Chapter 436

Su Quan said with a smile: "Tell your dad you're not going back tonight."

Laurel Lance's face turned red instantly, even redder than when Su Quan was measuring her for the combat suit just now!

"This, wouldn't that be bad?"

Su Quan raised an eyebrow: "You don't want to?"

Laurel Lance's eyes drifted slightly: "It's, it's not that I don't want to, it's just—wouldn't it be too fast? You went out to sea with Sara yesterday, and today you're telling me not to go home tonight. I, I'm afraid my dad won't agree."

Su Quan said solemnly: "In a few months, you'll be leaving Starling City to go to college, right? It won't be as convenient to do whatever you want then. I think we need to seize the time."

"Alright, I, I'll go call him." Laurel Lance was persuaded; she really didn't have much time left.

Su Quan watched her turn and walk into the distance, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but lift slightly, revealing a wicked smile.

The art of language is indeed profound; sometimes ambiguous words can yield unexpected gains.

The reason Su Quan asked her to stay the night was for Malcolm Merlyn. He deliberately mentioned Malcolm Merlyn to Moira Queen because he wanted to snatch the Green Arrow's boss and let him serve as a practice partner for Laurel Lance.

Malcolm Merlyn is the CEO of Merlyn Global Group on the surface, but in secret, he is a member of the League of Assassins and has earned the title of "The Magician."

However, this title is far less famous than "The Dark Archer" and "The Black Arrow"!

The explosion of the Queen father and son's yacht and the shipwreck were his handiwork. In other words, he was the one who killed Luo Bote Queen and brought about the birth of the Green Arrow.

That's not even the worst of it; he also gave Luo Bote Queen a green hat—Thea Queen is his daughter, only he doesn't know it yet.

It can be said that Luo Bote Queen meeting Malcolm Merlyn was the worst luck of his eight lifetimes.

That's not even the worst of it; what's even more ruthless is that his son, Tommy Merlyn, perfectly inherited this trait.

In the original plot, Tommy and Oliver were good brothers—good brothers, no need to be polite, right? After Oliver was shipwrecked and presumed dead, Tommy decided to take on the responsibility of a good brother and resolutely decided to take care of Oliver's girlfriend.

And then, after taking care of her, she became his own girlfriend.

Su Quan thinks their family shouldn't be surnamed Merlyn; they should be surnamed Cao!

The sun set, and the sun and moon alternated.

After finishing dinner, the folding doors and windows of the bookstore slowly lowered, and Su Quan and the somewhat nervous Laurel Lance went to the second floor.

The bookstore has three floors in total: the first floor is the business area, the second floor is the residential area, and the basement is the storage room, but it's empty now; there's nothing to store at all.

Su Quan and Laurel Lance watched TV for a while and chatted about the law school she was about to attend. Before they knew it, time had passed just like that.

Seeing that the clock on the wall had already pointed to eleven, Su Quan still didn't rush or give any hints. Laurel Lance spoke up hesitantly.

"It's getting late, I, I'm a bit sleepy."

"We haven't gotten to the main business yet," Su Quan said with a smile.

Laurel Lance hesitated: "Then, then let's get to it."

"Alright!"

Su Quan's mouth lifted, and he reached out and pointed to the roof: "Just in time, the main character has already arrived. Next, start your performance!"

Laurel Lance looked up at the roof blankly. What are you talking about? What main character? Aren't you the main character?

Wait!

Could it be that he's talking about the opponent he arranged for me? So he didn't mean that at all when he asked me to stay, but rather he knew the opponent would only come at night?

Laurel Lance thought about her previous performance and the things she had said—oh my god, it was so embarrassing!
