right!"

The Prison Race Demon Ancestor quickly spoke: "The human race not long ago fought their way into the core territory of the Meng Yao Zu, directly slaying five Universe Masters of the Meng Yao Zu, including the Lord of King King Nianjiao and the Lord of Qing Ming, and even a clone of the Lord of Xue Zan fell!"

"What?"

Upon hearing the words of the Prison Race Demon Ancestor, an expression of shock inevitably appeared on Prison King's face.

After all, the Lord of Xue Zan's strength was in no way inferior to his own, yet the other party had actually fallen even within the Primordial Universe.

Still, Prison King was not overly worried by this matter. After all, due to the nature of his life essence, his divine body possessed characteristics akin to a supreme treasure, virtually indestructible, and in terms of survival ability he was certainly far stronger than the Lord of Xue Zan.

"Prison King!"

The Prison Race Demon Ancestor looked once more toward Prison King's direction, then said seriously: "Next, there will surely be a great war erupting between the Meng Yao Zu and the human race, and even the Insect Race and Mechanical Race may intervene. So this matter is also an opportunity for our Prison Race!"

"I understand!"

Prison King quickly bowed and said: "Demon Ancestor, whatever plan you have, just give the order!"

"Good!"

Hearing Prison King's words, a look of joy quickly appeared on the Prison Race Demon Ancestor's face: "Then first recall our Prison Race's Universe Masters, and have Prison King lead them!"

"Once a suitable opportunity arises, our Prison Race will also go to that core territory to claim a share!"

"No problem!" Prison King quickly nodded and said.

……

Crystal Race, within a resplendent, crystal-clear grand temple.

At this moment, the great hall was arranged in a circular layout, with crystal-clear thrones distributed throughout, fifteen thrones in total, and from the arrangement one could not discern any hierarchy among them.

And upon these crystal-clear thrones sat, one by one, the super powerful experts of the Crystal Race.

These Crystal Race experts all possessed what could be called perfect faces; regardless of gender, they all had bodies forged of crystal, as if condensed from the essence of the universe, appearing exceedingly perfect.

Moreover, at the brow of each of these Crystal Race experts was a golden eye, continuously emanating astonishing pressure.

Fourteen Universe Masters, and one strongest being of the universe — these were the most esteemed experts of the Crystal Race!

The Prison Race and the Crystal Race had contended for endless ages; originally both were merely rather formidable powerful races.

At that time, the strongest of the Prison Race was Prison King, while the strongest of the Crystal Race was the Crystal Race Holy Lord, who was still at the level of a Universe Master.

Later, amid endless slaughter, the Prison Race Demon Ancestor was the first to break through to the level of the universe's strongest being, and at that time he was even on the verge of completely annihilating the Crystal Race, this hostile force.

But at this critical juncture of the race's survival, the Crystal Race Holy Lord likewise broke through to the level of the universe's strongest being, and only thus did the stalemate with the Prison Race continue.

"News has come from the race's experts!"

The Crystal Race Holy Lord surveyed the Crystal Race Universe Masters around him, then said mildly: "The Meng Yao Zu has just suffered a great loss at the hands of the human race, with five Universe Masters actually falling directly. What are your views, everyone?"

"Holy Lord!"

Hearing this, a Crystal Race Universe Master below quickly spoke: "Although we have occasionally had conflicts with the human race and the Meng Yao Zu, all along there has been no great clash between us!"

"I feel that this war between those two great peak races, regardless of who wins or loses in the end, actually has no impact on us!"

"I, on the other hand, feel that this is an opportunity for our Crystal Race!"

Another Crystal Race Universe Master quickly spoke: "With the human race and the Meng Yao Zu erupting into war, regardless of who wins or loses in the end, both sides are bound to suffer heavy losses!"

"The four great peak races occupy the most core territories of the universe. This time, our Crystal Race may well be able to claim a share from among them!"

"Heitao, what you say is wrong!"

Hearing this, a Crystal Race Universe Master nearby quickly spoke up in rebuttal: "Although the territory occupied by our Crystal Race is somewhat more remote than that occupied by the four great peak races such as the human race and the Meng Yao Zu, it is extremely suitable for our Crystal Race. There is simply no need to clash with them over territory!"

"That's right! Those four great peak races are very difficult to provoke. If we actively intervene, we will easily become the target of their joint attack!"

"I feel we should still hold our forces and remain still!"

"I feel we should still set our sights on the Prison Race, so as not to suffer a great loss at their hands!"

"Exactly! Compared to the four great peak races, the Prison Race is the greatest enemy of our Crystal Race!"

For a time, one after another, the Crystal Race Universe Masters were all voicing their own thoughts.

"Enough!"

After hearing the thoughts of the Crystal Race's Universe Masters, the Crystal Race Holy Lord quickly spoke: "Our Crystal Race shall first sit on the mountain and watch the tigers fight!"

"However, during this period, we must also keep a constant eye on the Prison Race's movements, so as not to suffer a loss at their hands!"

"Yes!"

After hearing the Crystal Race Holy Lord's instructions, all the Crystal Race Universe Masters nodded in unison and replied.

If the wars and hatreds between the four great peak races were mainly due to territorial issues, then the contention between the Prison Race and the Crystal Race was due to the innate natures of their respective races.

Just as ordinary water and fire cannot coexist, so too was it between the Prison Race and the Crystal Race. There was no great territorial conflict or conflict of interest between them, yet the hatred between them was in no way inferior to that between the four great peak races.

……

Because of the war between the human race and the Meng Yao Zu, virtually all the major forces within the Primordial Universe were alarmed.

Among them, super forces such as the Prison Race, the Crystal Race, as well as the Starry Sky Beast Alliance, the Beijiang Alliance, and the Zushen Sect, were still able to discuss the matter, because their overall strength was in no way inferior to that of the human race and the Meng Yao Zu.

However, apart from the Prison Race, which was minded to seize the opportunity to occupy a portion of the core territory, the other major forces did not have many thoughts on the matter.

Among them, forces like the Zushen Sect and the Starry Sky Beast Alliance did not occupy any territory at all, and naturally were happy to sit back and watch the show.

As for the Beijiang Alliance, although they too wished to seize this opportunity to occupy the most core territory of the Primordial Universe, they lacked the ability to do so.

After all, the Beijiang Alliance was merely a community of shared interests composed of countless alliances. When facing invasion by foreign races, they could naturally unite;

but if it was a matter of expanding outward together, the scheming among them would be plentiful.

After all, within the entire Beijiang Alliance, aside from the Beijiang Alliance Master, the most powerful was merely the Lord Liu Lan Race.

Yet the Lord Liu Lan Race today had only six Universe Masters. Like the current human race, once angered, they could directly erase the Lord Liu Lan Race from this Primordial Universe. How then would they dare to clash with the four great peak races over territory?

As for those top forces a notch weaker, such as the Thorn Ring Alliance, the Sanshan Alliance, the Ethereal Alliance, and so on, they were even less daring to participate.

After all, their entire faction might have fewer than ten Cosmic Masters; if they get involved, annihilation is very likely.

Of course, there are exceptions—such as the Nine Realms Alliance, where Seeing Yan Di resides!

At this moment, the high-ranking leaders of the Nine Realms Alliance were gathered together to discuss this matter.

"This is our opportunity!"

Seeing Yan Di looked at the assembled Cosmic Masters of the Nine Realms Alliance, then solemnly said: "The King Jin Zhi of the Meng Yao Zu contacted me, seeking to ally with our Nine Realms Alliance against that human race!"

"If we help the Meng Yao Zu defeat that human race, treasures and resources will be ours for the taking!"

"Even peak-tier treasures, normally impossible to obtain, are entirely within reach!"

"Seeing Yan Di!"

After hearing these words, Jue Feng Zhi could not help but speak: "You are my close friend—I was the one who convinced everyone to accept you into our Nine Realms Alliance when you broke away from that human race!"

"And I know you harbor deep grudges against that human race, so we never objected when your Yan Shen Clan entered the Outlands to fight them!"

"But now you want to bind our Nine Realms Alliance to the Meng Yao Zu's war chariot, making us their vanguard against that human race—that is utterly unacceptable!"

"Yes, Seeing Yan Di!"

Another Cosmic Master of the Nine Realms Alliance quickly spoke up: "This time, that human race invaded the Meng Yao Zu's territory and wiped out five Meng Yao Zu Cosmic Masters, including King King Nianjiao Zhi—and even destroyed one of Xue Qin Zhi's incarnations!"

"Though our Nine Realms Alliance has eleven Cosmic Masters, the strongest among us are only on par with King King Nianjiao Zhi—how could we possibly stand against that human race?"

"The strength of that human race is truly terrifying!"

Another Cosmic Master soon added: "My clan has only me as a Cosmic Master—if I fall, my clan will face extinction. I absolutely cannot risk it!"
